Young Master Vance Has An Enchanting Wife!-Chapter 255: Surprise Attack
Miller finished speaking, then picked up the bowl of fish jelly, scooped a spoonful and brought it to May Morgan’s mouth. Seeing this, May felt embarrassed to refuse again, so she quickly took the bowl and spoon and began eating it herself.
The taste of the fish jelly was truly awful, like eating raw fish scales, that fishy odor—don’t even mention how nauseating it was. But with Miller watching her, no matter how unpleasant it was, May could only eat the entire bowl of fish jelly, one mouthful at a time.
After finishing the fish jelly, Miller walked out of the bedroom with the empty bowl and immediately saw Victor Grant leaning on the railing at the end of the hallway, quietly smoking.
Victor’s smoking action was full of melancholy, and Miller could tell he was worried about May Morgan’s situation.
"Mr. Grant, Miss Morgan has eaten all the fish jelly." Miller said deliberately to Victor Grant while holding the bowl as she went downstairs. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚
Upon hearing that May had eaten all the fish jelly, Victor awkwardly said, "Oh, it seems she doesn’t dislike the taste of the fish jelly after all."
Probably she just vomited earlier, not because she disliked the fish jelly but because she disliked his taste, right?
Miller didn’t know what had happened between Victor and May in the bedroom, so she spoke honestly, "Miss Morgan actually dislikes the taste of the fish jelly. This fish jelly’s flavor is so strong, and few genuinely like it. However, when she heard it was bought by you, and it was so expensive, she felt embarrassed not to eat it."
"Really? Then I’ll have someone buy her more."
With Miller’s words, Victor Grant instantly felt cheerful and delighted. Without thinking, he took out his phone and called his mother.
"Mom, do you have any Yellow Lip Fish Jelly? If you do, can you send some over?"
Victor’s mother, Heather Holt, was desperate for grandchildren and sprang up from the sofa upon hearing Victor wanted Yellow Lip Fish Jelly. "What do you need that thing for?"
As a seasoned expert in tonic supplements, Heather often researched the efficacy and characteristics of these expensive tonics. Yellow Lip Fish Jelly is the ace in the world of supplements, and she surely knows what it’s used for.
Typically, it’s needed when women lose blood during childbirth or with miscarriage to maintain the fetus. When Victor asked her for Yellow Lip Fish Jelly now, could it be...
Thinking of this, Heather’s eyes brightened, and she couldn’t sit still. "You honestly tell me, is it because of that girl you brought last time that you’re keeping the fetus at St. Zion Hospital?"
"No, I can’t explain it to you. Just tell me if you have any Yellow Lip Fish Jelly? If you have it, send some over; if not, forget it."
Victor was really afraid of Heather’s pressuring for marriage, so he impatiently planned to hang up the call.
Heather was crafty; even if she didn’t have any, she’d say she did to keep her son steady.
"Yes, of course. Your mom has studied supplements for so many years, how could I not have Yellow Lip Fish Jelly? Let me tell you, not only do I have it, but it’s top quality among top quality, guaranteed to work wonders for you."
When Victor heard his mom had some, he quickly clamored for her to have someone send it over. "Then quickly have someone send me some, I need it urgently."
"Alright, tell me your current address, and I’ll have someone send it over right away."
Victor feared his parents pestering him, so he bought this villa in secret without telling anyone. He liked to sleep in the warehouse normally, so even Heather didn’t know where her son was staying.
But now, with May staying in the villa, to get the supplements from his mom, Victor spoke truthfully.
"I’m at a villa in the south of the city, midway down Hawthorne Road. Call me when your person arrives."
Victor had no doubts, revealing his secret hideaway.
Heather gave a sly smile and readily agreed. "Alright, tomorrow morning, I’ll have someone send you what you need."
After hanging up Victor’s call, Heather excitedly dashed upstairs to discuss with her husband on how to surprise their son tomorrow.
Early in the morning, more than ten luxury cars were parked at the entrance of Victor’s villa. These cars were neatly surrounding the villa completely, blocking not just the front but even the back side gates were blocked by the cars.
Judging by this scene, it seemed as if they had a vendetta against someone inside, afraid that the person inside might escape.
Miller got up early to go outside to buy things. When she opened the door, she was shocked by the scene in front of her. She thought it was Victor’s car enemies coming to make trouble, and quickly shut the door again without saying a word.
"Mr. Grant, please wake up, a lot of cars came outside and blocked all of our doors." Miller hurried back into the villa scared, and ran to knock on Victor’s door, urging him to find a way.
Looking at the situation outside, there were at least thirty or more people, and only Victor inside could take action. This wasn’t a situation just to passively suffer.
Victor was still drowsy from sleep. Upon hearing there was commotion outside, he threw off the sheets and climbed out of bed. "Damn, who’s here?"
How would Miller know who? The cars at the entrance just blocked, no one came down. She just saw the situation and quickly closed the door, scared those people might hack her to death.
"I, I don’t know. You better look through the window, these cars clearly came for us."
Miller quickly pulled back Victor’s bedroom curtains and pointed the cars out to him.
Victor grabbed his phone, ready to call people. As he swiftly glanced outside, he immediately recognized the leading, familiar car.
A moment later, his mind exploded.
Seeing Victor staring out the window, with brows tightly knitted, yet saying nothing, Miller was frightened and quietly suggested, "Mr. Grant, should we call the police? There are so many people, we can’t fight them all, right?"
Victor’s mouth twitched, and he speechlessly said, "Call what police? Go downstairs and open the door."
"What?" Miller thought she misheard. Open the door, won’t those people then have free access inside?
"Just go downstairs and open the door. No nonsense." Victor didn’t bother explaining to Miller, turned around and grabbed clothes to put on, then went to the washroom to freshen up.
Miller looked confusedly at Victor as he was minding his own business, washing his face and brushing his teeth, unsure what he was thinking.
But on second thought, these people must have come for Victor, probably wouldn’t even cut a maid like her, right?
So Miller trembled and went downstairs, headed to the villa entrance, and opened the door again. This time, upon seeing the door open, the leading Rolls-Royce Phantom’s door swiftly opened. The driver quickly got out, and respectfully opened the rear door.
