Chapter 92: Losing Consciousness

Lily was at the party too, her orange hair a fiery beacon amid the crowd, but we ignored each other pointedly—her porcelain glare sliding past me like I was beneath notice.

The third male lead, Ryan Lightwood, lounged beside her in a crisp tuxedo, his sharp jaw set indifferent; they seemed to have arrived together, but thankfully, Ryan just spared me a cool once-over before dismissing me entirely.

I sat perched on a velvet chaise while Ivory mingled with guests—her black suit commanding attention, laughter booming from her circle.

My sapphire gown pooled elegant around my thickened thighs, chignon sleek, diamonds cool against my skin, but tension coiled tight in my chest.

Suddenly, my emerald eyes caught a male omega across the room—one with warm hazel eyes crinkling in shy laughter, lithe muscles rippling under sun-kissed skin, a scent of fresh rain and honey wafting faint but intoxicating, begging to be claimed. There’s my dream omega.

But unlike before, it stirred nothing in me—no pull, no thoughts, just hollow curiosity.

His gaze locked on mine, hazel eyes twisting from warmth to pure hatred. He stormed over, lithe frame cutting through silk-clad elites, stopping inches from my seat with fists clenched.

"Emily, right?" His voice dripped venom, rain-honey scent souring sharp.

I nodded cautious, full lips parting. "Yes."

"What’s your relationship with Ivory?"

"What do you mean?" My chignon bobbed as I straightened, gown whispering.

"You’re her date." Accusation laced his tone, hazel eyes flashing jealous fire.

"I’m just her friend. And she just invited me here to accompany her."

"You’re lying! She just danced with you—intimate, close!"

"Mr...?"

"Urien. Son of the Farlok Spices owner." He puffed up, sun-kissed chest heaving under his open-collar shirt. "You can’t fight against my own company."

"Yes, Mr. Urien... if that’s what you say, but I can’t understand your words!" I insisted, emerald eyes wide, diamonds glinting frantic.

"Fuck you! Does Ivory like you?!"

"Listen to me—"

"Fuck up!" His palm cracked across my cheek—stinging fire blooming instant, head snapping sideways. Wine from his glass followed, icy red cascade drenching my face, matting my chignon, soaking the sapphire gown’s bodice translucent against my curves, rivulets tracing cold down my cleavage.

Gasps rippled through the crowd like dominoes. Ivory barrelled in furious, shoving Urien aside with alpha force—his lithe body stumbling back. "How dare you?!"

Urien yelled, hazel eyes wild. "I like you! You can’t like her!"

"I don’t like anyone—don’t spread rumours," Ivory snarled, suit straining over tensed biceps, chili pheromones flaring protectively.

"Then why bring her?!" Urien yelled. His eyes held craziness in them as if he wanted to tear me apart.

"She is my friend. Remember—I’ll never like you." Ivory’s voice brooked no argument, brown eyes steel. "If you ever touch her again, I won’t show mercy on you."

Tears welled hot in my eyes, spilling crimson-streaked down my slapped cheek.

Across the room, Lily watched with open disdain, porcelain lips curled smug—who gave her the right? Humiliation crashed over me like a wave; I bolted, sapphire skirts tangling as I fled the hall, Ivory calling after— "Emily, wait!"—her voice lost in the murmurs.

I ran blind through marble corridors, heels clacking frantic, until my right stiletto snapped—ankle twisting vicious as I pitched forward, slamming knees-first onto cold tile. 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖

Pain lanced up my legs, gown pooling ruined around me, wine dripping from soaked raven strands. Why is everything going wrong? I’m confused about my gender; my dream omega saw me as a rival and attacked—and now...

My body ignited sudden, unnatural—skin prickling fire from crown to soles, a deep, twisting heat blooming vicious in my core and radiating outward like molten iron poured through veins.

I scratched at my neck frantic, nails raking olive skin raw, raising welts that burned triple—each drag igniting fresh agony, like acid etching bone.

Vision blurred to smeared halos—chandeliers fracturing into blinding starbursts, corridor walls warping liquid, Ivory’s distant shouts dissolving to muffled roar.

Drool slipped unbidden from my parted lips, thick and hot, trailing glossy down my chin to mingle with wine tears, jaw slackening as muscles seized.

Then the pain hit—sharp, shattering, a full-body convulsion ripping through me like lightning forking every nerve—ribs contracting brutal to steal breath, spine arching rigid as vertebrae ground fire, thighs cramping iron-hard, skull pounding with each heartbeat like hammers on glass.

I curled in a foetal position on the tile, gown sodden, diamonds scattering loose from my chignon as raven waves spilled wild—gasping, clawing, world dissolving to white-hot torment.

My consciousness frayed at the edges, slipping like sand through numb fingers—world narrowing to fractured pulses of agony, tile cold and unyielding beneath my curled form, sapphire gown soddened and twisted around spasming thighs.

What’s happening? Voices blurred distant, footsteps echoing warped through the haze; strong arms scooped me up sudden, cradling my quivering weight bridal-style.

I flailed weak, palms shoving feebly at a chest—was it Ivory’s suit wool? Or Lily’s silk cruelty? Shapes swam indistinct, faces melting to shadows.

"I-Ivory...?" I slurred, voice a broken rasp, emerald eyes rolling glassy, tears carving salty tracks through wine-mascara smears on my cheeks.

"It... h-hurts..." The words clawed out guttural, each syllable stabbing my throat raw, ribs seizing tighter like iron bands crushing lungs.

"It... h-h-hurts too much..." I whimpered final, nails scraping useless at the arms holding me—vision tunnelling black, chignon unravelling fully into damp raven tangles over my face.

"Please... h-h-help me..."

Eyelids drooped heavy, unresisting, as darkness swallowed whole—consciousness shattering into void, body limp and scorching in unknown arms.

Note: This marks the end of the first season. Don’t worry, the next Chapter will come soon. After this, Emily will realize the truth about her real gender. Omega, that’s what she is. So, thank you for the patience as some people would say that she is too foolish and deluded.

Thank you for the stones, tickets and gifts. Also, throw them at my face as much as you can.
