Shattering Humanity

{Roronora City 2:30 P.M.}

Within a fast food restaurant, closed for the Don and her guests.

On one side of the booth, Princess Kawaii and Princess Rebekah are sitting together, sharing their food. The older, Princess of Roronora is showing the younger Princess what a chicken nugget is.

Princess Rebekah: "You’ve never had a chicken nugget!?"

Princess Kawaii shakes her head and Princess Rebekah hands it to her.

Princess Rebekah: "Here! Try it! They’re really good with ketchup too!"

Princess Kawaii: "What’s ketchup?"

Princess Rebekah: "Nevermind that right now, just try it plain first."

The pink haired, pink eyed princess takes a bite and her eyes turn into little hearts as she finishes the rest of the single nugget.

Princess Kawaii: "Can I have mooore?!"

Princess Rebekah nods with a smile and pushes the entire carton of nuggets to her. Princess Kawaii doesn’t hesitate to dig in.

On the same side of the booth, an annoyed Saku is in between Itsuka and Laban who are eyeing each other while pressing up against him.

Saku: "Can I eat please?!"

They back off, he takes his burger, tears a piece off and gives it to Friend under the table. The dog eats it in one gulp and lays at the feet of his owner.

On the other side of the booth across from the Princesses are Katsu and Shelly eating their food. Shelly is keeping her eyes on Laban even when she takes a bite.

Dom is eating an outrageous amount of burgers. He finishes one and begins to unwrap another.

Dom: "Damn! Tay would’ve loved to be here!"

He bites into another one, next to Jorm and Drakaina who are staring across the table at the reason they were once oppressed, who is sitting next to the person that changed their life for the better.

Laban notices and looks back over at them. She sees Jormungand’s IceEye and chuckles.

Laban(chuckles): "Hehe, that eye don’t look too bad on ya, kid."

They don’t respond to her but shoot glares. Don Laban gives a half assed apology.

Laban(sighs): "I’m sorry for being the reason you two were slaves. Fortunately, Saki has made me change my ways. Oh yea!"

She looks down her side of the table at Princess Rebekah having fun with Princess Kawaii.

Laban: "Rebekah hun, can you give Saki his present? Also, do a safety check, just in case my older sister decides to take advantage of us all being together."

Saku, Shelly, and Itsuka are confused as they turn to see the Princess of Roronora pop off her left Eyelien and a pink, loving aura comes from it.

The Princess of Sanpaku, accepted by Seiõr and heard Zoram’s story, watches in amazement.

Once again, a *CLICK* like a lock opening is heard in Saku’s head and his Anjell Eye pops off, a Yin aura.

Princess Rebekah puts a thumb up.

Princess Rebekah: "We’re aaalll good Mommy!"

She relaxes her Eyelien but Saku keeps his Anjell Eye activated, focusing on what he’s seeing.

Laban: "Well Saki? Are you happy? Wasn’t that your original reason for coming here in the first place over a month ago? Now you can make sure everyone is saf-"

Saku: "Laban, who is MamMon DæMon and what are the Erinyes Angels? Is that the ’older sister’ you were just talking about?"

Everyone at the table stops eating and looks at the young Yin Vessel.

Drakaina especially seems interested.

Drakaina (thinking): *Erinyes Angels?*

Laban gets an impressed look. Saku’s eye aura flickers as he switches from foresight to Nye-Omnipotence.

Laban: "How far-"

Saku: "As soon as .5 seconds to about 12 hours ahead, now tell us all who is MamMon DæMon and did you know about her taking over the Sister Mountains?"

Shelly shoots up.

Shelly: "Took over the Sister Mountains?!"

Saku: "Not only that, they’ve cleared out Hanabi City of all the Icemen, are rebuilding, and it is now under the rule of that guy who hates D, Nephilim.

It’s now called Erebus City."

Itsuka: "What!? In only a month?!"

Shelly sits back down and her fists tighten while resting in her thighs.

Shelly(thinking): *Another DaeMon? Is she stronger than Laban? If she took over the Sister Mountains, that means there’s a reason the HFF soldiers still haven’t given up hunting us down. Because of me...*

Katsu goes back to eating silently while everyone waits for Laban to answer.

However, it’s Drakaina who answers and everyone but Katsu turns their attention to her.

Drakaina: "In many ancient religions and mythologies, Erebus, meaning darkness or night, was the homeland for the Angels of Revenge and Justice. Otherwise known as the Erinyes Angels. They only answered the prayers of the most hate driven individuals who were the victim of irrational violence. Anyone with an existence focused solely on delivering justice and revenge on the people who wronged them."

Katsu quietly takes another bite of his burger while she talks.

Drakaina: "By helping humans get revenge, the feeling of satisfaction and happiness that the humans thought they would feel, were consumed by the Erinyes Angels instead. Explaining the psychological phenomenon that happens with those who get their revenge, but still don’t feel happy afterwards. The Erinyes were the first ’energy vampires’ and their divine interference was a self sustainable cycle.

Once ’justice’ was served, the Erinyes ignored those no longer fueled by revenge. Instead, they continued the cycle of hate, by helping the innocent, who were negatively affected by the ’justice’ of another. The Erinyes Angels continuously aided the next human willing to do anything, especially the victims willing to give up their humanity, for revenge. Usually their divine intervention ended up killing the exact same individual they had previously helped."

Katsu finishes his burger and burps.

Saku’s eyes narrow, looking at his rival.

Katsu: "...’Everyone has a reason for revenge, a reason to hate someone, or a reason to blame others for their shortcomings. It’s easy to hate, especially if you’re weak. In the end, those Erinyes Angels just prey on the weak’, that’s what my Dad probably would say."

Katsu looks down the booth to Jormungand and smiles.

Katsu: "If you aren’t practicing for the love of the game, what are you even doing? If you aren’t living for others, why are you even living?"

Jormungand is caught off guard by both his sister’s knowledge of random mythology and Katsu’s sports related metaphor. The Izanagi Division Captain looks at Shelly, and smiles.

Katsu: "And from the modern stories we’ve watched, I’m more of an ’Eren, no’ person, haha."

Shelly giggles at his corny nerd joke.While nobody else laughs.

Drakaina gets embarrassed.

Dom(with mouth full): "Ha! Oh, I get it!"

He swallows his food and looks at Drakaina.

Dom: "That was mad random though, how did you know all that?"

The older sister looks at Jorm and blushes. She takes a deep breath and talks while looking at her lap. 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖

Drakaina: "Our mother was very knowledgeable in the handed down stories of theology. She studied how religion evolved in parallel to humanity through the ethics and morals of their stories. She would tell me and unborn baby Jorm different tales, from different religions, throughout all of time."

She looks at Jorm.

Drakaina: "He obviously doesn’t remember, but she would rub her pregnant stomach when she was pregnant with Jorm while I sat and listened to the story that had survived all that time."
