Chapter 158: Chapter 158: Did You Really Marry President Lancaster?

"Grandpa..." The girl steadied her nerves and said with a smile, "It’s nothing, he’s just a bit allergic, it’s already better, nothing major."

But Grandpa didn’t see it that way. If it wasn’t a big deal, she wouldn’t have asked. Since she asked like that, she must have thought it over for a long time.

So, Grandpa became even more worried.

Soon, the car stopped in front of the Prestige Group headquarters.

"Thank you, Grandpa, for giving me a ride. I’m going now, okay?" Faye Turner bid farewell to the old man, who waved her off, "Alright, go on." He instructed her to take it slow.

"I’ll come back to see you on Friday!" After getting out of the car, Faye waved at him again before turning to walk towards the lobby.

She didn’t want others to see her getting out of Grandpa Lancaster’s car.

The driver watched the old master’s expression through the rearview mirror, his smile faded, and he seemed to become even more serious.

Without the old master’s order, the driver didn’t dare to start the car and leave on his own.

Sure enough, the next second, the old master opened the door and got out of the car by himself.

The driver quickly got out of the car as well and accompanied him.

"I’m going to see Adrian." Grandpa started walking in with his dragon-headed cane, his face cold and stern, really uneasy, not knowing how he got hurt.

When the old master appeared at the company lobby entrance, he was recognized.

"Good morning, Old Master!" The other person became tense.

"Old Master!"

Soon, the manager arrived, everyone was flustered and nervous, with no preparation at all! Afraid of being negligent.

Old Master Lancaster had no intention of inspecting the company today and walked straight towards the elevator.

Though he was old, his presence was on par with Adrian Lancaster, making him someone people couldn’t help but fear.

Back in the large office of the design department, Faye sat at her desk, a bit lost in thought...

Even feeling a bit sad.

He was injured so badly, and even the grandpa who loved him the most didn’t know. How much pain must he have been in back then?

So young, and no one took him to the hospital, no one helped him deal with his injuries, and no one consoled his young heart.

Kind-hearted Faye really didn’t know how little Adrian Lancaster managed to survive those days.

From the scars, he was at most five or six years old then...

The thought made her shudder; his cold personality was likely related to his childhood experiences.

"Faye, what are you thinking about?"

Serena Sutton had been observing her for a long time and came over with a coffee to mock her, "The ’Eternal Love’ series is due next week, don’t tell me you have no work done and plan to rely purely on connections?"

Faye returned to reality and looked up, gazing at her condescending face.

Serena crossed her arms and quietly asked, "I heard you married President Lancaster?"

There was none of the emotion Serena wanted on Faye’s face, so she continued asking, "I’m very curious, why not make it public?"

Faye was confused, wondering where she got this information from.

"Is there an agreement?" Serena thought she guessed correctly and asked, "There’s no love, right?"

She intended to provoke Faye little by little to get the information her aunt wanted.

"If you have time to gossip about others, could it be that your design is ready?"

Faye asked her with a smile, not at all angry, "You’re new here, you have even less time."

"But I have talent!" Serena was very proud, "I sketched the outline in one night, even without connections, I have talent, I think the world is still fair! Relying on men to make a living doesn’t last!"

Faye didn’t want to waste time with her nonsense, looked away, and said, "Then let’s wait and see Miss Sutton’s talent at that time."

"Faye, did you really marry President Lancaster?" Serena really wanted an accurate answer, so she seriously asked.

Faye looked up again, "It doesn’t concern you, I don’t need to tell you."

"So it’s true?"

"Whether it’s true or not has nothing to do with you, can’t you understand?" Faye’s eyes held a hint of indifference and distance as she looked at her.

This made the other person very angry!!

What did Adrian see in her?! Is he blind?!
