Young Master Vance Has An Enchanting Wife!-Chapter 254: His Concern
"Our young master and Brianna White didn’t do anything that day. You just mistook something you saw, causing a misunderstanding..."
"Enough, enough. I don’t want to hear your nonsense. Only you would say that. If Vincent said it, you think I wouldn’t just punch his head off?"
Victor Grant is straightforward but not stupid. He knows all too well about men’s business in their pants. What annoys him the most is not Vincent finding another woman, but rather, if you find one, just admit it. What the hell is this about refusing to admit your affair?
"Just get out, I don’t want to talk to you. Remember, this is my home. Whether it’s you or Vincent, stay away if there’s nothing important, or else I’ll start shooting!"
Victor’s voice turned cold, immediately threatening Jacob Jennings.
Jacob was about to leave anyway and didn’t intend to entangle with Victor too much. However, before leaving, he whispered to Victor, a little worried.
"If you really want to protect the young madam, take her away from Silverwood City. It’s not going to be peaceful here soon."
Victor was stunned, not understanding the meaning of Jacob’s words: ’What do you mean?’
But before he could turn around, Jacob had already swiftly opened the car door and driven away, leaving him standing at the door, staring at Jacob’s fading silhouette, lost in thought.
After a while, Victor drove in. When he brought the sugar into the kitchen, he happened to see Miller opening that box of fish jelly.
No need to ask, it must be something Vincent had Jacob deliver.
Victor irritably grabbed the box from Miller’s hands, intending to toss it out, scaring Miller into shouting and quickly snatching it back.
"Mr. Grant, you can’t just throw this away. This is special nourishment for Miss Morgan’s weakened body."
Afraid Victor didn’t recognize its value, Miller quickly added: "This box of Yellow Lip Fish Jelly is worth a few million at least. Just by looking at its quality and color, you can tell it’s top-grade. It’s extremely effective for women who’ve lost a lot of blood after miscarriage. If Miss Morgan consumes it, her body will definitely recover."
Victor, being no stranger to luxury, wasn’t impressed by supplements worth millions. His mother had consumed enough of such things. He just didn’t want May to have anything more to do with Vincent’s things, even if it was something as valuable as Yellow Lip Fish Jelly.
"It’s just a box of fish jelly. I’ll ask my mom to get a few boxes for me next time," Victor scoffed disdainfully.
Miller looked at Victor speechlessly, knowing he wasn’t short on money. But this item, rare as it was, wasn’t easy to come by. Moreover, May was at her weakest now. If she didn’t consume it soon, it might be too late later.
"Don’t worry about this. This item is perfect for Miss Morgan. Consuming it now will ensure her health for future pregnancies. If Miss Morgan ends up marrying you, wouldn’t you prefer she has an easy time getting pregnant?"
Miller deliberately spoke to Victor this way to cheer him up. At least, the primary concern was to get May healthy first.
Victor couldn’t help but feel pleased hearing Miller talk about a future with May. The more she talked about it, the happier he felt.
"Alright, then you make it. I’ll ask my mom to get more of it tomorrow. We can have as much of these supplements as needed." Victor said cheerfully to Miller.
After Victor left, Miller began simmering the fish jelly in the kitchen. It took more than an hour to be ready. Once done, Victor eagerly carried the bowl upstairs to serve it to May.
Before he left, Miller repeatedly warned him not to let May know that the fish jelly was sent by Vincent through Jacob, fearing May wouldn’t consume it.
Victor wasn’t naive. He had no intention of giving Vincent any credit for it. Right now, whether Vincent willingly or unwillingly let May go, it was his own doing. He deserved to be distanced by her.
In Victor’s hands, the fish jelly had a pungent fishy smell. After all, this stuff was made from dried swim bladders. Could it possibly smell good?
May, already lacking an appetite, almost gagged when presented with the large bowl of fish jelly.
"Victor Grant, what are you bringing in again? It smells awful!" May sat up in bed, complaining about the odor.
Victor tried to placate her by placing the fish jelly in front of her, saying, "Yellow Lip Fish Jelly, it’s very nourishing. You’ll recover quickly after drinking it. Come on, be good and drink it, will you?"
Victor scooped up a spoonful, signaling May to eat. The sticky substance was unappealing, coupled with its smell...
"I won’t eat it, I have no appetite." May didn’t understand the medicinal value of Yellow Lip Fish Jelly, only knowing the odor was unbearably disgusting, quickly turning her head away, refusing flatly.
Observing this, Victor threatened her: ’If you won’t eat, then I’ll have to feed you mouth-to-mouth.’
With that, Victor tapped the spoon, telling May: ’Do you know how much this bowl of fish jelly cost? It didn’t come for less than a million. If you don’t eat it, I’d be wasting a million. Do you think I could bear to throw something this expensive away?’
"A million? Are you joking? I don’t believe it’s that expensive!" May retorted in shock, but just as she was about to speak more, Victor quickly took a mouthful of fish jelly, grabbed May’s head, and kissed her.
May hit him several times in frustration, but without her usual strength, she couldn’t overpower him. She could only let Victor pour the fish jelly from his mouth into hers, then he used his tongue to push the fish jelly down her throat, preventing her from spitting it back out.
Once Victor finally let go of May, she didn’t know whether it was the fish jelly’s fishy taste or Victor’s actions, but she turned around and vomited it out.
Seeing May vomit even the porridge she’d just eaten, Victor’s face turned as dark as night.
"Am I... that bothersome to you?" After a pause, a disappointed Victor murmured softly.
May hesitated slightly, and when she looked up again, she saw Victor’s incredibly disappointed face.
"No, it’s just the fish jelly smells too fishy, I..." Not wanting to hurt his feelings, May quickly explained to Victor.
Victor gave a sheepish laugh, scratched his head as he got up from the chair: "Well, it really is quite expensive, and it’s good for your health. You’re better off having it."
After speaking, Victor placed the bowl of fish jelly down and turned to leave May’s room.
As soon as he left, Miller came rushing in from the door. Seeing May staring blankly at the bowl of fish jelly, she came over and whispered to May: ’Miss Morgan, this Yellow Lip Fish Jelly was bought by Mr. Grant. It’s rare and invaluable, costing several million for just a box. You should consume it.’
