As we were heading back to the village, I made sure to ask the spirit beasts a few things.

The title that I received also allowed me to communicate with them, though most of the spirit beasts only spoke in simple words in the first place. It seemed that their intelligence wasn’t developed enough to converse normally.

Still, that was enough for me.

With the help of the spirit beasts, I was able to find the things that I had been worried about.

I was able to find the spirit beasts that I had missed.

There were some spirit beasts that were just like the mother bear and the bear cubs that had been corrupted by the Demonic Beast Cultivator and were wandering around freely. If they had been left alone, there was no knowing what kind of destruction they would have done in the end.

So we were able to find all of the ones that the spirit beasts knew about and took care of them with a simple spray from my trusty spray bottle.

The system didn’t take it back after I had finished the mission, so it could be considered an extra reward from the system. I had seen the power of this spray bottle, so I knew just how powerful it could be.

I didn’t know what the full extent of the power of this spray bottle was, but it didn’t seem like it was anywhere close to running out of potion to spray.

This would certainly be a useful item in the future.

With all of these spirit beasts, we made our way back to the first village where the village chiefs and villagers were waiting for us.

However, when we arrived at the village...

"The spirit beasts are back!"

"Look at how many there are! They’re going to destroy our village!"

"We need to run! We need to at least save the women and children!"

There were some villagers that picked up weapons as if they wanted to at least go out fighting. There were some villagers that started running away with their loved ones, as if they wanted to get as far away as possible while they still could.

It seemed that we had caused a panic by bringing these spirit beasts with us without sending someone ahead to explain the situation.

So I quickly sent the lackeys to explain the situation to the village.

I would have gone myself, but as soon as I stepped forward, the spirit beasts seemed like they were going to follow me. If I were to go into the village like this, there was no doubt that it would cause even more chaos.

The only thing that I could really do was wait for the lackeys to bring the village chiefs to me.

After a while, the village seemed to have settled down and the lackeys came out with the village chiefs.

It was clear by the looks on their faces that they seemed terrified.

As for what they were terrified of...it was naturally the large wave of spirit beasts that were waiting outside of their village. Even if they were trying to act cute to win my affection, it still didn’t help since all the villagers could see were terrifying spirit beasts.

It was only when they saw me standing in front of the spirit beasts that they finally calmed down.

I didn’t know why I had this kind of effect on them, but it seemed useful at least.

The village chiefs quickly came over to my side and to my surprise, they grabbed my hand to say, "Young master, let’s get out of here. It’s dangerous to be in a place like this."

They were actually concerned about me even though it was clear that I was the center of attention for the spirit beasts. It was clear that I was the one that they were trying to get affection from.

What the village chiefs did actually incited some hostility from the spirit beasts as they thought that the village chiefs were trying to steal me away from them. So the spirit beasts started looking at the village chiefs with angry looks.

When the village chiefs saw this, they all had terrified looks on their faces and they no longer dared to move.

I just shook my head with a helpless smile when I saw all of them like this.

I really didn’t know what to say about this.

But eventually I had to say something.

With a sigh, I said, "Don’t worry, there’s no danger here." 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶

The village chiefs looked at me with a confused look when they heard this.

I turned to the spirit beasts and said, "They are under my control, so there’s nothing for you to worry about." At that, I raised my hand and waved it around a bit while giving a few orders.

The spirit beasts immediately started following the orders that I gave them.

When I told them to sit, they sat down on the ground.

When I told them to stand, they stood up as tall as they could.

When I told them to play dead, all of them suddenly fell to the ground and acted like they were dead.

There was no hesitation at all from the spirit beasts as they obeyed my orders.

The village chiefs had very strange looks on their faces when they saw all of this.

There was still a part of them that didn’t want to believe what I had just said, but there was a larger part of them that couldn’t deny the things that they were seeing. When the facts had been placed in front of them like this, they had no choice but to accept it.

Though it did take them some time to accept these facts.

The village chiefs looked on in a daze at the spirit beasts that were performing these tasks.

That was until the village chief of this village suddenly asked, "Young master, what did you bring all of these spirit beasts to our village for?"

Hearing this, I revealed a faint smile.
