"What do you think you are doing?just stop with the fake pretence"Mary snapped at her mother once she and her friends were seated to have lunch just like her step mother offered.
Jenny had earlier added to her frustration by telling her that she doesn’t need to act that way towards her stepmother,she was annoyed at Jenny for believing the act she did.
Her stepmother spoiled the plans they made because they were anticipating her reaction to be her yelling at Mary then they gang up on her to beat her up,but luckily,she was smart enough to pave her way out of their silly plans.
Who exactly is she?
She didn’t know anything about the lady aside from the fact that her father met her in Paris and they fell in love,blah blah the usual love at first sight bullshit.
Mrs.Brown cleaned her mouth with the towel,before turning to look at her stupid and arrogant step daughter who didn’t wait for her friends to leave before starting to piss her off.
Well,she has no other choice than to give her a taste of her own medicine,she had planned on forgetting everything that transpired to day because she doesn’t want to be the one who causes a riff between the father and daughter, but Mary wasn’t helping at all, rather adding more fuel to the fire.
"Now why don’t you shut up and have your lunch like the good girl you are,isn’t it time you stop behaving like a child and grow up Mary..."She lectured,her friends focusing on their meal trying not to interfere in the family matter,what amused her further was her best friend jenny,who she thought was going to put In a word for her.
Likewise,Stacy, who has been strangely silent throughout the whole drama,Lia was no exception.She had her head bowed down in embarrassment as if she was the one who was being reprimanded.
"Mary just stop already,I thought we talked this through.."Jenny interfered but Mary rolled her eyes at her.
"You know what,get the hell out of my house!’’Mary ordered towards the three,Lias mouth was gaped wide at her declaration,Stacy was already going for her bag while Jenny seemed unfazed about what she said.
"You will do no such thing young lady,I invited them for lunch,so you have no right to..."
"To hell with you and your foolish lunch,I don’t give a darm fucking care,all you ever wanted was what belongs to me"Mary stood up getting really over emotional that made Mrs Brown feel bad for what she did, but it wasn’t entirely her fault,Mary is unreasonable when it comes to talking.
"Does she want to cry?"Lia whispered to Stacy but got a knock on her head by Stacy who glared at her.
"Young miss"Zoey interefred when she noticed what was about to happen,with the way things are,it won’t be long before she starts throwing things at the duo.
"You have my dad,and that wasn’t enough for you,and now my friends"she layed out her frustration by taking a cup and throwing it in Zoey’s way who tried holding her.
The head maid stepped further to whisper something to her stepmother which she didn’t know or simply didn’t care what it was she told her,because she’s still pissed off at Jenny and her squad.
"Thanks for the lunch Mrs.Brown ’’Jenny said with a smile at Mary’s stepmom,her eyes falling on Mary briefly, disappointment fell on her features towards her but she simply couldn’t do what she was asked to do.
Her stepmother wasn’t like her real mother,in fact Mary’s real mother has been more of a jerk to her than her stepmom,so she shouldn’t blame her for what she did.
"Girls let’s go"She said turning to the two who stood up, flashing a smile at Mrs.Brown,Lia,the most stupid of them want ahead to hug Mrs.Brown complementing her spotless skin.
"Get out!"Madry yelled and that startled Lia who went away immediately leaving the two to talk things out but they knew it wouldn’t end in peace seeing that Mary wasn’t willing to sort things out between them.
"Sit down and let’s talk"Mrs Brown said mildly but Mary only snorted at her comment,while folding her hands.
"Why should I listen to a gold digger like you?Mary embarrassed her and that seemed to affect her because her movement ceased,looking up at her with anger visible on her face"Why are you so surprised at my statement?it’s not like you haven’t gotten used to the title,so don’t act all ..."
"Leave us"Her stepmother said to Zoey and the head maid who hesitated before they left,Zoey giving a pleading look at the young miss to behave but she rolled her eyes at her,before turning to face her stepmother.
"What exactly do you not like about me?"She asked, making Mary snort at her statement,was she really asking her this question?.
She’s definitely a fool for doing that because even a blind person would know that there wasn’t anything about her that she liked.
"Did you think by trying to talk to me,you would change my mind about you? I’ve wanted to ask you this for a long time but I guess it won’t be necessary anymore to wait"She said,pausing for a bit before sitting down in front of her"What exactly do you want from my dad? Because looking at you,we all know you won’t be able to have a baby so I won’t say that you want a child with him,so what is it?"
She noticed the hesitancy on her stepmother’s face,who smiled at her before taking a glass of water to drink.
"Revenge"she coldly said, holding the glass of water in her hands while noticing Mary’s confused face and the slight fear in her eyes.
She knew it would be a bad idea telling the young Lady about her plans but giving her a little clue wasn’t that bad,I mean,It won’t be long before she hears about who she really was.
"What revenge? Against whom?"Mary’s interest towards what she said intensified,her stepmom mother was one strange woman,she would have to ask her dad who exactly she was because what she saw in her eyes was frightening for a young lady like her.
She had clearly forgotten that she was here to talk things out with her and convince her to leave her dad alone but here she was getting interested in what she has to say about herself.
She wasn’t the observant type but she could admit she noticed the change of composure she had earlier while she was with her friend,it was as if what she said was a really bad experience she wanted to forget but she had gone ahead to talk it out with her, but why?
Why was she willing to tell her what she really wants with her dad,knowing fully well what kind of a human being she was,she wouldn’t hesitate to use it against her.
But the question was who exactly does she want to have revenge on?
"Are you that curious to know?"Her stepmother teased and that’s when she noticed that she had completely forgotten about what exactly was going on between them and was now hooked on knowing about who exactly she was.
"What is this?’’she said annoyingly"I thought you wanted to tell me"she complained,embarrassment flooding her entire being for what she just said.
Trying to deny that she wasn’t anxious to know what she meant,but she couldn’t help it but try not to believe her,for all she cared, this was the very same woman who had taken her father’s love away from her and replaced her mother,so why is she now curious to know about her revenge on who?
"How about you find out yourself who I want to have revenge on? I heard from your dad that you are one step ahead with being a journalist because of your curious nature"Mrs.Brown snickered at her, laughing at her curiosity,she’s no fool to tell her who exactly she was,she just has to exercise patience.
"You are no fun"she said standing up to leave, but got stopped by her stepmother’s words.
"I would advise you young lady"she said, making Mary reluctantly turn to glare at her"you stop smoking,you didn’t want your father losing you too right?"She forewarned.
"What?"Mary gasped.
What right does she have to tell her what to do?
Standing up to walk where Mary was ,still contemplating on what to do with her annoying stepmother,she patted her shoulders.
"Have a nice day"She grinned,walking away while Mary ruffled her hair in anger.
"I hate you!"She shouted at her, frustrated.
"Hate is a strong word Mary,even the devil hates me more than you do for the sins I committed"Mrs.Brown said lastly walking out of the sitting room with Mary staring in blank space at her retreating figure.
Her stepmother is hiding something,she knew that and she’s going to find out,whatever it is,so that she could use it against her.
She’s so annoying!
