Chapter 319: Chapter 319: Vincent Vance Was in a Car Accident

After the driver got out of the car and just walked to the car door, before he had a chance to speak, the door of the driver’s seat suddenly opened, followed by a familiar figure appearing before May Morgan.

Is it him, Jacob Jennings?

May looked at Jacob in surprise as he pushed the driver away and strode to the front of their car. Victor Grant also recognized Jacob, his initial anger igniting even more.

"Jacob Jennings, why the hell are you in France?" Victor opened the window and harshly questioned him.

Jacob glanced at May inside the car and then politely said to her, "Madam, I’m here under the orders of the Young Master, to bring you back to see him."

May clenched her fingers, unwillingly saying, "Did he send you? What is he doing himself? Can’t he come by himself?"

Is he too lazy to come? Doesn’t want to come? Or does he think she’s not worth him coming in person?

Jacob looked at May’s eyes with a heavy heart: "The Young Master had a car accident on his way to the Grant Family airport, his car was bombed, and he’s now severely injured, still unconscious in the hospital!"

Wh-what?

Upon hearing this news, May felt dizzy, everything before her went dark.

He had a car accident? Still unconscious in the hospital? How did this happen? Who did it?

No wonder she didn’t see him, no wonder he didn’t come to stop her. Was he attacked?

Victor furrowed his brows, unable to resist shouting at Jacob, "Jacob Jennings, what do you mean? Vincent Vance got bombed, what does it have to do with us? Besides, he treated May like that before, now it’s just his retribution. It’s his luck he’s not dead."

Jacob looked at Victor with a heavy expression, then turned his gaze to May, but she hung her head low, lost in thought. He couldn’t help but say, "Madam, the Young Master never did anything to wrong you. Back then, he forced you to abort the child and pushed you to Victor to protect you. You might not know, Brianna White is your sister. She used the Poisonous Insect Technique to change her face, becoming Brianna. The Young Master feared these people would threaten your safety, plus you were infected by the Dragon Insect. If the child was born, you’d be in danger. For your safety, the Young Master forced you to leave."

"Stop it, Jacob, stop..." May suddenly burst into tears, wiping them as she glanced at Victor.

"I’m sorry, it’s too late. I’ve agreed to marry Victor, I can’t go back on my word." The kindness Victor showed her made it hard for her to refuse, yet the guilt towards Vincent made her cry instinctively.

She’s in a dilemma now, unsure of what to do.

Vincent loves her, more than anyone, but Victor does too, doesn’t he? Rejecting either of the men who both love her so much feels like a crime.

Victor quietly exhaled, quickly taking advantage of May’s guilt for him, turned to instruct the driver: "Drive quickly, or the government will be off work soon."

Hearing this, the driver quickly started the car, planning to speed away. But Jacob, having traveled a great distance, wouldn’t give up easily.

He grabbed Victor’s car door, shouting to May, "Madam, do you know? The Young Master, before falling unconscious, was urging me to come to France to bring you back. He said, even if he dies, he wants to see you one last time."

"Aren’t you done yet? What’s with the nonsense?" Victor, exasperated by Jacob, feared his persistence would sway May’s resolve, angrily retorted.

Jacob ignored him, continuing to speak to May: "Madam, the Young Master has seven shrapnel pieces in him, the doctors can’t guarantee he’ll wake up. Even if it’s his last hope, I hope you can go back to see him; maybe your presence will give him the will to survive."

"That’s enough!" Victor couldn’t wait for Jacob to finish, immediately opening the car door and stepping out.

Jacob was taken aback for a moment, then assumed a fighting stance against Victor: "Victor Grant, I’m here under the Young Master’s orders to take the Madam back, you can’t stop me!"

"Whether I can or can’t, that depends on strength!" Though Victor wasn’t as strong as Jacob, he grew up in fights, his body was leanly built. He twisted his stiff neck, licking his lips with a cold smirk: "It’s been a while since I punched someone. Today I’ll let you taste how hard my fists are."

Jacob didn’t take Victor seriously, coldly responding: "Then let’s have a go; I want to see how hard Mr. Grant’s fists are!"

With that, he threw a punch, which Victor deftly dodged, kicking out in return.

Seeing the two about to fight, May hurriedly opened the car door and got out, angrily shouting at them: "What are you doing? Are you crazy?"

Fighting in a foreign country? Can’t you talk things out properly?

Once the two began exchanging blows, they no longer paid attention to May’s shouting. However, Jacob, being a former special forces soldier, was nimble and much stronger than Victor, who soon showed signs of losing.

Nonetheless, Victor’s ability to lead gangsters wasn’t just about fists; he wasn’t foolish enough to take on hard trouble directly and would use cunning tactics when necessary.

Soon, the bodyguards Victor had called earlier arrived, forming an encircling ring around Jacob.

Jacob frowned at the dozen or so strong bodyguards, harshly criticizing, "Victor Grant, if you’re able, duel me yourself. What’s this?"

Victor wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, smugly saying: "What’s this? Of course it’s about bullying with numbers. You think I’m brainless? Fighting you? Don’t I need to get my marriage license?"

Victor casually waved his hand to the bodyguards, signaling them to "teach Jacob a good lesson, make him unable to return home for half a month!"

The bodyguards rushed forward at his command, engaging in a fight with Jacob.

Though strong, Jacob couldn’t withstand the group assault and was soon punched to the ground and subdued.

"Jacob!" Seeing Jacob subdued, May’s face changed, shaking off Victor’s hold on her arm.

"Release him!" May turned, glaring at Victor and shouted.

Victor’s expression changed, losing all his previous gentleness: "You want to save someone from Vincent’s side too?"
