The revelation I did was unexpected for the Lady of the Lake and even to Merlin who was just listening to the side. No one would believe it even if they heard it and they might even treat me as a crazy man instead. But at least, Cath Palug decided to even tell them it was a real deal as well is reassuring.

"Does that mean, that place was also inhabited by humans?! How did you manage to cross into this world though?" the lady of the Lake inquired.

"My transfer here is a bit different but some of the people you people call "adventurers" are also people from Earth. They just can come here anytime due to some technology developed there that allows them to transfer their consciousness and with the help of the Goddess of Life, they gain a new power that would allow themselves to be immortal here. Even if they die, they can return to life in the cathedral after. It was my first method of transfer here as well during the first time but after discovering the plot of the Goddess, with the help of some of my elf friends who happened to know something about it started to study and develop a way for us to enter this world without the need of the machine and technology that others use."

"Wait...a lot of those people are humans on Earth that just managed to reach here due to the help of the Goddess?"

I nodded in response. "Yes. And why she was doing this? To immediately trigger the Tree of Life from appearing much earlier and for everyone to see. I bet you guys already have seen the Tree of Life emerging. We fought the Goddess of Life there but I almost got killed, if not for interfering with her plans, she wouldn’t have retreated."

Merlin frowned and rubbed his chin. "So there are things currently happening that we are unaware of. I didn’t know things had already kicked off to a bad start already and here we are, not knowing the truth listening to it now."

"That is a pretty bad thing and her plan is just going to cause more chaos and trouble in the future. She does not seem to care about the people I guess which is why she is more or less not caring about the consequences either. From the looks of it, she wanted more control and authority as well," the Lady of the Lake added.

"One more thing. She is also planning to kill the Goddess of Death as well later on once she gets the power of the Tree of Life as her power. She is saying that the world doesn’t need two goddesses aside from her."

"The Goddess of Death is still alive?" Merlin and the Lady of the Lake were surprised.

"Yes. She is still alive. However, she is not able to do anything right now as she is also doing something that she needed to do as well. Which is why I am tasked to do the deed. And if not for the fact that the Goddess of Life is planning to kill the Goddess of Death, we wouldn’t have even gained the idea of killing her in the first place."

"Then, that is the main reason you wanted to deal with her once and for all?" Merlin asked.

"Yes. I know the problems that will happen if she dies but according to the Goddess of Death, this is no longer something that can just be done for the day and leave it. But for the sake of the world not being ruled by oppression and forced control, I will take this matter with my own hands."

Learning the determination I have with me, the Lady of the Lake is now convinced.

"I am not sure how we can help with this matter but after seeing the future if you failed this terrifies me to large extent. If your success would be the ideal outcome in the end, then I will fully commit on helping you on this task. I will be helping you with the task of taking the Rhongomyniad with you and use it for the battle against the Goddess of Life."

Although reluctant, Merlin sighed and also decided to give a pledge. "Alright, you convinced me. I will also lend my aid. With our help, we will maintain the temporary replacement of the Holy lance to stop the two worlds from colliding. Your task is to retrieve the Holy Lance off from where it was placed and let the lance acknowledge you which will allow you to gain a little bit of power that is enough to keep your body intact and obliterate the goddess for good.

I glanced at the glowing lance. Based on how the others perceive the weapon, this is not just something that me and the others would casually grab and call it a day. And it is also more demanding compared to the Excalibur. However, if that is all of how it should happen, then I will use it and do it. Do it for the sake of both worlds.

"Are you ready?"

"Yes."

"Then, pull the weapon off of the pedestal and let the weapon acknowledge you."

I nodded and approached the glowing spear. It is very intimidating despite being a weapon that holds the most important role in the world. However, I will have to borrow the power first.

Removing my gloves and bracer in my arms, I approached the Rhongomyniad. Even in the distance, the power is overwhelming to the point where I think if I am doing the best thing. I reach out to the Rhongomyniad’s handle slowly but surely.

As I reach out, a huge pressure begin to stop me from even getting closer to the handle. It was strong and violent that I am not sure why it was currently happening buy I pushed through. For the sake of everyone who died, this is not just something I would give up.

"Aaaaargghhhhhh!"

I continue to push through the incredible force that is currently stopping me from getting close. It was like a great force trying to push me away.

Getting more closer to the handle, I can feel a few parts of my skin is tearing off and blood starts to bleed in my hands but I continue to persevere. Even if my hands will be broken in the process.

As my hand is getting near, the pressure released is much stronger and now, it is pushing me away further. But I stood my ground and pushed through. The tears happening in my skin is also getting more painful as well that I can see the flesh on my hand now but I didn’t stop.

"This weapon is too stubborn! Push through!" Merlin angrily cast a spell to increase my strength and my movement in two fold. With the buff from Merlin, I continue to push through the pressure.

"Almost there, Manato! You can do it!" The lady of the lake encourages me as I continue to move with force.

The pain is getting unbearable and if not for my sheer stubbornness refusing to give up, it seems the Rhongomyniad is no longer going to do me any favor.

As my hands is about to touch the handle of the Rhongomyniad, I felt the burning pain in my hand that touched the weapon. Its painful and I am ready to fully cry to the point my feelings that has intensified just now would burst out uncontrollably.

"Come...on! This...is...it!"

Pushing my last power, I soon grabbed a hold of the weapon. However, as soon as my hands got a hold to the handle, pain is inflicted in my head.

"Urgggghhhh aggggghhhhhh!"

Burst of energy exploded to my body that seems to be burning in a very intense flame. It was meant to cause me to let go. But I didn’t and keep my hand currently clutching the weapon. It was like actively burning me in the process.

"Oh no...what are we going to do!?" the Lady of the Lake is now seeing the spectacle scene of me ready to slowly die in the process.

But to my surprise, the one who took action to what I am suffering, is none other than Cath Palug."

"Hey, you little sh*tty! Don’t die on me now!"

And as he said those words, he jumped towards the handle of the Rhongomyniad and took all the brunt of the force.

"Cath Palug!? What are you doing?!"

"What else? I am here to fully suppress the power of the Rhongomyniad and keep this world at least something good for once.

And as he said those words, a surge of power forces Cath Palug’s body, which caused him to scream as well. The prompt is getting stronger as well.

Soon, even the mighty fur of the beast is slowly disappearing as well as the energy continues to burst.

"F*cker! Get its control now while I can still do it!"

With the input of Cath Palug, I decided to do this right here and now. It is time.
