Things have changed.
Zaiden knew that and he knew it affected him greatly,as much as he doesn’t want to admit it.
Staring at his sleeping beauty who was still asleep,he gulped down the last remains of the wine. He was trying to get himself drunk so as to forget the happenings in these few days.
Hazel is in danger!
Which he doesn’t know who was behind the murder of the guard, according to his dad and grandpa they haven’t exactly told him what it is they are planning secretly.
Earlier,he had walked out in anger after hearing that Hazel is in danger to demand from his grandpa who exactly was plotting evil in the family.
His grandpa didn’t give him any definite answer,his uncle had earlier left after the cops left to come back another day for the interrogation of every single member of the family.
Oddly,his dad and grandpa were suspecting his uncle which made him confused,his uncle,which he knew was not on their side and would do anything to have Nathan as the heir but he won’t soil his hands or go to extreme means to kill someone.
What does he stand to gain if he’s after Hazel?
Besides,he was excited about bringing Hazel back to the family the last time they had a discussion in the sitting room,so,if he’s actually the one that killed the guard,what has it got to do with Hazel?
His grandpa had sent him out of the room when he got more anxious to know exactly what he and his dad was planning,his grandpa had said he’s too rash in decisions and always allows his anger clouds his judgement,so it would be a bad idea letting him know about their plan.
But what still bothers him was hiw fast he has changed,recalling back to few months ago,he had been a pathetic fool to be bothered about what Arianna did to him.
But he didn’t know,what she did to him was like a miracle in disguise because it led him to Hazel.

The woman who has made him feel desperate to try a second chance at fallin in love,but that’s just the problem here.
The problem was the fear of losing her if eventually he falls for her,and also coupled with the fact that he doesn’t know her that much.
She’s so secretive and this irked him off,he knew how frustrating it is while trying to know who exactly and what she wants from the marriage,and this has been the bone of contention between the two of them.
Nathan wants her and with the way she’s acting whenever he’s around makes him suspect that the two were something.
For crying out loud,he’s just trying not to make a second mistake and also coupled with the fact that she’s about to the next victim to try murderer,he didn’t want to put his life in danger for someone who isn’t worth it.
He met her in a club,she’s a whore!
For god sake Zaiden! How exactly do you know she’s a whore just because you saw her in a club?
He questioned himself,and he knew he’s actually stupid for assuming that of her without having a valid evidence to back up his assumption.

His phone beeped as he slide through it to see the message coming from Luke to remind him of the dinner appointment tonight.

He had forgotten so soon about it,glancing at his watch that it was still two in the afternoon,so that gives them more time to prepare for dinner like Hazel,who has been sleeping for hours now.
Isn’t it time she wakes up?
He thought.
Taking a brief stare at her to see her,stirring in her sleep,she mumbled some incoherent words which made him smile because he knew she’s dreaming about him.
How do you know it’s you she’s dreaming about you?
His conscience asked,but he waved it aside remembering that earlier, she had called his name in the morning when he asked her to let him take care of her.
How is she going to react once she finds out that someone was after her?
His dad had told him not to let her know yet about the threat on her head but he knew Hazel,she’s smart and it won’t be long before she knew that the security had tightened around the house than usual, especially around her.
He felt something tug at his chest. If eventually something bad happens to her, he won’t be able to hear it,he knew that.
Not this time, he had decided to give her a chance,he had come to admit that Luke was right,he had fallen for her,but what about her?Was it the same with her or is she pretending?
He remembered the other day she had openly confessed to him that she wanted to kiss him,he was tempted to let her do that, wondering how it would feel to taste her rosy seductive lips once again but he held himself and walked away knowing she lied to him.

She’s his fianceè and he’s her fiance,so what’s wrong about two people who want to get married get intimate with each other?
It’s hard controlling himself around her and she’s making it worse by turning herself on the bed,her skimpy gown traveling up to reveal her pale thighs and her lace panties.

Judging from the position they were,which made him gulp hard, because his front was pressed on her front too,giving him the free entry to do what he wants.
Trying to release herself from him which proved unsuccessful,he took the chance to observe her while she was sleeping.
His girl was an angel.
She had pale natural spotless skin that stood her out from other girls, looking at her one wouldn’t actually believe that she’s not from a wealthy family because everything about her seems outstanding.
Her long lashes were so thick that one would actually think while standing afar if she added extensions to it just like Arianna does to her own.
Her pointed nose stood on at attention drawing him to the very tempting rosy lips that he had kissed once,at their engagement.
That day,he had actually kissed her because he wanted to make Arianna jealous,he hadn’t actually kissed her with his own will and mind.
How about now Zaiden?
He asked himself,while staring at her lips,they were calling to him to take what had been offered to him.
He knew she wouldn’t actually let him kiss her willingly, not after what he had done to her. He’s a jerk for doing that to her and no amount of forgiveness can make her forgive him truly for what he did to her.
She’s still finding it hard to trust him, but he’s going to change that, he’s going to prove to her that he’s a changed man and that he would be the best husband to her.
Where’s that coming from Zaiden?
He knew how hard Luke would laugh at him once he knew of what he’s trying to do,but he knew to achieve this,he would need to keep his pride aside.
What’s the use of fighting with her when she’s still firm in her decision to get married to him?

It’s not worth it if he continues making her life miserable,because in the end that wouldn’t change the fact that he’s attracted to her and he would kill whoever dares think of taking her away from him, especially Nathan.
"What are you doing?"Hazel asked him when she opened her eyes to see him on top of her.
Was he trying to take advantage of her while she’s asleep?
"Nothing"He jerked instantly when he heard her voice, backing away from her tempting body while she scanned him with suspicious eyes before sitting up.
"What’s the time?"she asked him,this time her throat wasn’t constricting,it felt a little better.
"Three I guess, are you hungry?’’He asked, standing up from the bed because it didn’t help at all with his condition,rather it made it worse when he suddenly had a vision of them curled up together in each other’s embrace on the bed.
Hazel noticed his discomfort,since this morning,he’s been acting out if himself and it’s affecting her too,she wasn’t used to this side of his,she has gotten used to his cold side.
Making her wonder if he’s trying to play with her feelings again,this side of his confuses her.
"What’s changed?’’she felt herself asking before she could change her mind,he didn’t reply at first,rather he only smirked and started approaching her with slow steps which made her scared.
What’s he trying to do again?
Her fianceè is scaring the shit out of her with his on and off behaviour,she has acted strong earlier because she was angry at him,but she’s not anymore.

"I’m sorry"He apologized, stunning her.

"We are going on a date,"He grinned.
"What?"Hazel asked,amazed at his sudden changes which made her feel uneasy.

"That’s not going to change anything!"She harshly said when she remembered what pain he caused her.
"No it’s going to change a lot of things babygirl"He said smiling as he stood up from the bed,his back facing her while she’s still trying hard not to fall for his words.

"No,it won’t,"she snapped.
"Yes it will, because this time.."He paused, turning to her,he bent to cup her face while staring into her grey enchanting eyes that were fighting to believe his words.
