The villagers had come back after having evacuated the village previously.

I had one of the spirit beasts come over to my side and then had it move out in front of the village chief.

When the village chief saw this spirit beast, he couldn’t help taking a step back. However, he eventually stood there in front of the spirit beast and waited to see what happened.

This spirit beast was a deer, so it wasn’t as dangerous as the rest of the spirit beasts.

I felt that this was the one that suited the village chief the best.

After letting them stare at each other for a bit, I said to the village chief, "Raise your hand in front of it."

The village chief had a confused look when he heard this, but he still raised his hand up in front of him so that the palm was facing the deer. The deer seemed to react when it saw the village chief raise his hand in front of it, so it started moving forward.

The village chief was caught off guard when he saw the deer spirit beast moving towards him, but he remembered what I said and he stopped moving back.

The two of them just stood there as the distance between them closed until the deer was right in front of the village chief. However, as it stood there in front of the village chief, it didn’t move itself any closer.

Instead, it just slowly reached out its head, moving its nose closer and closer to the village chief’s hand.

There was a silence that hung there in the air as the two of them moved closer until the deer’s nose pressed up against the village chief’s palm.

The two of them stood in silence as they looked at each other.

With the way that they were looking at each other, it was almost as if they were communicating with each other without words. It was almost as if they were somehow creating a bond between each other.

After a long period of silence, the village chief’s hand came up and he petted the deer on the head.

The deer just allowed the village chief to do this while also moving its head to nuzzle up against his hand.

It seemed that the two of them had reconciled and had become closer to each other.

All of the villagers had confused and surprised looks when they saw this.

The chiefs of the other villages looked at the villagers of this village as if they were asking if their village chief had some kind of special ability. After all, it wasn’t as if just anyone could tame a spirit beast like this.

But the villagers just shook their heads since they knew that their village chief didn’t have this ability at all.

They were a normal village in the middle of nowhere, it was impossible for the village chief to have this kind of ability.
