When the Wind is Sweet: The Fairy Tale of Mr. and Mrs. Lancaster-Chapter 145: Yet Another Push for a Baby
"No, I was just thinking of buying a type of Chinese medicine from here."
Uncle Lane expressed some concern, "I wonder if he’ll sell it. This person is quite eccentric; I’ve only seen him diagnose patients and prescribe medicine."
"I’ve heard a bit about him, so I want to give it a try." Faye Turner was still very hopeful, "He should sell it."
Soon, the car was weaving through small alleys and began to slow down.
Faye Turner glanced at the navigation from time to time, memorizing the route, and eventually, the car came to a steady stop in front of a closed store without a sign.
"This is the place." Uncle Lane pointed with his hand.
Faye Turner saw a fruit store on the left and a grocery store on the right, both open for business.
Dr. Aiken’s clinic, however, was still closed...
The car window rolled down.
Faye Turner gazed unwaveringly at the closed door, "What time does it open?"
Uncle Lane replied, "It’s uncertain, will you wait here or head back to the company first?" 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
She thought for a moment, "I’ll head back to the company first." After all, there was work to do.
So, Uncle Lane drove Faye Turner back to the company.
Around nine o’clock, Faye Turner was at a point where her work was nearly done, and she was ready to leave.
She encountered Serena Sutton at the door.
Serena Sutton was about to give her a hard time, but Faye Turner sped by her, rushing into the elevator.
Leaving Serena Sutton with words stuck in her throat.
Auntie claimed Faye Turner and Adrian got a marriage certificate, but upon thinking it over calmly today, she was skeptical.
Because surprisingly, no one in the office was talking about it!
Logically, if they really got the certificate, shouldn’t they be bragging about it everywhere? Mrs. Lancaster is no ordinary title!
Faye Turner didn’t trouble Uncle Lane; she took a taxi herself to the clinic she visited in the morning.
The door was open.
But outside, there was a row of red plastic stools, all seated with patients waiting for consultation.
From a distance, she stood at the end of the line and saw a middle-aged man around fifty behind the glass counter, taking the pulse of patients.
It’s too far to see him clearly, but vaguely, he has a celestial aura.
Faye Turner lined up obediently.
As time passes and the line gets shorter, she could finally see Dr. Aiken clearly.
She also heard his voice as he was checking a woman’s pulse at that moment—
He asked the woman, "Why do you look familiar?"
The woman looked up and replied with a smile, "I had two before, both adjusted by you. You’re a miracle worker; that’s why I’m back again!"
Having a third child?
Faye Turner thought it was quite brave, either the family is loaded, or the couple is deeply in love. She couldn’t help but look at the woman a bit enviously.
Just then, the doctor taking the pulse replied, "You’re flattering me; it’s not my doing, you’re naturally capable of bearing children."
Oops!
The line erupted in a small commotion, and the woman appeared a bit embarrassed.
This was the first time Faye Turner found this traditional medicine doctor to be an interesting character.
At this moment, Faye Turner’s phone rang.
She took a look and saw it was Grandpa Lancaster calling, so she quickly answered, "Hi, Grandpa," she whispered.
"Faye, how have things been with Adrian lately?" Grandpa Lancaster asked kindly, "Have you been getting along well?"
"Quite well," her voice was small, "How about you? Is your health okay?"
"I’m good. Adrian’s been very busy with work lately. Have you advised him to rest more?"
"I have, Grandpa."
"Is he staying up late?" Grandpa asked straightforwardly, "Do you two... have any plans for starting a family? Expanding the Lancaster lineage isn’t a joke; it should be on the agenda soon, it’s a big deal! More important than work!"
