Chapter 134: Chapter ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY-FOUR:Her Child Is Dead.

She’s dead.

The words still sounded foreign to Mrs Brown, that she felt numb throughout the entire discussion with the lady who told how she died.

She was a failure. She failed as a mother and there’s no way she’s going to live each passing day without blaming herself for her daughter’s demise.

At first she didn’t want to believe it, denying it to the end even when she was being consoled by the nun,she just couldn’t take it.

She leaned against the wall,as the tears streamed down her face while regretting each passing moment of her life for what she did.

Her baby died.

She died!

All because of her.

She should have come sooner to get her away from here, maybe things would have turned out differently right?

The nun said that she died from a rare disease which was not figured out earlier when she was just a few years old.

Nine years.

she was not even able to grow up into an adult, not at all.

This was unfair!

I killed my baby.

Mrs Brown blamed herself, there was no reason worthwhile living again on this earth, her child was the only reason she agreed to coming back to this country.

What would Ethan think of her once he gets to know his sister was no more?

Numerous thoughts at how her boy was going to take the news crossed her mind, that she was already having goosebumps over meeting him.

Antonio.

She didn’t want to think of his own opinion, when it’s all his fault this happened in the first place.

Ruth.

That has been her name given to her by Lady Morgana, the head of the orphanage and also the name written at the back of the picture.

She died.

"Are you okay ma’am?"the sister from earlier asked, when she crossed the hallway and saw the kind lady from earlier leaning against the wall with tears strolling down her face.

She felt pity and decided to know what exactly was bothering the pretty lady.

Mrs.Brown cleaned her tears at the sound of someone’s voice, sniffing as she took her glasses and put it on to hide her tears.

Turning to the sister from earlier, she smiled"I’m ..fine"She struggled to admit it,which the sister noticed.

"You know I’m here to help. ’’The sister offered, placing her hand on her shoulder as she rubbed her hands together in a soothing way so as to not break down in front of her too.

"I’m fine,I guess it’s time i take my ..leave"She said,as the lady retracted her hand placed on her shoulder while watching her as she bowed and left.

She nearly fell down when she came out of the place had it not been for the swift arrival of her driver, who held her before she could fall fully to the ground.

"Ma’am,are you okay?"Her driver asked,as she sniffed and stood up straight.

"The car keys,I want to be left alone"She said as he watched her, concern written on his face when he dipped his hands in his pockets and gave her the keys.

She took it from him, without any further conversation at where she was headed, which he wanted to ask her, because he was given strict instructions not to let her out of his sight by Mr.Brown.

"But ma.."

"I will be back in a jiffy"She replied coldly, and in a jiffy rode away from the orphanage to the destination she was given to by the Nun earlier.

Halting her car,she came down with slow breathing, her heart stomping loudly while she walked into the graveyard, looking at her daughter’s information she held in her hand.

She’s not going to believe that easily until she sees for herself if truly she was dead, the Nun could be lying so,she had to find out for herself.

But the moment she was approaching the gravestone while checking the number, her braveness started withering at the thoughts of it being the truth that she died.

Mrs.Brown hands fell at her sides in total disbelief, when she stopped at the gravestone bearing the name, Ruth chesterfield.

"No no..no no"She uttered in denial, shaking her head with her eyes shut tightly with the tears in them struggling to break free.

Squatting down in front of the gravestone, she didn’t know how to start apologizing to her dead child, she just didn’t know what to say other than the fact that she too deserved to die.

"I’m..so sorry baby, your mother is sorry"She cried, caressing the top of her grave and talking to it as if she was still alive.

"I’m..so..rryyy"She admitted, clutching her heart in pain.

Mrs.Brown spent a couple of hours shedding tears that nearby passersby felt pity for the woman who was balling her eye out at the gravestone.

"I will make him pay"She promised, her eyes were dangerously red, staring at the gravestone with a new determination which was filled with nothing but hatred and revenge that was coming to Antonio’s way.

