Red Moon Chamber

Head Harold and Elder Hugo left the room so as not to disturb them. Once they were gone from the place, there was no one here except Jeremy Night and Melinda.

Jeremy opened his eyes. His eyes flashed with complexity. To be honest, he was awake all this time. He had heard the conversations of the elders.

He was right. It was Head Harold who sent Tier-7 Elders to protect them in secret. He had underestimated the threat.

He didn’t expect the Head of the Hill Family to be this mad. He had used both the Darkshade organization and his own forces to try to attempt to kill him.

Now he thought it won’t be easy to step outside the city gate. If he enters the wilderness, then he may come across more dangerous assassins.

He shook his head before pushing down the thoughts. He can’t do much with his current level. But he believes Head Harold must have a plan to solve the problem.

After gaining some clarity, he feels light-headed. He then closed his eyes to sleep.

Shortly afterwards,

The doctor and his assistants came again. They checked the conditions of both the patients.

Melinda gained consciousness and opened her eyes. Her condition was better than before. She can move around.

She then saw Jeremy Night, who was admitted next to her. She was surprised. She asked about Jeremy Night’s condition from the doctor.

She came to know that Jeremy Night was doing fine. Elder Hugo had given him advanced liquid before bringing him to the city.

So Jeremy Night’s life was saved. She then discussed it with the doctor. She was ready to leave. Her condition was good.

She was discharged and left the room. The doctor found out Jeremy was doing better. He found out that the young man was awake.

"You can leave as well," the doctor said.

Hearing that, Jeremy opened his eyes. He smiled, looking at the doctor. He couldn’t hide anymore. He got out of bed.

He thanked the doctor and his assistant. Then he left the medic room before going towards his own room.

When he reached his room, he opened the door and walked inside. He went to the bed and laid on it.

Meanwhile,

Head Harold and Elder Hugo met with the other two elders. They had come from the wilderness. Unfortunately, they failed to kill Walter.

He had a trump card up his sleeve. It could hurt the lifeline beasts of the two elders. So they didn’t take the risk.

The Beast Taming Hill Family

Robert Hill was waiting for the news. But it’s been several hours. He didn’t get any news. He knows the Darkshade Organization had sent their team.

He too sent the team under Gibbs. But they have not returned so far. He tried to phone call him, but the call wasn’t connected.

Robert Hill was getting angrier. This time he was confident. He was sure that the target would be eliminated. But he has this feeling that the team has failed this time.

The more he thinks about it, the angrier he feels.

His hatred towards Jeremy Night increased. He couldn’t believe the young man got such luck. He had been escaping from the attacks every time.

Darkshade Organisation

Tier-7 Beast Tamer Walter returned to the organization. He failed in the mission. Walter was the only one to survive.

His team members were all killed by the Elders from the Red Moon Chamber. When he returned to the hideout, the higher-ups were all shocked.

They had thought some higher-tier beasts had made an attack. But then they heard the explanation from Walter.

Not only had they failed to kill the target, but their existence was exposed. Now the Red Moon Chamber organization knows about their existence and strength.

It was a great humiliation for them.

Walter didn’t know how to show his face outside. He didn’t expect the Red Moon Chamber to send a team of Elders.

It shows that they have failed in the intelligence gathering. Not only had the organization failed, but the Beast Taming Hill Family failed in gathering proper intel.

Now, because of them, their existence is exposed.

Since the Red Moon Chamber knew about their existence, it’s possible that they would leak the matter to the City Governors.

A decade ago, they were driven out of the city. Their members were all purged. The higher-ups are afraid it could repeat this time as well.

They have taken a huge risk for the Beast Taming Hill Family. They have suffered a huge loss. Especially the members who lost their lives while attempting to complete the mission.

Their founder is not here. If he knows, the higher-ups will be punished for their failures. More importantly, they would face consequences for their losses.

The higher-ups have decided to drop the mission. They are not going to contact the Beast Taming Hill Family and accept tasks from them.

Instead, the higher-ups decided to ask for compensation from Robert Hill.

It’s because of him they were forced to do the mission. Now their existence is disclosed.

Time passed,

That night, Robert Hill lost his patience. He had contacted the higher-ups of the Darkshade Organization to get updates.

But he received threats instead. The Darkshade team suffered huge losses. Robert Hill then heard everything from them.

He didn’t expect the Red Moon Chamber to send people. Knowing that they had sent three Tier-7 Elders, he was stunned.

He understood that they had failed. Since the team of Darkshade members had lost, he realized that Gibbs and the team members were likely dead.

Robert didn’t know what to say. He was afraid that the Governors would notice it. Then he got threats from the Darkshade Organization. They wanted compensation.

Otherwise, his involvement would be exposed. Robert Hill promised them to offer resources. If not, the Darkshade Organization might attack the Hill Family instead.

After talking to them, Robert Hill thought of something important. He left his home right away.

He entered the wilderness to check. He is going towards the Deadly Ridge. From the conversation earlier, he learned about the location.

But when he got there, he started looking for the corpses. He did find the corpses with Hill Family uniforms.
