VRMMO: World's First Glyphborne-Chapter 133: Exit Pursued by a Blonde
Valerie eyes drifted aimlessly between this gorgeous goddess of a woman and her fake smile, Percy’s face that was twisted with disgust and anger, and the hand that was resting on his shoulder as she practically fondled him.
Percy quickly pulled her hand off of him, using only two fingers in the process as if it was infectious, and made no effort to hide his discomfort and disgust which only confused Valerie more.
She could only assume that they were close with how handsy the girl was being, but his reaction spoke way differently.
"What do you want Kaleigh? Can’t you see we are having a conversation here?"
"Oh come now Princey, Don’t be like that~" She cooed, putting on a hurt pout as she sat down in the free chair between them. Her body completely facing Percy as she crossed her legs and rubbed one foot against his leg.
Despite all of her strange behaviour, Valerie was focused on this woman’s face. She was just too familiar. That irritating, baby talk voice that was trying to be cute, the glamorous blonde hair with the curls and the way this woman held herself as if she was a gift to all men.
The answer was on the tip of her tongue but she just couldn’t place it.
So while Percy was growing in anger and ready to burst, Valerie leaned forwards and quickly asked,
"Sorry, I feel like I know you from somewhere. Have we met before?"
The woman, Kaleigh, looked over her shoulder before giving Valerie a once over with a look of ridicule in her eyes. Her fake smile turned to a real one that was dripping with condescension as she chuckled,
"Us? No. Definitely not. But that’s just the feeling you get when you meet with someone famous. I am the fabulous LusciousLox, you’ve heard of me." She stated as if it was a fact, flipping her hair over her shoulder and raising her head as if she was waiting for gasps of amazement or an applause.
Instead, she heard Valerie stifle a laugh before saying, "Oh right, her. Sorry, last time I saw you, you were burning to a crisp. So I guess I had a hard time recognising you."
Kaleigh’s face immediately scrunched up in annoyance as she whipped her head towards Valerie, glaring daggers at her as if she was ready to pounce at her and claw her face off with her fake nails for even mentioning that.
It was an incident that had utterly humiliated her in front of countless people, even more so since some creep had decided to record the part where she was attacked by the demon. Naturally, she had made a post detailing her side of the event, adding in an attack from Belladonna and crafting the narrative perfectly to place herself not just as innocent, but as the true victim of the situation.
Stating that she just wanted to play for vibes and fun, but this wicked player Belladonna kept harassing and killing her constantly. Saying that she went to the library for peace and quiet, only to be followed and assaulted there too, and then when she tried to get help that witch played the victim and got her in trouble.
It was a wonderful statement that immediately stirred the hearts of her fans and sent them into full defensive mode, giving them the perfect things to reply to hate comments with and the passion to mass report any of the videos that got posted until they were taken down.
The worst part about it was not the humiliation, however. It was the death itself. Full incineration left nothing but dust.
It did not only destroy her gear, which her fans had so graciously donated to her - a fact that she made extra sure to mention in her tear filled video statement so that she got even more donations to cover for the damages and more - but she had also lost her body.
No body to recover meant all of her stats were permanently lowered, but her level stayed the same making it nearly impossible to regain herself to her previous level.
She vowed to herself that if she ever found out who that vile woman was, that she would completely and utterly ruin her life for what she had done. That was the very least of what she deserved.
And if she accidentally released that identity and her fans took some actions into their own hands to defend her honour and get some justice for what that vile woman had done. Well... Kaleigh would make sure to give them a stern talking to afterwards.
But honestly, She couldn’t exactly be held responsible for what her fans did, now could she? It was truly the perfect excuse.
Imagining all the living hell she would create for Belladonna, Kaleigh brushed her trademark luscious locks from her face and smiled warmly at Valerie, completely unaware that the woman she was looking for what right in front of her.
"Well that was the result of a terrible, hateful act. You can hear all about it in my latest video, you should totally check it out." She said with a professional smile, giving Valerie a playful wink, before whipping her head back around to face Percy. Completely ignoring Valerie’s existence once again, and even whipping her in the face with those luscious locks of hair when she turned.
"Anyways my dear prince," She said in a soft, babied tone, as if she thought that being a child was somehow seductive and what Percy wanted, as she placed her hand over his.
"I’m sowwy to interrupt your little meet and greet with this brave little charity girl, but I just couldn’t wait to see you. I wanted to talk about-"
Percy yanked his hands away from hers, complete and utter disgust and discontent on his face as he quickly stood up from his chair. His reaction was so sudden and so serious, that it actually surprised Valerie. She had never seen him like this.
It was like a totally different person had taken over the happy goofball that she knew.
"It’s fine." He said bluntly before gesturing to Valerie, "We were just leaving. Come on."
Valerie glanced between them in slight shock before nodding her head quickly, wheeling herself backwards and then out of the coffee shop with Percy following close behind, leaving Kaleigh sitting at the table all by herself.
She let out a wistful sigh, her eyes hungrily looking over Percy as he left. Once he was out of sight, her eyes drifted down to the half empty coffee cup that he had left. A strange smile spread across her glossy lips as she lifted the cup up and eagerly took a long, slow sip before letting out a sigh of pleasure.
