Adrian cut up the chicken meat into small, bite sized pieces before he coated it with flour and dipped it in the beaten egg mixture before tossing them into the bowl filled with bread crumbs.

With the chicken nuggets partially ready, he heated up the beef tallow and fried them in batches of ten. While these cooked, he mixed some flour with egg yolks, kneaded it and stretched the dough out before cutting it into thin strips.

He then cooked some tomatoes in a pot, crushed them and then seasoned them with the perfect amount of salt and pepper before he added the pasta into it and stirred. He then grabbed a block of hard cheese, which looked like Parmesan but wasn’t but it didn’t matter. As long as it was close to it, he’d use it.

He put some in his mouth and enjoyed the cheesy and salty taste of it before he began to cut them into extremely tiny pieces. He wished he could grate it but graters weren’t a thing in this world yet.

He sprinkled a handful of cheese onto the pasta, stirred it and put it aside.

As he tossed in the last remaining pieces of chicken nuggets into the oil, he began to prepare a sauce to go with them.

In a small bowl, he put in a generous amount of honey. He squeezed two fresh limes into the bowl and then added a generous amount of salt and pepper to it before he mixed it up and did a little taste test.

"I wish I knew how to make ketchup but this isn’t bad either." he muttered as he set the bowl aside.

The sauce was sweet, tangy and had both the kick of the pepper and the saltiness to go well with the nuggets.

With all the nuggets ready now, he put them all in a plate and brought the food to the table before calling out to Aria who seemed to be reading a book in the living room.

Aria soon walked into the kitchen and the smell of fried chicken attacked her sensitive nostrils, forcing her to look at Adrian who seemed pretty proud of himself.

She wished she could see what he had made but she was too short to see what was on the table so she walked over, climbed up the chair and saw dishes that she had never seen in her life.

Aria had reached the pinnacle of strength in her past life to the point where she ended up being the main villainess that the protagonist had to defeat even after he beat the demon lord.

But even with all this experience and strength, she never had the luxury to taste good food.

As a child, she was abused by her own family and was only given scraps. Even the servants ate better food than her.

As a teen, she was orchestrated and bullied by her peers in the magic academy.

As an adult, she was banished by the kingdom with a bounty on her head.

Making potions? She was a master at it.

But food? Other than enjoyment and filling her belly, it didn’t serve any other purpose so all she did was to pick the most important part of food, which was to fill her belly.

A smell this inviting, was something she had experienced a long time ago. But it wasn’t connected to anything nice.

All she remembered, was watching her step brothers eat all the good food while she watched with tears in her eyes for the injustice. She had hoped that she’d at least get to eat the left overs since the chefs always made extra but every bit of it was either tossed out or shared among the servants.

But now, the man who had rejected her in her past life had taken her with him.

This alone was hard for her to digest and she wasn’t used to being treated this way, but now, as she looked at the food that smelled and looked absolutely amazing, she really didn’t know how to feel.

For a second, she expected him to eat the entire thing and toss a hard, moldy bread at her face but that did not happen.

Instead, Adrian sat down opposite to her and scooped up a decent portion of the pasta and put it on her plate first. Then, he picked up a handful of nuggets and put them right beside the pasta.

As for the sauce, he poured it into the sauce plate which was technically just a saucer that had a little more depth to it.

Aria, who did not really know how to eat a dish that didn’t have bread, just stared at Adrian in hopes that he could just eat so she could copy his actions.

But contrary to her expectations, Adrian just stared back at her with hopeful eyes.

One wanted the other to eat so she could copy his actions while the other wanted his daughter to taste his food so he could see her reaction first hand.

The two stared at each other for a few seconds in silence before Adrian spoke. 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶

"Eat up, Aria. I made a lot." he said with a toothy grin and the girl cracked.

Her face turned red from embarrassment as she faltered and told him that she didn’t know how the dish was supposed to be eaten.

"Ah.... right." Adrian said and thought to himself, ’Of course... she probably never heard of pasta or chicken nuggets, let alone see them.’

He picked up the fork beside his plate, poked it into the pasta, twirled it around and brought it to his mouth before eating it.

"See, it’s that simple." he said with the sauce all over his lips.

Then, he stabbed one of the nuggets and dipped it into the sauce before bringing it towards Aria’s mouth.

"You just eat it like that. Now say aah."

Aria stared at the nugget, glanced at Adrian and went back to the nugget before she finally opened her mouth and bit into the crispy and tender chicken.

"How is it?" Adrian asked hopefully, but the girl didn’t respond.

Instead, she just grabbed the fork that still had the half bitten nugget and put it in her mouth while she still hadn’t finished swallowing the first bite.
