"Doctor Mu’s girlfriend, I won’t disturb your rest anymore. I’ll head out now."

Having obtained the information she wanted, the little nurse left with satisfaction.

Sheng Jiayu lay back with her head up, recalling what she had heard earlier, about someone planning to confess to Mu Ke during the Christmas party at City First Hospital. This was a private hospital. If she remembered correctly, Shengshi Group was still the major shareholder here.

Two different hospitals, yet both had doctors who admired Mu Ke. Sheng Jiayu curled her lips. She really did find a potential stock, but why would such a man like her?

After lying on the bed for a while longer, Sheng Jiayu felt a bit stuffy and got up to go for a walk outside.

Mu Ke had apparently anticipated that she might go out and had already prepared a thick down jacket for her.

Wrapped in the jacket, she went out. The weather outside today was nice; although it was cold, the sun was quite bright.

Sheng Jiayu didn’t leave the hospital building, just walking around the corridors. This place was funded by Shengshi Group, and the design was naturally different from ordinary hospitals. An arched corridor bridge connected the two buildings, and standing on it offered a view of the hospital’s small garden below.

Sheng Jiayu stood there for a while, watching the people coming and going below. Just as she was about to turn back, her gaze suddenly caught a familiar figure walking through the adjacent corridor.

Sheng Jiayu looked closely, and that person, emerging from the other side of the corridor and turning around, happened to have their back to her.

Even though it was just a back view, Sheng Jiayu was very sure that the person was Su Wan.

Why was she here?

Su Wan was holding a small boy in her arms, with the child lying on her shoulder, looking a bit unwell. Was she there to see a doctor with the child?

But why was she alone?

Where was Xin Ke?

Was he too busy?

Alright, Sheng Jiayu felt a bit bored with herself. Whatever happened to them was no longer related to her. Why should she care?

Turning to leave, she hadn’t taken more than a couple of steps before a commotion occurred just over there. That once arrogant voice that Sheng Jiayu was all too familiar with drifted into her ears again.

"What kind of person are you? Walking without watching?"

Sheng Jiayu couldn’t help but look back. A crowd had gathered over there. It seemed like someone had bumped into Su Wan, causing her to start yelling.

Sheng Jiayu furrowed her eyebrows. This was a hospital, how appropriate was it to shout like a fishwife? Besides, it wasn’t anything serious, was it?

But this was the kind of person who managed to utterly defeat her. Sheng Jiayu laughed self-deprecatingly. This was her misfortune, and Xin Ke’s too.

Sheng Jiayu had never thought highly of Su Wan. She knew all too well what kind of person that woman was. If she were worthy of Xin Ke’s true heart, Sheng Jiayu wouldn’t have been unwilling to let go all these years, though in the end, she still lost completely.

Sheng Jiayu no longer paid them any mind, but the argument only grew louder. The other party initially apologized to Su Wan, but it seemed they had been provoked. Both sides refused to back down, and bystanders couldn’t stop them.

Having already crossed the corridor bridge and turned a corner, Sheng Jiayu could still hear the noise from over there.

Such a person, in the hospital, it was simply bringing shame to Shengshi Group.

Returning to the ward, Sheng Jiayu took out her phone, found a number, and dialed it.

Let it be personal revenge. She just didn’t want to see Su Wan cause a scene on her own turf. Who did she think she was?
