STRIKER: Independent Beast Tamer
Chapter 824: Terrible injury
Deadly Ridge
The Tier-6 Cave Bat beast continued to use the sound attack. It didn't know whether the target was dead or not.
It saw that the target was crouching on the ground.
Gibbs learned the situation from the lifeline beast. Knowing that the target was still breathing, he ordered the beast to continue with the attack.
Boom!
After receiving the command, the cave bat beast continued with the attack.
Buzz!
Jeremy felt the pressure again. But the white mist layer in his body was withstanding the pressure.
He collected his thoughts and decided to take action. He started moving his body. He was slowly crawling down to the bottom.
He held the handgun in his right hand and hid it. He didn't want the Tier-6 Beast Tamer to see the gun.
He had only one chance. If he was able to hurt the Tier-6 Beast Tamer, then he would escape from the lifeline beast.
Meanwhile,
Melinda chased the other Tier-5 Beast Tamers and got away from the range of the sound attack.
But in the process, they ignored the threat of the plants growing in the region.
Their bodies brushed past many plants—both dangerous and non-dangerous plants. Melinda was worried about Jeremy Night.
It was her job to protect him. But if they were together, there would be more disadvantages. She believed Jeremy Night would do something to protect himself.
As time passed, Jeremy got closer to the bottom. But the problem was the white mists. He didn't know how long the white mists would last.
The sound attack was not stopping at all. Before the Tier-6 Beast could do something, he increased his speed.
His crawling speed increased. He didn't care about the plants and didn't mind them. So, he moved past the black plants.
His arms rubbed against unknown plants. He had a feeling that something was wrong with the plants here.
His instincts told him that the plants could be dangerous.
Gibbs was standing at the bottom. He was observing the place. He saw that the target, Jeremy Night, was moving towards him.
Gibbs was shocked. His face was full of disbelief. Normally, the sound attack from the Tier-6 beast should have killed him.
Any other person would have died, even if the Beast Tamer was a Tier-5 Beast Tamer. Yet, he was shocked right now.
"How is this young man moving?" he thought.
His mind then thought of treasures. There are treasures which could block the attack. For example, battle armor.
But the young man was not wearing any armor at all. It's common for Beast Tamers to use armor, but because of the weight, Beast Tamers rarely use it during their missions.
As long as they are confident in their strength, they can afford not to use it.
Gibbs felt something was wrong. He couldn't pinpoint what it was. He then ordered the cave bat beast to directly attack the target.
Buzz!
The cave bat beast stopped using the sound attack. The huge body, which was circling in mid-air, stilled.
Swoosh!
Then it dived down. The massive bat beast located the target. The target was crawling on the ground.
Seeing that, it moved towards the target. The coercion from the beast's body was released at the same time.
Boom!
The coercion hit the ground. It immediately destroyed the ground. The shockwave spread across the place.
All dangerous and non-dangerous plants were uprooted by the shock force. The famous deadly ridge was being destroyed by the coercion.
Puchak!
In the blink of an eye, the coercion struck the body of Jeremy Night. It was so sudden that he was caught off guard.
His body was thrown off. His body flew backwards in the air before crashing into the ground.
Blood spilled from his mouth. Fortunately, the white mists were still covering his important organs.
If not for the white mists, his internal organs would have been squashed. His body then stopped in front of a big tree.
At the same time, the coercion from the Cave Bat Beast was felt by the elders a mile away from the place.
Though they were fighting a mile away, their lifeline beasts had the ability to sense threats around them for miles.
Knowing that a Tier-6 Beast's coercion was coming from the deadly ridge's direction, they were shocked.
Elder Hugo recalled seeing the two members doing a mission at the deadly ridge. He wondered what had happened to them.
Till now, he didn't figure out what was going on.
"Ha... Ha... Ha..." Walter let out a wild laugh.
"So, we were just bait. They have sent another team," he muttered slowly.
But it was heard by Elder Hugo. His eyes flashed with understanding. He still didn't know why they were at the deadly ridge.
He tried to recall. Then he saw the picture clearly. There were only two members in that place. They were trying to locate them earlier.
They intervened and confronted these people. Now a second team had come. Then their target must be the two members.
He then turned towards Walter.
Walter cracked a wide grin and said, "Too late!"
Swoosh!
Elder Hugo left the place. Walter didn't chase him because he, too, felt the coercion of the Tier-6 Corrupted Beast.
He thought that the target, the young man might have died from the coercion. He doubted there would be other Tier-6 and above Beast Tamers.
If there was any backup left from the Red Moon Chamber, he would have felt it earlier.
That's why he let him go.
Puchak!
Jeremy coughed up blood. The blood dyed his clothes a blood-red color. He looked miserable. Despite the inner protection of the white mists, the outer body took the damage.
His bones were hurt. His flesh and skin were torn apart.
His senses alarmed him again. The death crisis was nearing him. He slowly adjusted his body and lay on the ground, head facing the sky.
He saw the massive bat beast coming down to get him. The deadly claws were aimed at him. He didn't lose his grip on the handgun.
On the other hand, Gibbs saw the scene. He saw the bloodied body of the target. He thought the young man would die from his serious injuries.
But he still wanted to see the death of the young man in front of his eyes.
