Versatile System-Chapter 43: Harem unlocked
Mia looked at how Trevor struggled to keep his composure, and she couldn’t help but smile.
Looking at him now, she was suddenly reminded of the day she had married his father.
Trevor’s birth mother had died in a tragic accident during a dangerous dungeon mission a year before Mia met his father.
Mia could still remember the very first day she stepped into their house. Trevor had been so young back then, stuttering slightly every time he tried to speak to her.
It was a lovely memory that she cherished deeply.
"You know what? Let’s just have dinner,"
Trevor finally said, trying to regain his calm.
He didn’t want to lose his cool any further in front of her.
With that being taking care of.
He settled into his seat and began to eat.
The meal was wonderful, perfectly cooked and full of flavor.
It reminded Trevor of the good old days when they lived in a lavish house and could afford to have several different dishes on the table at once.
Such nice memories but now he was stuck to this life although not for long atleast.
Trevor let out a quiet sigh as he ate. He felt a surge of resolve. He was definitely going to change this corrupt government and bring back the life they used to share.
They ate in silence, but the peace Trevor felt while sitting with his mother was incredibly reassuring.
The only sound in the room was the light clinking of cutlery against the plates. But yet that sound was all the assurance he needed of his mother’s company.
Trevor felt a pang of guilt for missing their previous meal together; they hadn’t shared a dinner like this in years.
Once they were finished, Trevor thanked Mia and cleared the table.
Mia headed back to her room with a bright smile on her face, feeling comforted.
Trevor quickly finished the dishes and hurried to his own room. He had a lot of work to do tonight.
Almost immediately he got to his room, he pulled out a thick book on Ancient Magic from his bag and became completely engrossed in his studies.
To Trevor, Ancient Magic was far superior to the Modern Magic taught today. In Modern Magic, a person’s power is strictly confined to their "essence."
But in Ancient Magic, your essence is merely your trump card—not your entire limit.
This explained why a student like Chloe appeared weak. In reality, her fireballs should have been the weakest in the class because her natural essence was water-wielding.
However, if she were using Ancient Magic, there would be no limit to how much fire she could produce or control.
Modern Magic requires a specific essence; Ancient Magic requires the knowledge of how to wield and master magic and mana itself.
Despite its power, the government had banned Ancient Magic long ago.
Trevor sat up and closed the book, having reached the halfway point. He couldn’t help but wonder why such a genius technique would be outlawed.
The answer seemed obvious to him: the government didn’t want anyone to become strong enough to surpass them.
Suddenly remembering his progress throughout the day, Trevor called out to his System.
A light blue interface shimmered into existence right in front of him.
[STATUS WINDOW]
* Name: Trevor
* Level: 4 (+8)
* Libido: 21 (+10)
* Strength: 18 (+24)
* Agility: 15 (+17)
* Stamina: 25 (+21)
* Magic: 16 (+20)
* Lust Essence: 450 / 1000 (+2000)
* Charm / Charisma: MAX (Tier 1)
System point: 5+20
Trevor smacked at the system points yes he had been unlocking new cards every day but who could ever think that he actually needed system points to unlock on improve each card
So he theoretically can’t access any other cards in his libary apart from the lust raider, whispering shadows and eyes of hades
But this finally brought a new light with 25 system points he need just 5 more to finally update or infact unlock yet another card.
But that aside he accessed the rest of the status
The boosts were massive, exactly as Trevor had hoped.
His Lust Essence had first appeared after his fight with Levi, and while it had limited his card usage before, it hadn’t been a major issue yet.
Still, an increase of 2,000 was a remarkable jump that would surely help during his future dungeon trials and raids.
After verifying his status bar trevor calmly waited for the wall of notifications to stop.
’52 notifications? That’s wild,’ Trevor thought.
He scrolled through them quickly. Most were just standard alerts about his level increases, but one specific message caught his eye.
> [CONGRATULATIONS: You have unlocked your personal harem count]
> To add a woman to your Harem, you must have an intimate encounter with her at least twice. Currently, you have one member: Chloe. The more members you gather, the stronger you will become and the greater your rewards will be.
> Note: If a member remains inactive for too long, they will be automatically removed from the list.
And also you are not allowed to use cards of any sorts to entice or get them to do it for the second time if not it wouldn’t count
Trevor’s eyes widened in shock as he read the details.
While he didn’t fully understand the math behind how his harem would make him stronger, he was determined to gather more members.
He was sure he would discover the true power of this feature soon enough.
He closed the alert and opened the Lust Radar section.
He was curious about the strength of the women he had encountered today, specifically Emily and Miss Silvia.
He was especially interested in Emily’s stats. While Miss Silvia was a teacher and likely above average, Emily was a bit of a mystery.
She was great in person, but in this world, raw strength was what truly mattered. He opened Emily’s page first.
After scanning her stats, he nodded in approval.
He was impressed. She was a fire wielder, but her true essence was the Blazing Dragon Cascade.
Trevor shook his head in amazement. It made sense now why she was the daughter of a top official; an essence that balanced Ancient and Modern Magic was incredibly rare.
For now, she could only use the power of fire dragons, but with enough mastery, she would eventually be able to summon them.
The thought alone was terrifying.
Satisfied Trevor finally decided to open Miss Silvia’s stats.
The moment the information appeared, he froze.
He was shocked down to his very core.
He quickly refreshed the screen, thinking it might be a glitch, but the information didn’t change.
His heart began to beat faster and faster with every passing second, but the data remained there, staring him right in the face.
