Jaehyun’s POV

The new information about Sehwa only adds to the disdain I already have for her and doubles the hatred my alpha has always had for her.

The door slowly gives in to my push and I find Yujun sitting on the edge of the bed with his back hunched and his smell heavy in the air with sadness.

"Are you okay?" I ask softly, as the ice around my heart melts away to tend to the omega I love.

"I’m okay...what is wrong?" he asks, having a guarded look on his face, a look that wasn’t there when I left him.

"Can you step out?" I ask and he nods; he has on my hoodie and looks so soft and devastated that I hate to present bad news to him like this...but the longer it goes unsolved, the worse it would be.

"Let’s go" I say as we both walk to the study my father doesn’t use.

I open the door and gesture for him to go in first.

"Yunah?" he calls the second he sees his sister and the siblings meet in the middle for a hug.

"Oppa" Yunah sobs and holds her brother tightly while I stand behind them, ready to burn the world if they ask.

Yujun holds her head and rubs his face into her neck, then his nose against hers and I see, she might be his little sister, but she is also his pup.

"What is going on? Why is my sister here?" Yujun asks, holding his sister like he is shielding her from me...what happened when I was gone?

The behavior of distrust towards me makes my alpha growl and Yujun flashes his blue eyes, a warning.

Guiltily, I run my fingers through my hair and bow my head, an action an alpha should never do to an omega, but I don’t care, Yujun is not just an omega.

"I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to..." I say and Taeho scoffs from the corner where he is leaning against a wooden table.

"I’m sorry" I say to Yujun again and he nods at me without a response.

I sigh at my fuck up then I proceed to explain the reason for this meeting.

"We needed to have this meeting for a common enemy that needs to be...silenced" I say, censoring the real word I am dying to use, I want to kill her.

"A common enemy?" Yujun asks.

"Yoon Sehwa" Yunah says the name softly and my alpha huffs.

"Your fiancé?" Yujun asks looking to me, "Yunah’s mate?".

"A bloody liar" I say and Taeho stands up abruptly, "I will walk out that door if anyone talks like that about her" he says and I give a look that makes him sit again.

"Taeho" I call his name, "Sehwa is not what she seems, she has been deceiving us all along" I say and the alpha growls at me fiercely in disagreement.

"Just because some..." Taeho starts.

"She almost killed me" I say and he shuts up, "What?"

"Brother, she lied about everything" I say and his shoulders drop.

"She came to me during my rut asking me to help her...she knows every first rut comes with lack of control, I would have raped her, and the case would be something entirely different" I say.

The tension in the room doubles.

Me versus Sehwa.

Taeho staring with disbelief.

"She lied about being kidnapped by the Choi and abused by them...she wasn’t" I say, exposing the newest detail I found out through Yunah.

"That time frame, our clan was in war with Jeongs and focused on them, Jeongs is an all-male clan, no omegas was kidnapped, Oppa...right?" Yunah looks to her brother to confirm it.

"Yes..." Yujun responds with a dazed look, he himself slowly digesting the information. "I also asked my father’s secretary and there was no such thing in that time frame" she says.

"B-but..." Taeho stutters.

"Taeho, the house fire wasn’t an accident" I say, my vision growing dark around the edges at the mention of the incident.

I take a deep breath and continue.

"Sehwa set the house on fire with me inside" I say, pushing through the light headiness the incident always brings.

"This is hard to believe" Taeho says with both his hands on his head, "This...the Sehwa we grew up with..." he says and I almost roar at him for still holding on to shadows.

"She changed" I snap at him, angry at him for the slowness, at the same time worried about how he is taking the information.

"Her change is causing damages I will no longer accept" I say with the authority of a pack alpha and Taeho lifts his head.

"What do you mean...?" he asks.

"Sehwa deceived and mated Yunah" I say and Yujun sits up straighter, "omegas can’t mate omegas" Taeho rebuts and I nod.

"It is confirmed, Sehwa is an alpha masquerading as an omega" I say and Taeho shakes his head.

"How is that possible? She...she presented and had her heat..." he says, gesturing to the door like its Sehwa. 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖

"Were you there during the heat?" I ask with a smirk and tilt of my head and he goes quiet, "shit" he says.

I look to Yujun who has his arms wrapped around his sister, my omega’s eyes are still fierce blue, I want to hug him and tell him everything will be fine...but I don’t...not yet.

"The newest damage she has caused is publishing a news that a Hwang forced himself on Choi’s last daughter" I announce the news that forced this meeting to take place.

"That is going to incite a clan war, we have to get her punished by the Head council" Yujun says angrily and I nod.

Always the sane one.

No one knows how many times I have ripped Sehwa’s pretty head off her neck to keep my raging alpha calm or how many times I have set her on fire...

"The head council? That’s too much" Taeho says while shaking his head.

"What she has done is too much! marking me just to spite Jaehyun oppa is too much" Yunah says, holding back the tears that had been streaming nonstop since she told me the news.

"And she has been an alpha disguising as an omega to damage innocent people" I add and Taeho slaps the table he is sitting on angrily charging at me.

"If we go by the same logic then Yujun also has to be judged" he says to me, baring his teeth as he speaks and his eyes turning red.

Before I can speak, Yujun comes between us and looks Taeho in the eyes.

"Why are you defending her so much even after seeing everything?" Yujun asks that one question and Taeho’s anger flickers briefly.

"She’s my friend and you’re a fucking stranger who just got here yesterday" Taeho spits in Yujun’s face and Yujun gives him a punch.

"Fuck" I say and immediately get between them to stop the fight.

"It’s enough, please" Yunah says from behind them, holding her brother’s shoulder.

"Yah stranger, don’t think you’re special, you’re nothing!" Taeho shouts angrily, his alpha eyes shining, and I hold him back to stop him from attacking in this state.

"You will return to your clan and Jaehyun will stay with his, don’t think Jaehyun will throw his first love like that" he says and I shake him.

"Stop it" I order but he doesn’t, "at the end of the day Hwangs and Chois are still enemies, and Sehwa?...she remains one of ours".

"Yunah, let’s go home" I hear Yujun say and he sounds...defeated. Like he’s accepting it.

"Fuck..." I curse and shake Taeho once more with my eyes on Yujun’s retreating back.

"If you try this again, I will end your life before I think twice" I say to Taeho coldly.

If anything happens between me and Yujun because of him...brotherhood be damned.
