James watched her.
She’s at the garden and had been keeping her distance with him lately, although she doesn’t know that he knew what all this was all about.
She changed after meeting up with her husband that morning,and one thing about her was the fact that she was like an open book to him.
He could read her so easily,and unfortunately, Mary can do that too.She already suspects that they had something going on with each other.
She wasn’t a kid not to notice what the problem was too,this was what he feared and had avoided anything that would lead to this moment.
But it seems like it wasn’t his luck when it comes to love,he lost Mary’s mother and was really happy when he found Isabella,she completes him and makes him feel things not even Mary’s mother can do to him.
But the mistake was the fact that she was married,had he committed a huge crime by falling in love with a married woman.
She had assured him that she wasn’t going back to her husband,He had agreed because months ago she was driven by nothing but anger and revenge on her husband.

There’s absolutely nothing he can do to change her mind,she had always loved him.Her feelings for him didn’t change with the gears that went.
It never did change.
He should have seen the signs.Yeah,she made it pretty clear to him that she wasn’t interested in moving past the zone of friendship with him.
But he wanted more.He couldn’t help but be greedy,and wanted more with the woman he grew to love.
So,he had to fake it up that she’s his wife, even to his daughter who didn’t know the real truth about their relationship.He wanted everyone to know that she’s his wife.
Especially her husband, Antonio.The fool was so lucky to have such a lovely woman as a wife, and yet he played with the god given treasure he had by treating her badly.
Yet, amidst everything he did,He’s still lucky that her feelings for him didn’t change,she might act like she doesn’t care about him any longer,but he knew her better than she knew herself.
Coupled with the fact that her children were now in the picture,she got what she wanted.To find her daughter and he’s happy that she got her wishes granted.
She can be at rest now, she wouldn’t stay up late at night anymore while thinking of where her child was and she would not skip her meals any longer.
He’s never been happier in his life that finally Bella would be happy once again,he had always wanted her to be happy.
If her happiness meant going back to her husband and her kids? He would gladly move back and let her enjoy her life.
After all,life didn’t plan that he was going to spend the rest of his life with her,he was already off limits because she’s married and didn’t get a divorce either before leaving him.
She was nothing but a runaway wife that was about to settle things with her family.That’s what she was.
He said was happy for her.
He wants the very best for her,and if that included him not being in the picture.He wouldn’t mind.
But he felt bad.
His heart was bleeding, because he knew that it wouldn’t belong before she tells him that she would be leaving.
He always knew that this day would come,but he had gone along to get his hope’s high that he meant more than just a friend to her.
He was nothing but a helper to the lady when he had met her in paris,she desperately needed help and he provided that for her.
That’s what he was to her.A helper,but he has gone along to develop feelings for a woman who belonged to another man.
Was he not greedy?
Was that not biting more than he can chew?
Isabella deserved better,and better is not with her husband.A real man who loved his wife wouldn’t allow her to be disgraced and sent out of the family, because of some alleged accusation that doesn’t even have any evidence to back it up.
Antonio Sinclair really took a big risk by letting a woman like Bella slip from his fingers,that easily and yet he’s still lucky that she was here brooding over the fact that maybe going back to him would be the right thing to do.
If there’s anything he’s not going to do,it was to force Bella to do what she doesn’t intend on doing.
Just because he wasn’t happy over the fact that she was keeping her distance lately with him,and kept their conversation as simple as that of a business man and his client.
That doesn’t give him the mind to push her into taking a decision just because of him.He will support whatever decision she makes out of this.
That’s what he will do, and then he will let her take the step without wavering.She had a freedom to her thoughts and right to choose what’s right for herself.She’s no kid.
He forced a smile on his face,trying as much as possible not to let her notice that he’s affected with the way she’s been being distant lately.
"Hey"He walked up to her,and from his peripheral vision saw her wipe her face clean with the pad of her hands.
She was crying.
"James,I didn’t know you were at home"She said, forcing a smile on her face while folding her hands, but not without trying as much as possible to keep her gaze on him.
She couldn’t look him in the eyes,and that’s another sign for him to notice that the games have changed.
"You know you never really told me about your conversation with him,or am i intruding into your ...."
"It’s not that way you think of it James,I just couldn’t really bring myself to tell you what exactly he wanted because.. you think that i might...that i might.."
"Want him?’’James completed the statement for her,and this time her eyes are on the same level as his.
"Actually it’s...not..."She stuttered again.
"It’s okay Bella,I don’t mind if you really want to go back to him"He said looking away from her,he didn’t want her to see the lies in his words.
"James..."She called feeling bad already for what he said,this was the conversation she was avoiding but here he was, talking as if it’s not a big deal when it’s a big deal.
He was right.
There might be a part of her that wanted to go back to Antonio.
"Wow! The weather is really nice today for a walk on the beach"He exclaimed,before turning to her,"What do you say we go on a date?"
"A date?"
"Yeah sweetheart, whatever you think of it anyway,I just want to spend today with you"He said,patting her cheeks,"I don’t know when it will be the last time I’m going to do that with you"He muttered to himself.
"So,what do you say?"He persisted further, even when it’s obvious to him that she’s feeling bad with every passing second.
She watched him.
The way he camouflaged his sad mood just to not bother her with the fact that he’s not okay with what has been going on lately.
James was a nice man.
He’s being good to her.
But Antonio was her husband and the man she loved.
Yet,why does she feel bad that she might lose a diamond while chasing a stone?
"A date it is,"She said, trying as much as possible not to cry.
This was harder than she thought.
Leaving James for Antonio?
Would she be able to do that?