"I will make him pay for everything,I promise"She said coldfully, cleaning her tears, while caressing the stone.

Antonio has just drawn a battle line and she’s definitely not going to go easy on him for what he did to her.

Because of him,her daughter was dead, she’s not going to rest until he too was also dead.

He should count his days, his days of happiness are over, because she’s going to make his life a living.

He’s going to plead for mercy, but no one would be willing to grant him,not even Ethan.

He would pray for a quick death, but she’s not going to grant him that, his days will be filled with loneliness, regrets, sufferings which she and her daughter had gone through.

There’s absolutely no redemption fir what he did to her,a damage has been done which there’s no repair, the only thing that could end all this was him suffering and dying.

Antonio Sinclair would suffer, not just suffer,he would pay tremendously!

He would pay ten times more than what he did!

She would make sure of that.

Susan looked at herself in the room,a calm expression on her face as if she did not just lie, which was against what she practiced.

If her mother knew what she just did,she would make her suffer for the act she just pulled, she would have disowned her as a child.

Which she wasn’t scared of anymore,in the very first beginning she never really treated her as her biological child and was always more amiable to that wench,Hazel.

Had it been her mother was not sick, she would have been the one who would have met Hazel’s mother. Knowing who she was,she would gladly give her every single darm information about her daughter.

But she’s glad, she’s happy for the first time in her life that she did something like this, she had waited for a day like this to come.

A day to pay back what that wench had always stolen from her, does she think after stealing her mother’s affection, that she’s going to let her see her real mother too?

She had always been lucky, just like the very first day her mother had picked her up in front of the orphanage and given her the name,Hazel.

The wench had always been good at everything, she couldn’t see anything special about her.

She stole everything from her,her mother, her mothers time and devotion was always on her as if she’s some precious child.

Well, she was,her mother was alive and really rich and now she’s back for her.

Susan scoffed at the guts of the lady, she abandoned her child for years and now she’s back for her as if it was her duty to take care of that wench.

She had the right to question the walkabout of her child,as if this was some sort of charity organisation.

Well, good luck to her finding her child if she doesn’t believe she is dead, but she’s sure the woman bought her lies, why won’t she?

She won’t even be able to recognize her own child if eventually she met Hazel, how could she tell she was her child?

She couldn’t and won’t let Hazel have everything, not ever going to happen.

Since she stole her mother from her, isn’t it fair she did the same to her?

After all, what does she need her real mom for? Lady Morgana had acted as her motherly figure for years.

"Good luck, finding your child"Susan thought, smiling to herself as she raised the check up,smelling it and hiding it under her bible when she felt her door open.

"I see the kind lady had left?"Sister Jane asked,as Susan rolled her eyes at her statement before turning to face her with a pretentious smile on her face.

"Yeah,a few minutes ago i guess"Susan replied, sitting down on her seat while pretending she was busy so that the nosy sister could leave.

"She looked sad when i saw her"

Susan’s movement stilled when she heard her statement,oh she did see her.

"I didn’t notice that"She lied, taking her pen out to write something but paused again by Jane’s question.

"Was she here for her child?"she asked,"she didn’t look like someone who would abandon a child"

"Well, not everyone are angels. Sister Jane ’’Susan closed the book and dropped the pen, standing up to stop in front of her."your kind lady did abandon her baby"She mocked, chuckling to herself.

"Who’s her child?"Jane asked, ignoring her comment,"I guess her child is signed out for her to be looking that way"

"No"Susan denied, grabbing her shoulders in her hands"Her child is dead"she whispered, and turned the door open"Now get back to work, sister Jane!" she said in a bosslike way and shoved her out of her office before she could say further.

"Idiot"Susan cursed, closing her door shut while smiling at what she just did.

She just couldn’t wait to know how all these would unfold.

Would Hazel come back and ask for her real mother too?

The bitch won’t dare to do it.
