Chapter 76: 72 Spiritual Food

With a flash of anger, Wang Jian slapped Li Liping’s rear. The sound was especially loud.

SMACK!

Wang Jian hadn’t hit her hard, but the crisp sound truly resonated. He couldn’t tell if it was just his imagination, but he thought he even heard an echo in the kitchen.

"Ouch..."

After that, Li Liping’s voice became especially soft. When she turned back, Wang Jian saw that her face was full of hurt, like a bullied child’s, yet her eyes unmistakably conveyed a desire for more.

Wang Jian cursed under his breath; the woman was completely untrustworthy. He had started to feel sorry for her, but then he immediately heard her say, "Daddy, can we do it again?"

She was practically asking for it. Who could possibly stand this?

In truth, Li Liping’s original intentions had been quite simple. After her chat with Xu Qian that night, she had already decided to give up on Wang Jian and return to her normal life. She figured she would find a time to make things clear with him, which would also void the Zhang family’s request. Her reasons were the same as the ones Xu Qian initially had for wanting to give up. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

But, as she would soon find out, plans rarely go as anticipated. Just yesterday, after being knocked out by Wang Xiang, she had woken up in bed to the sight of Wang Jian and Xu Qian embracing.

The sight had stirred up a storm inside her, and it was then that Li Liping realized something within her felt very wrong.

When she saw Wang Jian and Xu Qian return together today, she instantly noticed something was off between them, a discovery that made her feel even more unsettled.

What exactly do I feel for Wang Jian?

Li Liping couldn’t say for sure, though she had asked herself this question countless times throughout the day.

If she truly liked him, why would she risk her life to protect her love rival?

Pondering this puzzle, Li Liping reached a conclusion: her feelings for Wang Jian probably weren’t love. Looking at the whole picture, it was more like the feeling of having a favorite toy that someone else suddenly started playing with. It was jealousy, but not the kind born from love.

Li Liping genuinely relished the thrilling sensation her interactions with Wang Jian provoked—a feeling she had never experienced before. Yet, it was this very uniqueness that had given rise to some very special emotions within her heart.

She particularly enjoyed walking by the river. It wasn’t whether her shoes got wet that she cared about; what she liked was the thrill of knowing they might. She liked watching how Wang Jian behaved when they were on the verge of being discovered, liked hearing his cries, and liked casually pushing his limits.

That day at the Zhang family’s home, after she had pushed him to his limit, the sudden burst of dominance he unleashed had also fascinated her. Typically, all she felt from Wang Jian was gentleness and consideration, with no trace of such assertiveness.

Now, Wang Jian was exuding that same aura again, and Li Liping was experiencing it once more.

In that instant, she could no longer hold back.

Just one more time would be good, she thought.

It was the first time Wang Jian had ever heard such an outrageous request. He took a deep breath and crisply delivered another slap.

Another sharp SMACK echoed through the kitchen.

Li Liping bit her lip, letting out a muffled groan before falling silent, trying her best to endure it. But a moment later, she realized Wang Jian hadn’t continued. She quickly looked back, her face wearing that same expression again.

"One more time~~"

"Just once, okay?"

That same line again. Wang Jian would have to be a complete fool to believe her.

And so, the kitchen began to fill with crisp sounds, mingling with the hissing of the pressure cooker.

With each successive slap, the simple, sharp sting transformed into a hot, tingling numbness. While it had nothing to do with pleasure, the pain was mixed with a strange kind of enjoyment she had never experienced before.

Seeing her in this state, an idea suddenly struck Wang Jian.

From out of nowhere, Wang Jian produced a silver needle and swiftly plunged it into Li Liping’s waist.

In that single moment, Li Liping’s tightly shut eyes shot wide open in disbelief, as if she were at the epicenter of an earthquake.

The next second, without any further movement from Wang Jian, Li Liping’s entire body began to tremble, her legs and abdomen shaking violently. Her legs kept parting and closing, and she found it difficult to simply remain standing.

None of this was under her control. Her eyes had already begun to roll back into her head.

"AH!"

She had no idea how it started. It was so sudden. After a faint, sharp prick, she felt as if she’d been electrocuted. A numbing sensation spread rapidly from the point of insertion throughout her entire body, and an even more intense wave of stimulation surged upward, striking her most sensitive areas directly.

The feeling came on swiftly, but it was so exquisitely comfortable that her whole body began to tremble uncontrollably.

A moment later, Li Liping could no longer support herself. If she hadn’t reached out in time to brace herself against Wang Jian, she would have collapsed to the ground.

This was absolutely the first time Li Liping had ever experienced something like this. With a look of confusion and astonishment, she whispered, "What’s happening? What... what did you do to me?"

She was still disoriented, feeling both pleasure and fear. This man was like a magician; he had done practically nothing, yet he had sent her straight to the heavens. If he were to actually do something, she might be sent flying into outer space.

How terrifying!

Li Liping turned her head and, for the first time, noticed the silver needle in her back. "What is this?"

Before Wang Jian could answer, Li Liping propped up her weakened body and reached out to touch the silver needle, ignoring his attempts to stop her.

With just that light touch, she again felt a jolt of electricity spread from the needle. In an instant, she relived the entire sensation.

This time, she truly couldn’t stay on her feet. She screamed, nearly fainting from the sheer pleasure.

"AH...!"

It was an unsuppressed cry, loud enough not only for Ren Yu and Xu Qian in the other room but for passersby on the street to hear.

Wang Jian hurriedly clapped a hand over Li Liping’s mouth, but it was too late. Someone in the other room called out.

"What happened?"

It was Xu Qian’s voice, and Ren Yu’s followed a second later. "What’s going on?"

The sound of approaching footsteps signaled someone was coming. Wang Jian and Li Liping instantly broke apart. Her body weak, Li Liping nearly fell, only managing to steady herself by grabbing the edge of the stove. Wang Jian wasn’t faring much better. He seized the opportunity to remove the silver needle and found a stool to sit on.

He had just sat down when Ren Yu burst in. She looked around frantically, her face tense, then rushed to Li Liping’s side. "What’s wrong? What’s wrong?"

Ren Yu noticed Li Liping was unsteady on her feet. "Can’t you stand?"

"Um..." Li Liping nodded, shot a glare at Wang Jian, and then said, "I feel a bit anemic."

Ren Yu breathed a sigh of relief. "Is it that time of the month?"

Li Liping’s face flushed, but she could only force herself to say, "I think so. It’s no big deal. But the food is ready. Can you help take it into the other room? It’s too hot in here."

Li Liping’s forehead was covered in sweat, as was Wang Jian’s. Ren Yu even noticed a small wet spot on the floor not far from Li Liping and remarked, "It really is hot. It’s better to eat in the air-conditioned room. You two are drenched in sweat. Hurry up and go inside."

The kitchen was filled with the rich aroma of food, so Ren Yu couldn’t smell anything else.

As for the wet spot on the floor, Li Liping was mortified. Wang Jian, however, was fighting the urge to laugh. This is the first time I’ve ever seen someone actually gush like that, he thought. A real eye-opener.
