Void Cultivation-Chapter 173- The Foundation Establishment Realm

Very soon, Grey felt his power in the Eleventh level begin to climb up until it reached the ceiling, the threshold that divided Qi Accumulation realm cultivators from Foundation Establishment experts. As his spirit energy thickened and his entire existence skyrocketed through the roof, Grey felt that all he needed to do to attain Foundation Establishment was to break through that barrier, and he would enter the Foundation Establishment realm.

But although that sounded simple in real life, it was very hard in reality. Other cultivators prepared for this moment. They planned, they stockpiled, they protected themselves.

Grey didn’t get that luxury. His body was at its limit, trembling, cracking, threatening to collapse. If he stopped now, everything would fall apart. If he failed, his path would end here. But for Grey, turning back wasn’t even an option. Not when his siblings were still out there somewhere. Not when his own memories had been stolen from him. He would either rise to Foundation Establishment... or die trying.

But the chasm that Grey felt divided Qi Accumulation realm from the Foundation Establishment was just to large that it could not even be measured in words. Grey felt that if he tried to rush at the barrier, his power would gradually begin to fall until he would miss his chance to enter Foundation Establishment, and when he missed his chance to attain Foundation Establishment, Grey felt that he could no longer try again.

’Luckily, I have the Golden Syrup and the Soul pill that Ange gave to me. At most, breaking through that barrier... should not be too hard.’ He said inwardly as his energy continued to steadily climb until it reached the roof of Qi Accumulation. At that instant, Grey’s body could no longer contain the amount of Spirit energy in his body, the only outlet which he could let it out was to break through.

While at the same time that this happened, Grey felt that the barrier between Foundation Establishment and Qi Accumulation get even nearer.

So, with a quick gesture of his hand, he swiped the gourd that lay before him and took one large gulp as he prepared for what was to come. The moment after that happened, Grey’s pupils widened as a large influx of Spirit energy and Corrosive substance begin to seep into his body from his pores. Grey did not even need to breathe in to absorb spirit energy because he felt his skin open up and begin to swallow all the spirit energy around him.

And as this happened, Grey’s spirit energy and aura completely went through the roof and hit the ceiling dividing the Qi Accumulation realm and the Foundation Establishment realm.

Grey’s entire body and spirit sea shook as he collided against the barrier, but not even a single crack formed on the metaphysical barrier, yet Grey felt that his power after that collision had drained him of a lot of energy. Blood ran down the side of his lips, but when he thought about his siblings that were taken away, his memories that were erased without his knowledge, and his helplessness to it all, he gritted his teeth and without an ounce of hesitation on his face, he swallowed down several mouthfuls of Golden Syrup and tried again.

’Bang!’

A muffled bang rang out in Grey’s body as he collided against the barrier again. Grey’s body trembled slightly, but he did not stop hitting the barrier. As his siblings faces flashed through his eyes, he tried again...Two times, five times, thirteen times...

At the fourteenth time, Grey had drank more than half of the of the Golden Syrup. His eyes were bloodshot. Blood continuously trickled down the side of his lips, while his spirit energy continued to shot through the roof and attack the next plane... and he slammed against the barrier once again.

But although the barrier shook intensely, it was still intact. However, Grey could feel that after one or more collisions, he would completely set foot into the Foundation Establishment realm.

At that moment, something that he had read in a Jade Slip resurfaced in his mind.

"What do i desire o blue sky? I desire to know my past ,I desire to know my memories that were stolen... I desire to find my siblings." It was at that moment that Grey finally knew what those words meant. Although they were not the exact same words in the Jade slip, they emitted the same feeling and message.

Suddenly, a sorrow entered Grey’s heart. His spirit energy fluctuations had dulled a bit, Grey did not drink anymore of the Golden Syrup and rammed into the barrier once more with the sorrow in his heart and the remnant energy within him. And then...

’Catcha!’

A sound like glass was breaking echoed all over in Grey’s ears. His spirit energy that was dulled began to heat up until it became something that surpassed normal spirit energy.

The sorrow in Grey’s heart began to slowly disappear as a bright glint slowly appeared in his eyes. "Cultivation is about breaking through one’s mortal limits and ascending to the divine. But up to now... I’ve always wondered why we ascended to the divine, now I know."

At the same time that Grey said this in his mind, the purple crystal began to react. Thick purple lines which networked all over Grey’s body and started from his forehead began to appear all over his body. If Grey was conscious of what was currently happening to his body, he would be shocked because even his hair had changed from Grey to purple and was floating behind him without any wind. And his eyes which were once grey and gloomy had a purple mysterious glow in them that would make you feel like you were staring at an emperor. In fact, one could even see a faint hazy illusion of a purple moon behind him even though it was daytime.

The world gradually became dark as the purple moon arose and spilled purple moonlight all over Grey and even gave him a purple glow that transformed into a cloak of purple. As Roxanne turned to look at Grey, she felt purple moonlight spill onto her. In shock, she saw Grey’s hair turn purple and float behind him with the absence of wind, his eyes which were shut tightly still emitted a purple glow and a hazy cloak made of purple moonlight around him. The purple glow around him made the purple moon which hung over him to appear mysterious and full of domineeringness.

Slowly, but steadily, Grey’s aura began to increase. From the Peak of Qi Accumulation to the threshold of Foundation Establishment until he finally broke through. 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮

But even after breaking through, the amount of Spirit energy needed to consolidate his realm was so staggering that all his spirit energy that had turned bright and radiant began to be sucked away until Grey’s meridians became dry.

Hesitatingly, Grey brought out a small wooden box from his storage bag. His gaze was so focused on it that he didn’t notice the purple moonlight that spilled all over him and turned into a cloak that wrapped around his figure, he also didn’t notice his purple hair that floated behind him and the purple moon behind his back.

As he opened the wooden box, a strong medicinal fragrance wafted into his nose along with spirit energy fluctuations that signified the Initial stages of Foundation Establishment.
