When the Wind is Sweet: The Fairy Tale of Mr. and Mrs. Lancaster-Chapter 502: Wishing Miss Sherman a Brand New Life Ahead
Even if he wasn’t Caleb’s son, he was still her own son. How could she bear to let a child endure all this resentment?
Eliza Hayes felt she was really out of her mind before!
After driving Eliza Hayes home, Adrian Lancaster and Faye Turner didn’t stay at the old house, not even getting out of the car.
Even though Faye suggested visiting Grandpa, Adrian made an excuse about having to work tonight and left with his wife.
Back home, he urged Faye to wash up.
"What’s up?" Faye originally wanted to read for a while. "Going to bed this early?"
"The doctor said today that you need to get plenty of rest. Only then will the baby grow well." Adrian Lancaster led her to the bathroom, squeezed out her toothpaste, and got her water ready.
Faye looked at him somewhat surprised, and after a moment, she took it without thinking too much.
He almost stood by her as she brushed her teeth.
After she finished brushing her teeth, Adrian Lancaster filled the bathtub for her, found her pajamas, and sprinkled some rose petals in the water. "Honey, take a bath first."
"Such attention for no reason, come on, what’s the matter?" Faye crossed her arms, smiling at him. "Let me guess?"
"No need to guess, there’s nothing." He looked at her gently. "I’m just happy and want to serve you."
Their eyes met for a long time, and Faye was touched by his tenderness, her heart becoming incredibly soft.
Being able to marry him, was that her fortune from a past life?
While Faye was soaking in the bath, Adrian Lancaster took her used toothbrush from the cup, put it into a sample bag, and quickly headed downstairs.
At this moment, a car drove into the yard.
A man got out of the car and headed towards the living room. Adrian Lancaster walked out of the living room, handing him the sample bag. "Let me know as soon as there are results."
"Okay, President Lancaster." The other person nodded and quickly turned to leave.
At this moment, Faye’s phone screen lit up, and Dustin Shepherd had sent her a WeChat message.
She lay in the warm bathtub, watching the mist fill the air, gradually losing her focus... She was thinking, how great it would be if she had superpowers?
That way, she could help him find his dad.
Adrian Lancaster put a new toothbrush in her cup, exactly the same as the last one, from the same batch.
He didn’t want to tell her yet because what if none of these people matched, and she held on to hope?
So until things were absolutely confirmed, Adrian Lancaster didn’t want to say a word.
By then, what he’d give her would definitely be a surprise.
Today was considered a big accomplishment for Rachel Sherman.
She bought a fully furnished apartment, and with Chase Fletcher’s help, completed all the procedures in one day.
Right now, she was moving house; Chase Fletcher postponed all his plans for the day to help her find a moving company, and he stayed at the site himself.
Finally, they loaded everything from the rental apartment onto the truck.
Chase Fletcher sat in his car’s backseat, holding the sleeping June.
Rachel went to handle the final arrangements with the landlord. Looking at the little one in his arms, he suddenly felt the challenges of being a single mother, having to care for a child and manage a career.
"Uncle, thank you so much for all your help. Here’s the key for you," Rachel, though a bit tired, was in a great mood. "The water and electricity bills have been settled."
"Alright, I wish Miss Sherman a happy new journey later on."
The landlord uncle was a simple, honest man with a kind smile. "I see this young man helping you move today is really good, busy all around, and he looks very decent."
He was talking about Chase Fletcher?
Rachel smiled shyly and explained, "He’s just an ordinary friend of mine, please don’t misunderstand."
