Chapter 166: Chapter 166: His Way of Apologizing

He saw that her computer was already shut down, she wasn’t asleep from working until exhaustion.

Adrian Lancaster thought, was she just unwilling to go back to the room and sleep with him?

Pregnant and still treating herself with such grievance? This wasn’t like her style.

Adrian Lancaster no longer dwelled on it; he bent his noble stature and carried the girl lying on the desk away in his arms.

Faye Turner was startled awake and found herself nestled in his arms, leaning against his warm chest.

The man carried her as he stepped out.

The girl sleepily opened her eyes, feeling the strength in his embrace, looking at his chiseled chin, indifferent and noble face, almost feeling like it was all a dream.

Until he carried her into the master bedroom, gently put her under the covers, then he walked around the big bed to lay beside her.

Too tired, Faye Turner didn’t think much and didn’t care whether it was a dream or not, she closed her weary eyes...

The next morning.

Since her phone was broken, she didn’t have an alarm, so Faye Turner slept until she naturally woke up.

When she opened her eyes, Adrian Lancaster had long disappeared.

The girl lay flat on the bed, staring at the ceiling, recalling what happened last night, after sending off Grandpa, she later went to the study, right?

It seemed it was him who carried her back to the master bedroom?

Yet, Faye Turner never heard an apology from him; he had such a big anger, broke the medicine bowl, pushed her, and even smashed her phone...

This proud Adrian Lancaster!

With a soft sigh, the girl got up and inadvertently turned her gaze, only to find a new phone on the bedside table.

She paused for a moment!

Three seconds later, she quickly reached out to grab it, it was only seven thirty.

The new phone had her SIM card installed, no password set, directly accessible to the home screen, and with essential apps already downloaded.

Faye Turner opened the box for the new phone, or picked it up, but didn’t find any note left by Adrian Lancaster.

This proud guy, knowing he did wrong, yet still not apologizing, right?

Still, holding this new phone, her mood was good, a smile appeared on her lips as she tidied up and went out.

"Uncle Lane, let’s go to Dr. Aiken’s." Coming down, she settled into the car’s passenger seat.

Uncle Lane drove, somewhat puzzled, "Do you need more medicine?"

"Yes, the medicine bought yesterday, I need another set today, sorry to trouble you."

"No trouble, no trouble at all."

Uncle Lane drove her over, and while she was queuing, Uncle Lane called Adrian Lancaster to report—

"President Lancaster, Miss Turner went to see Dr. Aiken to buy medicine again."

Prestige Group, the stylish and luxurious CEO office.

Adrian Lancaster sat in the office chair, pressing his phone lightly to his ear, "Okay, drive safely."

"Yesterday I didn’t bring her to the company because she met the old master outside the clinic, she rode back in the old master’s car." 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞

Something flickered in Adrian Lancaster’s deep eyes, further confirming yesterday was just a coincidence.

"Alright, I got it."

He had mentioned, any non-work-related car rides by Faye Turner must be reported to him.

In this aspect, Uncle Lane did exceptionally well.

Morning, in the design department.

Because the "Eternal Glance" series work evaluation was imminent, and the deadline for submissions approached, no one dared to slack off.

One by one, with dark circles under their eyes, they were perfecting their works; everyone wanted to stand out.

After arriving at the company, Faye Turner was no exception, immersing herself in work.

But perhaps because she was pregnant, the emotions she wanted to express were more intense than usual.

So she revised her designs repeatedly, striving for perfection, trying to imbue all her emotions into them.

In her mind, these were gifts for her child.

"Everyone, hurry up, the drafts must be submitted the day after tomorrow!" Nancy Jennings came over to urge, "The first review will cut half of them! Fifty percent will stay! Then there will be time reserved for everyone to improve their works before entering the second round!"

Invisibly, it added a bit of pressure for everyone.

Afternoon.

While Faye Turner was revising her draft, Serena Sutton passed by with coffee, noticing the necklace on her screen inadvertently.

Just that brief glance left Serena Sutton stunned.
