The Villainess Is My Cute Daughter
Chapter 9: Church’s Request
Adrian lay on his bed in silence as he waited for the upgrade to finish and he didn’t have to wait for long.
He patted his belly filled with food and grinned as he saw the screen.

Choose your Path:
Doting Father: The System will reward you for being a doting father. You’ll receive a bonus every time you conceive a child. The bigger your family, the stronger you’ll be.
Everyone’s Daddy: The man of the house is usually the father and as a leader of a region, you are technically everyone’s daddy. You will be rewarded for taking care of your people and building your territory.
Sugar Daddy: The more you spend on your kids, the stronger you become.
Aria’s Papa: The stronger your bond with your daughter, the stronger the both of you become.
Adrian read through all of the paths and let out a soft sigh.
"The second option seems to be the best but... if Aria can get stronger, then there’s no need for anything else. As someone with E rank mana veins, there’s only so much I can do. But if she’s strong, then she’ll be able to keep herself safe." he muttered as he made the difficult choice and picked the path that mattered the most to him.

He clicked on the skill to see what it did and was left absolutely in awe.
Dungeon Link (SSS) : Dungeons under your name will be linked to you. All monsters in dungeons can be freely controlled and teleported to wherever the Dungeon Master is. You will also be able to access and use all of the dungeon’s mana as your own.
He slowly drifted off to sleep and in another room, the small child sat on her bed with an empty leather bound book in front of her.
"He’s a first circle mage with E rank mana veins but having a top tier mana breathing technique should help him a lot." she muttered as she took out a cloth pouch filled with mana crystals from under her mattress.
She had stolen them from the treasury just in case she might have needed them for emergencies but for some illogical reason, she just wanted to do this for Adrian.
She picked up two crystals, opened up a bottle of ink and placed a quill on top of the book before she closed her eyes and controlled the mana in the crystals to move.
The quill floated up, dipped into the ink and the book opened itself, only to stop midway and close back up again.
Aria grabbed the quill and put it aside with a frown on her face.
"This will just make it slow... I’ll do it the hard way but it’ll be faster." she said as she closed her eyes again and this time, the ink from the bottle floated upwards.
The ink began to form tiny letters and went onto the pages. The process was slow at first, but as Aria got used to it, she went faster and faster to the point where she began to fill up entire pages in just two to three seconds.
Soon, the book was filled completely and the left over ink went back into the bottle before Aria put it back on the table in her room.
Out of the two mana crystals she was holding, one was missing and the other had dimmed.
She put the dim crystal back into the pouch and hid it where it originally was. Once done, she walked out of the room.
Adrian woke up late the next day, only to see a bunch of people in white robes sitting in the living room while Damian kept them entertained.
"The church?" he asked as he rubbed his eyes and ruffled his own hair while he yawned, not caring about appearances at all.
"Goddess of Prosperity’s Church." one of the men said as he set his cup of tea on the table and smiled at Adrian, "Please take a seat, Baron Adrian. If you’re free, we would like to discuss a deal with you."
Adrian looked at the group and thought for a moment before smirking, "You guys want to build a church here?"
The man that looked like the leader of the group sat stunned at his guess and nodded.
"Yes, that is the plan. If you allow it, we will start preparations right away." he said as he glanced at the priest sitting near him.
It was the same guy who had come to Oresfall for the prayer before.
He moved the wooden box that was on his lap, to the table in front before opening the lid.
Inside were neatly stacked rows of gold coins.
"Here’s a gift for you from the church."
Adrian looked at the gift, almost wanting to pounce on all the money but he held himself back and kept a poker face as he made eye contact with the Bishop.
"You can run a campaign here and go back to the county." Adrian said with an amicable smile.
The corner of the bishop’s lips twitched as he tried his best to keep a positive appearance.
"Oh Baron Adrian Sterling, don’t be so quick to make a decision. This isn’t all that the church has to offer. We just couldn’t bring much with us due to the fear of getting robbed by bandits. Once you give your word to let us build a church here, we’ll come with a bigger group and with a stronger security. We plan to offer you another thousand gold coins for your hospitality."
"I’m really interested in some knight techniques." Adrian said as he sat down in front of the Bishop.
