Chapter 643: Chapter 643: Lend Some of Our Chefs

"I hereby introduce Lady Blanca to you as one of my maids from today onwards..."

Blanca walked forward and bowed to Arabella and Ferdinand before she curtsied politely to everyone.

"Nice to meet you, everyone. I will be in your care from now on. Let’s do our best together," Blanca smiled brightly.

[Wow! She’s so polite and pretty. No wonder she’s His Eminence’s fiancee.]

[Thank goodness! She looks friendly.]

[I hope it’s not hard to talk to her.]

[She has a mysterious air about her just like His Eminence.]

Everyone was mesmerized as they gazed at Blanca. Because of the standing of her fiance, they formerly thought she might be arrogant and would have a rude attitude towards them. Thus, they were relieved that she looked friendly instead of haughty.

They did not have many qualms about her becoming the replacement for Renee either since Blanca was Alwin’s fiancee.

"Blanca, these are my maids: Aletha, Eunice, Carla, and Irene. You will be working closely with them from now on."

Arabella introduced them to each other because the four hesitated to approach Blanca for fear that the latter might snob them.

"It’s a pleasure to meet you. I have done my best to study and train for this. I hope you guide me when I do something wrong," Blanca smiled at the four.

From then on the conversation went well among them. They did a bit of chitchat and conversed with the others so Blanca would get familiar with everyone’s faces.

After the introductions, everyone dispersed to return to their work. Only Arabella’s maids were left since Arabella still had instructions for them.

"Blanca, you may choose a room and begin transferring your things," Arabella said and the Head Maid went to guide Blanca to the chambers section.

Alwin followed them since he had to play his part as Blanca’s "fiance" and help bring her things over. They would actually just teleport everything with magic.

Meanwhile, Arabella remained with her maids.

Ferdinand did not leave either since they would attend the court sessions together after this.

"Blanca might return soon so wait for her before you go shopping," Arabella said since her maids’ task now was to buy gifts that she would bring with her to Lobelius.

"Uhm, Your Majesty, the thing is..." Aletha looked at Arabella like she had something to report.

"Yes, what is it?"

"You received a lot of gifts from the various ruling households. It was a mixture of fresh produce, fabric, ornaments, jewelry, and other local goods from their territories. Looking at the amount they sent you, I believe we could get there instead of buying downtown," Aletha said.

Most of the gifts Arabella receives are either stored or given away.

Arabella still had tons to distribute from all the gifts she received in Medeus.

Moreover, she already received a lot of get-well gifts from the ruling houses and other nobles in Valeria when they heard she got poisoned because she was the reason the situation in Prudencia was revealed, and even advocated the abolishment of slavery when she was in Medeus.

They sent a lot to her as a courtesy and well wishes.

"Oh, they sent gifts? I’d like to see?" Arabella was curious.

They then headed to a storage area reserved for everything Arabella receives.

"Are all of these for me?"

Arabella blinked repeatedly when she saw that there were so many boxes.

Some were getting inspected by magicians from the magic tower with Riley leading them. Some were getting carried inside. And there were several carts more arriving when she looked outside.

"Yes, Your Majesty," Aletha and the others replied in unison.

[They seem to like Her Majesty more now. She’s receiving so much more gifts from the nobles. This is a good sign. I hope they had taken a liking to Her Majesty. She’s working so hard for them even when she just got married several months ago.]

Aletha was happy and relieved that Arabella was receiving this many gifts since it meant the people were accepting her here.

"Oh my, it seems you do not need to go downtown indeed. Just choose from here. And make sure to choose a lot of fresh produce. I want them to get a taste of the foods here in Valeria," Arabella instructed.

[This could help improve a more friendly relationship between Lobelius and Valeria. I want them to understand Valeria a bit more since most of what they have heard was all about Ferdinand’s negative reputation.]

Getting a taste of the fresh produce here and the cuisines Valeria offers, could help them understand Valeria more and make them seem more human than most believe they were.

But then, Arabella recalled a major hindrance.

"Right... They would not know how to prepare it," Arabella pouted.

Even if they brought a lot of ingredients, it would only go to waste since no one knew how to prepare Valerian cuisine in the palace.

[She’s so cute even when she’s gloomy. But she looks even better when she’s smiling.]

’Why does he have time to think about that?’ Arabella glanced at her husband. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚

Ferdinand smiled at her and said, "What if we lend them some of our chefs? We have a lot anyway."

"Oh, that’s right! What a bright idea," Arabella kissed Ferdinand on the cheek before she knew it.

[Kyaah!]

[Oh my!]

’Ooops!’

Arabella froze and looked around when she recalled there were a lot of people here. They all pretended like they were busy and did not see anything. But she could see them blushing.

And her husband was smiling brightly. He was even brighter than he looked earlier now that Arabella kissed him in front of everyone.

"Here too," he tapped his other cheek with a smirk on his face. He dared to be playful right here.

"One is enough," Arabella said in a low embarrassed voice.

[I want to tease her more but I don’t want her to get angry.]

"Later, then," Ferdinand let up.

"Then, as you said, we can lend some of our chefs, right?" Arabella redirected their topic to the chefs to hide her embarrassment.
