When the Wind is Sweet: The Fairy Tale of Mr. and Mrs. Lancaster-Chapter 1049: He Truly Loves Her
Adrian Lancaster achieved his goal for today.
Bringing her to the company turned out to be rewarding, as she finally remembered bits and pieces.
That’s a good thing.
So, he took her hand, afraid she wouldn’t believe him, and patiently explained once more, "Faye, listen to me, Dustin, when he was in college, probably liked you."
This statement made Faye Turner frown, but she didn’t interrupt.
"Knowing you married me, he gave up any thoughts, and later he got a girlfriend, named Serena Sutton, who also works at our company."
Faye just looked at him, wanting to see if he was lying.
Adrian Lancaster’s gaze was very sincere, "I just saw him being busy, and the girlfriend eager to marry, so I helped plan the wedding without charging him a penny. As a boss like me..." He suddenly stopped, not wanting to outright praise himself.
But Faye smiled gently, responding, "Isn’t a boss like you hard to find even with a lantern?"
"That’s your words, not mine. I didn’t boast." Adrian Lancaster felt quite happy, leaning back in his chair and looking out of the window in a good mood.
Today’s sunset was truly beautiful, just like his mood.
The car was heading to the villa, and Adrian had been thinking all day about Faye’s desire to see their daughter.
"Wife, in the future if you remember anything, you must tell me." He suddenly turned his gaze, "No one’s perfect, I hope you don’t forget my good side and only remember my bad, then digest it alone. Please give me a chance to explain."
Mr. Kerr felt genuinely happy seeing President Lancaster in this humble yet blissful state.
Having someone in one’s heart gives life something to look forward to.
From the time madam disappeared to the time she was found, he hadn’t seen him smile once during these two or three months.
He had once become quite thin, only started gaining weight so he could fit into the suit madam made for him, and once he did, he was reluctant to take it off.
He would even not talk for an entire day, but today, he turned into a chatterbox.
How could Mr. Kerr, who cared for him, not feel happy?
The car window was open, and Faye’s long hair by her cheeks fluttered in the wind.
She turned her eyes to the outside, the nearby fragrance of flowers mixed with the coolness of the evening, "Didn’t you say you could make me fall in love with you again? So whether I remember or forget something, what does it matter?"
Upon hearing this, Adrian Lancaster pulled the partition with the driver and turned to leap towards her!
Faye screamed in fright, feeling ticklish at her waist where he was playfully touching, "Let go, Adrian Lancaster!"
Since they were in the car, she held back her laughter, but it was really hard, she lowered her voice and said, "Adrian Lancaster, let go!"
"Do you think it doesn’t matter?" he teased with her, their hormonal breath close by, her body seemed to freeze, eyelashes lightly trembling.
Just looking at him like that, Adrian Lancaster reached out to smooth her hair, "Listen, no matter what the situation, I love you."
His gentle voice, like a sacred light, gently enveloped her.
"You can forget everything, you can forget everything in the world, but please, you must remember that I, Adrian Lancaster, love you the most."
Faye just gazed at him, that fearful feeling of losing him, revealed in his eyes, made her suddenly feel he was so vulnerable.
Compared to the man strategizing in the company, before her, he was a completely different person.
Adrian Lancaster lifted her fingers, bringing them to his lips, and cherished them with a kiss, he truly, deeply loved her.
