Young Master Vance Has An Enchanting Wife!-Chapter 292: If This Is a Tribulation of Love, I Will Willingly Bear It
"Of course, what kind of wedding do you want? I’ll promise you anything, even if you want to have a wedding on the moon, I can make it happen."
May’s words made Victor Grant feel a bit light-headed. Although he knew May was deliberately saying this in front of Vincent Vance to use him, he couldn’t help but feel happy, genuinely happy.
Besides, maybe he could take advantage of May’s impulsiveness and actually get the marriage certificate.
May wiped away the tears at the corner of her eyes and deliberately said to Victor, "I don’t want some moon wedding. I want nothing. I just want to get married on the same day with Vincent. I want the whole world to know that I, May Morgan, can find someone better after leaving Vincent."
"Sure, whatever kind of wedding you want, whichever day you choose, I’ll give it to you. I promise." Victor happily agreed repeatedly. In front of Vincent, he suddenly bent down, scooped May into his arms, and strutted away.
"Vincent, I hope you won’t regret it later, choosing that bitch over such a good woman. Also, I wish you could live happily ever after with that bitch, aim to spend your lifetime together. Otherwise, it wouldn’t be good for you to harm other women." Proudly, Victor threw such a provocative statement at Vincent, almost making Vincent so angry he could faint.
At that moment, watching his beloved woman being carried away by Victor, Vincent felt his heart bleeding.
But there’s no time to dwell on heartbreak because Jacob Jennings is still critically injured and needs immediate hospitalization.
To prevent Jacob from losing too much blood, Vincent swiftly and simply bandaged Jacob with gauze to stop the bleeding, then personally drove him to a nearby hospital for treatment.
When only he and Jacob were left in the car, Jacob slowly opened his eyes and gave Vincent a weak look. He knew Vincent was very sad and needed someone to talk to.
"Young Master, I know you’re really upset. If you’re afraid of losing Mistress, why don’t I find a chance to see her and explain everything to her clearly?"
Vincent’s face froze, and his hand gripping the steering wheel tightened involuntarily. Of course, he wanted to find a chance to tell May about his woes. But there were only five days left until the wedding with Brianna White, and if anything went wrong in between, their entire plan would be ruined.
And the cost of a ruined plan would be much more than just losing May; it might cost all of their lives.
"No need, if it’s meant to be, it will be. If it’s not meant to be, don’t force it. If this is my love tribulation with May, I’m willing to endure it. If we have another chance to reunite, I will repay her everything I owe. Even if I have to repay with my life, I won’t hesitate."
After hesitating for a moment, Vincent ultimately chose to continue bearing it. He was a man who prioritized the bigger picture. For May and his future, he had to endure it for now.
Jacob felt pained watching Vincent like this. May stabbing him earlier was deep enough to cut into the bone, showing how deeply she hated Vincent. It’s hard to imagine what would have happened if he hadn’t intercepted the stab in time—would the stab have killed Vincent?
If May had killed Vincent, and later learned that everything Vincent did was only to protect her, would May have regretted it to the point of death?
"I think you should still find an opportunity to explain to Mistress. What if Victor really gets the certificate with Mistress? Then they’ll be husband and wife, and what chance will you have to reunite with Mistress?" Jacob quickly advised Vincent to think twice while he was still somewhat lucid.
Vincent had certainly considered this. If May’s words to Victor at the police station were out of spite, then today’s words were a complete revenge after giving up on him.
When a woman uses all her might to retaliate against a man, she would disregard any consequence. Thus, he could almost predict that May would absolutely not reject Victor’s proposal. The two might already be on their way to the Civil Affairs Bureau to get the certificate.
What should he do? If May and Victor really got the certificate, she would be someone else’s wife. How could he then win back his woman?
"Let me send you to the hospital first."
Vincent turned to look at Jacob, who was already too weak to even speak. After weighing the situation, he ultimately decided to send Jacob to the hospital first.
Jacob looked up at Vincent one last time and saw the worry and concern on his face, knowing he was also reluctant for May to get the certificate with Victor. He reassuredly smiled, "Young Master, Mistress is a girl worth cherishing, don’t do things you’ll regret later."
Vincent, feeling as though something was caught in his throat, said hoarsely, "I know..."
After Victor took May out of the Zenith Villa, he kept calculating how to get the marriage certificate while May was still angry.
He didn’t dare directly discuss getting the certificate with May, so he secretly sent a message to his mother. He asked her to prepare his household registration booklet and ID card, along with May’s ID card and household registration booklet.
Because all of May’s belongings had been transported to Beldon City, May’s household registration booklet and other documents were now in Heather Holt’s possession.
Heather looked at the sudden text message, knowing good news was near. She quickly replied to Victor asking, "How’s it going, son? Did May have a change of heart? Is she really ready to get the certificate with you?"
Victor didn’t hide anything from his mom and recounted everything that had just happened to Heather. Lastly, he repeatedly urged Heather to promptly make arrangements at the Civil Affairs Bureau before they returned to Beldon City, ensuring that they could get the certificate without any mishaps.
To ensure the success of getting the certificate, Victor didn’t hide from his mom the fact that May had once torn up the divorce certificate. He feared complications during the certification process that might frustrate May to the point of canceling the marriage; that would ruin everything.
Heather knew her son truly liked May, but she was worried May wasn’t genuinely willing to marry Victor. If they got the certificate and she regretted it later, there would be trouble ahead.
"Son, I think it’s still a bit inappropriate. What if May is acting out of anger, and regrets it in the future after you get the certificate? You can’t do such foolish things. You have to make sure she marries you willingly, understand?"
Heather was experienced in love matters, having gone through similar things with Victor’s father. Even though her son was eager, she needed to ensure he and May truly loved each other before they got married.
