Deadly Ridge

Melinda fought hard and killed the Tier-5 Beast Tamers targeting her. But she suffered injuries herself. Right now, she is leaning against a giant tree.

Her eyes filled with fear. She saw the massive Black Panther fighting the Bat beast earlier. The simple movement of the beast would cause a shock force.

She was lucky enough to escape from the fighting range. If she had been there, she would have been swept away by the shock force.

Not only that, she was worried about Jeremy Night. She had thought it was only Tier-5 Beast Tamers. But it appears there are higher-tier beast tamers as well.

She had seen the beast but not the beast tamers. She doesn’t know what’s going on, why they are targeting fellow Beast Tamers. She was clueless.

On the other hand, the two Tier-7 Elders dealt with the Tier-6 beast tamers and returned to the Deadly Ridge. Their timing coincided with the killing of the Tier-6 Beast Tamer, Gibbs.

Walter is confronting Elder Hugo. He noticed Gibbs reaching the young man earlier. But he noticed the person falling flat on the ground.

"What’s going on?" he uttered.

Elder Hugo knew something happened to the Tier-6 Beast Tamer. But the young man was safe.

Swoosh!

The two Tier-7 Elders came to the spot. Seeing them, the expression of the old man Walter changed drastically.

Elder Hugo felt relieved.

"You can’t escape this time," Hugo said.

Walter turned around and fled. Seeing that, the two Tier-7 Elders gave chase.

Hugo stayed behind. He found out that the target of these groups was the young man. He didn’t know what the young man had done to make them send higher-tier beast tamers.

It’s a bit overkill. If not for them being here, the young man would probably have met with death.

Suddenly, he realized their mission. Head Harold had sent three of them to Deadly Ridge to watch over the place. His eyes flashed with understanding.

"So he knows," Hugo muttered.

He thinks that Head Harold might have known about the attack. So he sent exactly three members to disrupt the enemy’s plan.

Not only had they killed them, he found out the truth about the Darkshade Organisation. The organisation which was supposed to be rooted out.

It has come back stronger. If not for today, he wouldn’t have known that the organisation had grown this strong.

He thinks that the real strength of the organisation might be even more powerful. To kill a Tier-3 Beast Tamer, they had dispatched such a strong team.

Sigh!

He let out a sigh. He then thought of the young man and the Tier-6 Beast Tamer.

Swoosh!

Elder Hugo disappeared from the spot. He then appeared at the place. He saw the Tier-6 Beast Tamer was dead, his body lying beside the young man.

While the young man was alive, he seemed to be unconscious. He frowned. He knew the young man did something at the last moment.

Whatever it was, the move killed the Tier-6 Beast Tamer. He examined the body of Gibbs. He saw one of the eyes was gone. The brain seems to have been damaged as well.

Hugo was taken aback. He didn’t expect this person’s death to be so gruesome. He then thought that the place was not safe.

He put away the corpse inside the storage ring. Then he picked up the unconscious young man.

Swoosh!

He moved away from the place. He then remembered Melinda. He used his mental power to search the area.

Then he saw the young woman resting under the tree not far away from the Deadly Ridge. He then went to her and picked her up as well.

While returning, he took the black panther back into his mental zone. He didn’t stop anywhere. He reached the city’s main gate quickly.

He then flew over the huge city wall and went toward the Red Moon Organisation. A few people with discerning eyes spotted him.

But they didn’t think much of it.

A few minutes later,

He landed in front of the organisation. He took the two people inside. The lobby was filled with busy people. There was chattering noise.

But his appearance made them quiet. There was pin-drop silence. He turned towards the staff office and told them about their condition before bringing them to the medic room.

Both Jeremy Night and Melinda were injured. When he left the place, the members started their discussion.

They thought the two people could have been attacked by the corrupted beasts. Their strength is low as well. It’s one of the disadvantages of not going out with full team members.

Some of them started blaming Jeremy Night because of his Tier-3 strength. The staff in the office room were paying attention to all of this chat.

Head Harold in his office was notified quickly. He went to the medic room directly.

Jeremy Night and Melinda were admitted to the same room. They were given advanced healing liquid. It was in a similar grade to the one given by Elder Hugo earlier.

Harold came to the medic room. An old doctor and his assistant were there. Elder Hugo was standing next to Head Harold.

They waited for the doctor to do his job. After addressing the injuries, the doctor left the room with his assistant.

Once they were gone, Hugo turned towards Head Harold.

"Head, did you know?" he asked.

Harold’s face was serious. This time he had underestimated the risk. He didn’t expect the people to get injured.

"Tell me what happened," Harold asked.

Hearing that, Hugo didn’t hide anything and started telling him from the beginning. Harold listened calmly to everything.

He was surprised to know that there were two teams. A team led by Tier-7 Beast Tamer Walter with Tier-6 members—they were from the Darkshade Organisation.

Then there was a team from the Beast Taming Hill Family. They sent a team led by a Tier-6 Beast Tamer, Gibbs, with Tier-5 members.

"Hill Family," Harold uttered in a cold tone.

He is now sure that Head Robert has gone crazy. He lost his mind. Colluding with the Darkshade Organisation is a crime. This time they have openly acted together.

Fortunately, he had sent three Tier-7 Beast Tamers to help them. Harold decided to have a word with the Governors. It’s time for them to intervene.
