Yujun’s POV

I wake up early to a stomach cramp and when I turn to my side to find my daughter snuggled up to me with one little hand on my swollen chest.

She must have been brought in by her aunt Yunah, Haeri’s lips are parted and her chubby cheek is already stained with drool, in love with her, I lean in and kiss her head before getting up.

An important duty is waiting for me and I need to be there as soon as eight before Yeon mom wakes up and catches me.

My due date is one week away, enough time for me to round up my clan business and recover, enough time to mentally prepare for another baby.

As much as I adore Haeri, the experiences around her birth scarred me.

"Mama" Haerin whines when I detach her from my body, she’s still sleepy but half-alert, and just like her dad, my little pup loves to be loved and pampered.

"Mama" she calls again, whining as she opens her eyes, "I’m here, Mama’s here" I coo at her and sit on the edge of the bed.

Slowly, my pup climbs into my arms and holds me possessively, not caring about my round belly between us as she rests her head on my shoulder.

"Did you sleep well? Hmm?" I ask and she sticks her thumb into her mouth, "what’s wrong love?" I ask softly and she sniffles but doesn’t respond, "do you want us to go outside?"

"Want mama" she says simply and I chuckle under my breath.

If Yeon can’t stop me from working, her grandchild will, I put her back on the bed and change my clothes into something formal but comfortable enough to carry two children around.

Haeri is quietly laying on the bed, folded in a circle as she sucks her thumb, her composure worries me and I press my palm to her head to check her temperature first.

"Haeri is hurt?" I ask and she pouts.

"Want mama" is her response as I pick her up, carrying her in her pajamas as I make my way to the meeting of the day.

Jaehyun left last night to handle a dispute for me, he hasn’t returned yet and Yunah is taking care of Gawon’s heat.

"You’re stuck with mama today, aren’t you?" I ask her and she pats my back.

"My Lord" a guard bows as soon as he sees me and I nod, "shall I take the pup?" he asks and I wave him away, walking into the meeting room.

The men are already waiting for me in their seats.

I already know what they expect to see, they know the Hwang clan has a new mafia lord, they will expect a strong and tall alpha with muscles and guns.

But I’m walking in with unmade hair, a round stomach and a pup resting on my shoulder.

"Hello" I say loudly and politely and they all look up at me, staring at each other in confusion, they have never seen a mafia lord like this before.

The confusion on their faces is as clear as day but I take my seat at the lord’s position, and Haeri snuggles into my chest, taking as much space on her mother’s changed body as she can.

"I’m sorry for the late arrival, my pup is slightly...upset and my husband is away on business" I say with a soft smile.

The room is silent for a few seconds before one of them snaps out of it and responds for the rest, "it’s no problem, Lord...Hwang" he says, unsure of what to make of me.

"Yes yes, let’s begin" I say and one of them comes out, glancing back at his fellow clan members as he approaches my table with his proposal, "yes?" I ask.

"Honestly, it is strange to answer to an omega, especially a male one" he says and I sigh, this again and again, it’s not the first time I would have a confrontation like this.

"Yes, it is, next time make your findings before you visit a clan" I say sternly, keeping my voice deep and commanding and the man bows his head, "forgive my questioning, I am not against you, my Lord" he says.

"Hmm" I hum without giving a response, already calculating his expressions and micro movements, he is one of those that will waste my time unless I am cruel.

"The Lee clan is failing financially" I state and he nods, "we are a clan of able alphas and are trained with brute force" he brags and I act distracted, running my fingers through Haeri’s soft hair.

"Mama, baby?" she asks and the rude man stops speaking to glare at her, "isn’t it strange to have a child in a meeting room?" he asks.

"Isn’t it strange to be rude to your salvation?" I ask and he hisses at me, "Mister, do you think I am here on this throne and I don’t have the certification?" I ask and he looks back at his clan members for backup.

"Look at me when I speak" I order sharply with my omega blue eyes flashing and he looks at me, "do I look like I have time for childish game? Don’t come back until you are ready to finalize a deal" I say and lean back in the chair.

The man opens and closes his mouth twice.

"Who does he think he is?" he growls at me and I stare blankly at him, and suddenly, I feel warmth between my legs and a pain on my stomach...oh.

"Bada" I call my guard and the door opens as the beta walks in with his gun, "take him out gently, Haeri shouldn’t see him beg at this age" I say and the man, with wounded pride leaves the room by himself, after a second his followers exit one by one while I sit with wetness between my legs and a toddler on my lap.

"And Bada" I call again.

"Yes my Lord?" the young man walks back in.

"Call my husband and tell him I’ll kill him" I say.
