365 Days To Love-Chapter 225 - TWO HUNDRED AND TWENTY-FIVE: He can’t Lose Sophia.
"You know she’s going to be fine Eli, nothing is going to happen to her.She could probably be at some friend’s place you know"Ezekiel tried calming his brother down for the hundredth time.
But it wasn’t an easy job.
"Seriously?"Avery looked at her husband,it was as if he was too excited over the fact that they had reconciled not to notice who Sophia was.
She doesn’t have a friend!
"She just wants to give me a high blood pressure, I’m sure of that brother. Why is she not picking up her calls?"
Elijah asked no one in particular, while walking in circles. He was deeply worried about his wife.
He wasn’t able to sleep the whole night, Sophia has made sure that his blood pressure accelerates more than it’s normal level by shunning him for the rest of the night.
The endless messages and calls didn’t go through, and luckily her phone was switched on later in the night but still, she didn’t respond to his call.
There’s no answer for this, for what she’s doing if not that she’s hiding because she’s done something bad.
Elijah was worriedly sick, his mind wasn’t at rest, not at all.Who knew who she had hurt this time to go into hiding?
But since the police weren’t after her,and there’s no being any news going on about any murder,he tried to calm his spirit down and wave off the thought that she killed someone.
Nathan was probably on his way right now,the news of his mother’s disappearance had made him regain his senses.
It’s partially his fault and also his fault because she’s nowhere to be found. At Least,if he was at home,He could have known where his mother had gone.
Although,he could tell that nothing would have changed either if he was at home. He’s not on good terms with her because of his feelings with Hazel.
Elijah didn’t know if that would be another problem, that would arise to question the peace and unity that’s in the family.
He’s sure of his son’s feelings towards Hazel, and he had run away from him to his villa because he’s heartbroken over what Hazel did.
But he couldn’t really blame or question her actions. She had gone through a lot and maybe running away with Zaiden had been the best option.
Well it was, because he’s sure that his uncle had something planned out for the young lady,he has eavesdropped on his conversation with his men about doing a background search on her.
Unluckily for him, there was nothing he could use against the girl, because she had no one.
She’s an orphan, but not anymore. She’s Sinclair’s missing child, and it was his fault that she’s in this condition.
Remembering all his past actions,he knew that he didn’t deserve to get forgiveness, not at all.Hazel being an orphan for years had been his fault.
If he hadn’t supported Antonio in getting rid of her mother ,when he started feeling insecure over the fact that she might be cheating on him with her ex,things wouldn’t have been this way.
He didn’t deserve their forgiveness at all, especially that of Hazel. Not only did he ruined her life at an earlier age,he still made her staying her at the family house terrible
Was fate not amazing?
If anyone might have known that she’s Antonio’s daughter,no one would have believed that, not at all.
Fate really played a fast one on them, and tied the destinies of the family together, and that’s because Hazel had always been a unique personality.
She was an innocent and lovely soul that was opportuned, to meet Avery who was smitten by her to get her married to her son.
If she didn’t meet the family, would she have met her real parents?
Touching his already aching temple, that was filled with nothing but grief over his past actions,he had a lot to do.
His family was cool with him,but what about Antonio, Isabella and of course their daughter,Hazel.
With the way she shunned her family’s was enough for him to know there’s no forgiveness coming his way,if he did went to ask for her forgiveness.
Would she forgive Sophia too?
They had done a lot to her,and that had also included his son nearly run-in Zaiden over just because he wanted her for himself.
Did he also forget to mention that inplace of that dead guard, that she was the one that was meant to die?
His wife wanted her dead.
All these acts upon an innocent soul that don’t do them no wrong, how can she forgive them? 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶
He really messed up.He did,but this time he will spend the rest of his life amending those mistakes.
He will endlessly and continue asking for their forgiveness until he gets, likewise Sophia.
Which was where his concern was,If he can remember Sophia can be more stubborn than him and this may tend to be a problem if she refuses to stop what she’s doing.
She doesn’t realize this, but the more she planned on hurting others. She also ends up hurting herself too, in ways that she would end up regretting all the days of her life.
He could still remember the look on her face, when she recalled that she killed someone the next morning after what she did.
She didn’t notice that he saw how hard she was trying not to believe what she did, which was what made him believe that beneath that strong heart of hers was a kind Sophia.
A kind Sophia who didn’t want that sort of life for herself, she was used to it because that’s as a result of the environment she grew into.
Her uncle was just like her, maybe more dangerous than her.She had told him how he forced her to adapt to the kind of life he sorted out for an eight year old kid.
Sophia didn’t come from a rich background, she was just like Hazel when he met her.
An orphan.
An orphan who had captured his heart, the first day he saw her nearly being beaten for pickpocketing.
That was the very first time he felt pity for anyone else, unlike him there are others in the world who weren’t opportuned or born with a silver spoon.
That’s who Sophia was,she has been alone all her life after her uncle died when she was fifteen.
There had been something about her that drew him to her, that made him take her in as his wife even when his dad was solely against it.He had insisted that he gets married to someone who’s worthy of him.
Sophia wasn’t worthy to be called a knight, and that has been the starting point of her hatred towards him.
Would she find a place in her heart to forgive his dad?
"The cops will be here soon son,you have nothing to worry about. she’s safe and will be home soon"His dad assured him, placing his hand on her shoulder and rubbing lightly on it.
"Thanks..dad"His voice was raspy,he hadn’t got used to the fact that they were no longer enemies.
That’s what he saw them as,he saw his family members as nothing but his enemies. But his dad had not for once considered him that.
Looking up to his dad to say something, his eyes caught some other figure that just entered into the sitting room without anyone’s notice.
Sophia.
There she was standing with a confused look on her face, which was directly to him and to his dad.
"What’s wrong son?"The old man asked, getting everyone’s attention as they turned to look at where Elijah’s gaze was fixed on.
"Finally"Avery muttered, walking up to Sophia who was still looking at her husband, and pulled her in for a hug.
Her body stiffened at the contact with Avery, and she pinched herself to be sure that she wasn’t dreaming.
Avery just hugged her?
What the hell is happening?
"Get ..away from me"She pushed her aside, before moving to the further end of the room before taking out the knife she had planned to use on Vanessa.
"Woah...baby it’s alright"Elijah called her attention, taking slow calculative steps towards her as Avery shifted away and scurried into the arms of her husband.
"What’s ha.. ppening? She..just hugged me baby"She stuttered, with her knife still in her hands but not directed at her husband who was coming close to her.
"We were worried about you , Sophia"Grandpa said this time, making her scoff at his words.
"Says the enemy"She sassed back.
"Sophie, they aren’t the enemy anymore okay? "Elijah said, standing before her,as she clutched her head with her left hand as if she was in pain.
"You..what do ...you mean?"She asked, gasping for air the moment the knife in her hand dropped to the ground, before a scream left her lips.
"Babe...Sophia!"Elijah was fast in catching her before she could fall into his arms before playing her on the couch.
"What’s wrong with her bro?"Ezekiel asked, moving up to him.
"Her medicines, she skipped her drugs I’m sure of it"He said, moving some strands of her hair away from her face as she whimpered in pain,a scream left her lips again.
"Where’s her medicine?"Grandpa asked, touching her temple,"She’s heating up"
"In her closet,the last draw"
"I will get it"Avery said and with that, dashed out to find her drugs.
"It’s hurt....in..g"Sophia cried, still clutching her hand as the tears spilled out of her face.
"I know,it will end soon,I will call the doctor over"Elijah said, taking out his phone with desperate shaky hands to call her doctor.
He can’t lose Sophia.
