Chapter 1474: Chapter 1471: Conclusion, Invitation

Ling Shuiyao entered the room without speaking, first casting a somewhat pretentious glance around the private room before fixing her gaze on Lin Tian: "Senior, I apologize if our hospitality was lacking."

Her words were polite, but the expression in her eyes was mischievous, clearly not one to sit still.

Lin Tian, of course, knew this little girl would even dare to enter the men’s restroom, so he said calmly, "Miss Shuiyao, if you have something to say, just say it."

"Senior, you’re very straightforward, so I’ll be blunt too. I’m here to collect the money and I hope you’ll cooperate." Ling Shuiyao’s eyes glinted with a hint of a smile, seeming ready to act if Lin Tian claimed to have no money, to get back at him for tricking her into the men’s restroom.

This little trick was obvious to Lin Tian, so he said nothing, reaching into his pocket and pulling out a card, handing it to Ling Shuiyao.

Ling Shuiyao frowned slightly, taking the card for a careful look, and once she saw it clearly, her eyes widened in surprise as she exclaimed, "A black card..."

"A black card issued by Europe’s Bale Bank. According to the current exchange rate, twenty-eight billion RMB is approximately more than three hundred million euros. With that amount, the black card should be able to handle it." Lin Tian raspingly stated.

Ling Shuiyao naturally understood the significance of a black card, especially a high-level black card from such an international bank. Withdrawing a few hundred million euros should pose no difficulty. But she originally came here looking for trouble, and now that she couldn’t find any, she felt quite reluctant.

Despite her reluctance, she couldn’t arbitrarily "take revenge," so she said, "Would you come with us to settle the account, or will you give me the password?"

"No need for all that trouble, I’ll just give you the password." Lin Tian asked her for paper and a pen, then wrote down a few numbers, handing over the password just like that.

Not expecting Lin Tian to be so decisive and straightforward, Ling Shuiyao paused for a moment, glanced at Lin Tian, but only saw a mask. She took the black card and left with the guards.

Downstairs, Ling Xiao announced the conclusion of the auction, and the Ancient Martial Artists along with members of the great families gradually departed. However, before leaving the venue, each person glanced back at Lin Tian’s private room. The events at today’s auction would give them plenty to ponder over for a long time.

While Lin Tian waited in the private room, Ling Shuiyao did not return; instead, a phone call came in. The phone’s ringtone echoed in the quiet room, and when Lin Tian checked, the caller ID showed it was a call from England.

"Xing Shan, you can head back now. Remember what I said and go find someone named Ghost; he’s currently residing in the West Courtyard." Lin Tian gestured, indicating.

"Thank you, Senior, for broadening my horizons today." Xing Shan cupped his hands, speaking earnestly, and after saluting, he turned and left the room.

After Xing Shan left, Lin Tian answered the call. As soon as he connected, a woman’s voice emanated from the phone, making Lin Tian’s hand tremble and almost causing him to drop the phone. His reaction wasn’t because the woman sounded frightening, but rather her way of speaking gave him the chills.

"Master, you finally used that black card. I thought you had forgotten everything about us after returning to your country."

"Ahem..." Lin Tian feigned a cough and then earnestly said, "Charlotte, I’m in Huaxia now; using ’Master’ isn’t really popular here. Next time, try a different title."

Indeed, this international call was from the vampire Princess Charlotte, a woman who was sometimes noble, sometimes mysterious, sometimes imposing, and sometimes enchanting.

"Then what should I call you if not ’Master’? I’m much older than you, so should I call you Little Brother Lin?" Charlotte said, feigning difficulty, but even over the phone, Lin Tian could sense her smug smile.

"You win, call me whatever you like." Lin Tian gave up on correcting the title; this princess was always arrogant and never truly submissive; she indeed could call him anything.

"By the way, how did you know I used the black card? Don’t tell me you’re monitoring me again?" Lin Tian asked, puzzled.

"Without your permission, how would I dare to monitor you?" Charlotte’s tone was full of faux innocence, but Lin Tian almost wanted to say there was nothing she wouldn’t dare do. Seeing he was silent, Charlotte felt compelled to tell the truth: "The black card was issued specially for you, master. There’s only one of its kind in the world, and any transaction on it is immediately reported to me."

So that’s it, Lin Tian understood. As the shadowy controller behind Bale Bank, it was naturally effortless for Charlotte to arrange for such a black card.

"Alright, I get it. The money spent on the black card, I’ll pay it back in the future." Lin Tian said absentmindedly.

"No need to repay, master; even my person belongs to you. What’s a few hundred million euros? If you fancy it, I can transfer Bale Bank to you instantly." Charlotte chuckled lightly.

"Forget the bank, but I might consider your offer." Lin Tian joked.

"Kid, stop flirting with the lady and quickly have the princess find a way to get the Sword of the King." The Sword Spirit suddenly yelled in Lin Tian’s mind.

"Don’t worry, since we already have the Heart of the Meteorite, we can’t forget the Sword of the King." Lin Tian replied in his mind and then instructed Charlotte, "Charlotte, I need to tell you something crucial, and it carries some danger for you."

"Danger for me?" Charlotte was momentarily surprised, then expressed interest, "Whatever it is, just give the order, master."

"Send people to Holy Spirit Town, retrieve the Sword of the King from the lake, and mail it to me." Lin Tian glanced outside the door, speaking concisely.

"How do you know the Sword of the King is in Holy Spirit Town? I’ve searched for it before but never found it there," Charlotte exclaimed, genuinely surprised this time.

Lin Tian looked outside again and said, "It’s a long story; I’ll explain another time when there’s a chance. But remember, the Sword of the King is broken; both pieces must be found."

"Broken?" Charlotte was surprised again, but quickly reassured, "Don’t worry, master. Once I have it, I’ll bring it personally to Huaxia for you."

"No, no need for you to come; just mail it." Lin Tian quickly replied.

"Alright then, as you command, Master." Charlotte agreed compliantly.

But Lin Tian felt an uneasy premonition because this princess had never been one to simply obey.

While his mind was wandering, footsteps approached again, as Ling Shuiyao returned, holding the black card.

"Senior, I thought I heard someone else in the room?" Ling Shuiyao glanced around, questioning curiously.

Lin Tian pretended not to hear her inquiry, gesturing for the return of the black card. Seeing he ignored her, Ling Shuiyao pouted in dissatisfaction but, not finding anyone else, could only hand the card back to Lin Tian.

"Our Pavilion Master wishes to meet with you. I kindly ask you to accompany me." After returning the card, Ling Shuiyao said solemnly.
