365 Days To Love-Chapter 235 - TWO HUNDRED AND THIRTY-FIVE:The Zeal To Fight For Her Life...The only Reason Being Zaiden.
"Is there no way to get it out of her system, without the risky operation?"
Zaiden found himself asking Doctor Sam,as much as he’s trying not to snap at the news he got after the CT and MRI scan.He couldn’t hide it on his face that he’s on the verge of going crazy.
"There’s something you have to do doctor,I know there is.You can’t let her die,you said that the operation is risky, what other option do i have to save her when there’s none!"
He evaporated out in anger.
Disbelief and absolute disregard for the new information he got,Hazel is left with no choice but to go ahead with the risky operation that her chances of surviving is just only but fifty percent.
He tried to conclude that Hazel’s choice of doctor was inexperienced, maybe he shouldn’t have agreed to let her come here.
There’s still far better hospitals like in Canada..maybe India.yes India!
But who was he kidding to think that a renowned doctor, all over the country would be inexperienced when it comes to Hazel’s case?
This is the city’s central hospital,a federal hospital at which its facilities and staff were top notch.
So,why does he think that he couldn’t save Hazel?
"I suggest you calm down Mr.Knights.This all wouldn’t have escalated to this stage of she had done the surgery months ago"Doctor said, while shaking his head in total confusion over what is happening.
If he can remember, there was practically a 90% chance that she would survive if she had had ahead with the surgery.
Hazel has been one unpredictable patient that he couldn’t read,he had blamed it all on the effects that she is depressed at almost everything, and had suggested she meet a psychologist.
It got worse when she got sick. Symptoms that were mainly associated with the disease she had now.
It took a whole lot of convincing on his side, for her to be coming up for checkups and also taking her drugs. If there was anything he could remember about Hazel,it was the fact that she waited for her death.
She wanted to die.She was vexed towards life, and has clearly wanted to end her life using the disease as an excuse.
But right now things have changed,it turned out that his patient has been all long the famous daughter in-law of the Knight’s.
Here she was, with her fiance trying to get herself fixed up.She was trying to pick up from where she stopped, but what she didn’t know was that time waits for no one.
She can’t eat her cake and have it back, the tumor had eaten deeply into her brain so there’s low assurance to give him that she would make it out alive.
Even if she did, there is no guarantee that it would entirely be out.She will have to live her entire life depending on drugs to keep herself stable.
Yet,that was the only best option right now for the two couples, but the problem at hand right now was the fact that there’s been no reply from the patient while her fiance wants things done.
The surgery can’t be done without her consent, no matter how badly Zaiden wanted to do it at all cost.He was willing to do anything to save his girl, and he’s happy that finally Hazel had one real person in her life.
The girl had literally been lonely all her life, and it seems the heavens decided to have mercy on her soul by her meeting Zaiden, just the way she was still lucky to be alive up till now.
How that was possible,he couldn’t really tell and there’s no way Hazel was willing to speak up about it either. So, he had to respect her privacy, and concentrate more on the surgery ahead. That would be if she consents.
"She will have the surgery?"Zaiden said, speaking on behalf of Hazel who had no idea that the results of her test had come out.
The doctor smiled, before shaking his head in denial."I’m sorry Sir, but that would be for the patient to tell us and not you.safety of the doctor is required"
"Do i look like one that would go back on my word, and have you implicated?!"Zaiden bursted out in anger, but man, calm down!
This was not the doctor’s fault, but the rules and regulations in the hospital. But that would be for others to consider, not Zaiden.
But he had to let Hazel know about this, yet he’s scared that she wouldn’t want to push through with the surgery once she sees how dangerous the situation is.
"Fine,"Zaiden said, standing up with the test results in his hands."I will let her know and call you back once we are ready"
Damn!
The doctor smiled...again.
It was as if he wasn’t really bothered about their situation or was this how he behaves to everyone?
Zaiden couldn’t help but ask,he’s literally on the verge of going insane as every step he took towards Hazel’s room reminded of the loss that he’s about to face.
The doctor’s words were still very much alive in his memory.
50% chance of her making it out alive, while the rest has to do with if the patient has a strong will to survive.
Record’s had it that many had died a few minutes after the surgery, and many weren’t able to live with the deformation and had taken their lives..
But Hazel?
He was not aware of what’s running in her mind, she would go ahead with the surgery right?
She has to.For them.
"Babe"Hazel’s voice snapped him out of the trance he was in,he didn’t even know when he had arrived at her ward.
From the look of things, she’s looking fine . There’s been no symptoms lately, and that was a strong reason for him to know that his baby girl was strong.
She will survive. She has always been a survivor for years,a mere operation wouldn’t take her down.it won’t.
"Sweetheart"he called, waking closer to peck her lips as she smiled brightly at him, she wasn’t scared.
Hazel wasn’t scared, she had known this day would come but here he was trying to hold it from breaking down in front of her.
"How are you feeling?"He palmed her cheeks.
"I’m fine as you can see,so,what did the test results say because i knew that I’m going to die real soon?"She asked, her voice changing from that of a lively person to that of someone mourning.
She’s been pretending to be okay, now, she’s crying.
"I’m sorry sweetheart,I will do anything to be in the situation that you are right now."He paused,"I can imagine the pain you are in right now,and I feel stupid that i can’t be able to do anything about that"
"It’s..not your fault Zaid.Stop blaming yourself,"She said, cleaning his dry cheeks.
He is crying.
Zaiden was crying looking at her face,as she too couldn’t contain the tears and left it all out.
"The chance of you making it out alive is just fifty percent,he won’t prepare for the surgery without you giving your consent."He explained, giving the test result to her.
"I..."she stuttered.
"You are going to go ahead with the surgery right?"He beat her to ask the question that had been on his mind before she said whatever that was opposing what he wanted
She said nothing, but stared at the results and that scared the shot out of him.
Why is she hesitating?
Does she want him dead?
"Why are you not saying any..."
"I will do it"She finally said, cleaning her tears.if there’s one good reason to fight for her life, that is only for the sake of Zaiden.
She can’t bear to leave him.Not even for a single second.
"Ba.."Zaiden could have sworn that he didn’t hear what she said.
"I will go ahead with the surgery,so please stop..."She was cut short by him pulling her in for a deep kiss ,as she encircled her hands around his neck.Deepening the kiss.
"I love you so much it hurts Hazel Knights,I love you so much"Zaiden cried, hugging her as she let the tears flow endlessly while she held onto him for dear life.
There’s no hiding that she wasn’t scared of the situation, but she had never been sure of anything just the way she is right now.
She wants more time with Zaiden, and this time,She’s willing to do anything to get that.
