Within My Sect, All Realms Unite-Chapter 35: Divine Martial Soul
As soon as Lin Xiaotian arrived at his private chamber, the atmosphere around him returned to its usual calm.
The quiet courtyard outside the residence stood in sharp contrast to the noisy arena they had just left. Soft lantern light illuminated the interior hall while faint spiritual energy drifted peacefully through the air.
Yan Feng and Li Qingyun stood respectfully near the entrance.
Lin Xiaotian walked toward the central table and slowly sat down. He poured himself a cup of tea before finally looking at the two disciples.
"Sit."
His voice was calm but carried natural authority both Yan Feng and Li Qingyun immediately obeyed and sat down across from him.
For a moment, silence filled the room.
Then Lin Xiaotian’s gaze slowly moved toward Li Qingyun and his eyes narrowed slightly. "Li Qingyun," he said calmly, "do you think there is something you should tell me?"
The words were not loud, yet they carried a quiet pressure Li Qingyun’s body stiffened slightly.
He shifted uncomfortably in his seat and for a moment he lowered his head, clearly struggling with something inside his heart.
Then he let out a long sigh and said "Master...". His voice was quiet. "I was planning to tell you about it eventually."
He paused before continuing. "But I was afraid."
Lin Xiaotian remained silent, waiting for him to continue.
Li Qingyun clenched his fists slightly. "I was afraid that if I revealed it too early... I would no longer be to ever surpass what I am."
His eyes moved briefly toward Yan Feng. "Senior Brother Yan is a true genius." he continued "Tianhe and brother Ciao are also extremely powerful."
"But I..." He gave a bitter smile. "I am just an orphan and someone with nor any background neither talent... in essence nothing."
"In the outside world someone like me would have been destined to remain one of the lowest scums of society."
His voice softened. "But everything changed when you accepted me into the sect, Master."
"You gave me a chance to cultivate you gave me a place to belong, but I didn’t want to just look at the back of the geniuses, and nor did I want to disappoint you master"
Just as he finished speaking a sudden green light erupted from the center of his forehead.
Yan Feng immediately stood up in shock.
Lin Xiaotian’s eyes narrowed sharply a thin beam of green light slowly rose from Li Qingyun’s brow.
The light gathered in the air and gradually transformed into the shape of an ancient journal. Runes of deep emerald color shimmered faintly across its surface.
Then the journal slowly opened and from within it emerged the transparent figure of a man dressed in ancient battle armor.
The man stepped forward and respectfully bowed toward Lin Xiaotian. "Greetings, Sect Master."
"I am the Divine General... Zhuo Tao."
Lin Xiaotian’s pupils contracted slightly the aura coming from the figure felt ancient and weirdly familiar.
For a moment his mind instantly recalled something it was the day he had first entered the sealed chamber inside the Weapon Hall.
The moment he stepped into that room, he had sensed a strange resonance as a deep and mysterious presence had filled the chamber.
Inside that hall there had been seven ancient weapons resting silently. Each one had felt like a sleeping god.
He remembered them clearly.
The first was a blue divine bow that radiated a quiet yet terrifying killing intent.
The second was a crimson halberd, heavy with the aura of countless battlefields.
The third was a violet whip that seemed to twist faintly with lightning-like energy.
The fourth was a golden sword, elegant yet overwhelmingly sharp.
The fifth was a pair of pitch-black daggers that gave off a chilling murderous aura.
The sixth was a mysterious multi-colored ring, whose nature he had not been able to understand.
And the seventh...
A pair of emerald, green boots.
At the time, the system had only given him a simple notification.
Martial Souls — asleep.
Now, as Lin Xiaotian looked at Zhuo Tao’s aura, he immediately recognized the connection. It was identical to the aura of those ancient weapons precisely the boots
Lin Xiaotian leaned slightly forward. "So, you are connected to those weapons."
Zhuo Tao nodded respectfully. "Yes, Sect Master I am the divine soul of the Verdant-Phantom boots"
His gaze briefly moved toward Li Qingyun. "This boy is the one I have chosen."
Lin Xiaotian looked intrigued. "So, the others are still sleeping?"
Zhuo Tao nodded again. "The others have not yet found someone worthy."
Then he snorted faintly. "Or perhaps...they are simply too arrogant."
Lin Xiaotian chuckled slightly at that remark.
Zhuo Tao continued calmly. "Only the person chosen by us can truly awaken our power." "Others may hold the weapon...but they will never control it."
Lin Xiaotian crossed his arms thoughtfully. "I see."
Then he asked curiously. "But I still wish to know something why you chose Li Qingyun?"
Zhuo Tao looked at Li Qingyun for a moment. Then he slowly spoke. "Sect Master... divine weapons do not all seek the same kind of master, and all have different traits and personalities."
"Some of us pursue unmatched talent, some pursue noble bloodlines others pursue those favored by fate itself."
He paused slightly. "But I...personally seek something else."
His voice grew deeper. "I seek those who know what absolute loyalty and will is and also what is compassion."
The room fell silent as Zhuo Tao continued. "In my long existence I have witnessed countless geniuses."
"They shine brilliantly...Yet the moment true adversity appears, they collapse."
His gaze returned to Li Qingyun. "This boy’s talent may be ordinary, his background may be insignificant."
"But his will is not." he stopped for a moment as he remarked "That boy Miao Han is not bad either but he lacks a few things"
Then he looked at Li Qingyan again "When he entered the sect, he stood beside disciples far more talented than himself."
"Yet his heart never once wavered, nor did he ever grow jealous neither did he curse fate."
"He simply chose to work harder and have gratitude towards the place which accepted him."
Zhuo Tao nodded slightly. "A weapon of war does not seek the brightest star."
"It seeks the soldier who will still be standing when the battlefield is covered in corpses."
Lin Xiaotian listened quietly then he nodded slowly. "I see, I will not interfere with your choice."
He gave a small smile. "I rarely interfere with fate... unless it begins to flow against me."
Zhuo Tao returned the smile faintly. "A wise decision, Sect Master."
Lin Xiaotian leaned slightly back in his chair. "Still...I feel there is more behind your choice."
Zhuo Tao’s eyes flickered slightly and for a moment he remained silent.
Then he bowed lightly. "Indeed, but alas...some secrets are not meant to be spoken lightly."
The room became quiet again and Lin Xiaotian did not press further. Instead, a thoughtful smile appeared on his face because he understood one thing very clearly.
The Celestial Origin Supreme Sect had just gained something extremely valuable.
Not merely a powerful weapon but a disciple whose fate had begun to intertwine with something far greater.
As he thought so the general slowly receded back into the journal and it receded into Li Qingyan.
