Yunah’s POV

"Baby" my brother’s voice calls from the other side, reminding me that he’s still on the call with me.

"Baby, run, don’t let him get you, don’t look him in the eyes" he says in a panicked tone and I nod even though he can’t see me.

"Look at him, talking all calm and worried like he really cares about you, don’t be fooled" Chan says and I hold Haeri even closer, the little baby is sucking on her tiny fingers, unbothered by the chaos going on around us.

"My brother..." I start but Chan cuts in.

"You brother betrayed you, he has been deceiving you" he whispers, his words remind me of the time in the car, oppa said he was going to tell me something later.

"You’re thinking about it aren’t you?" he asks and I shake my head.

"Shut up" I whisper, my voice wavering.

I want to know what it is, but I also know...he’s going to hurt Haeri if I let him...

"I’m not going to hurt you, I promise, I just need...I’m helping the world" he says and takes a strand of my hair, twirling it between his fingers as he smiles softly at me.

"Don’t touch me, I know what you are" I say and his façade changes immediately, "I don’t have time for this, why won’t you listen to me?" he asks in a colder voice.

"Look at me" he whispers and I turn my head to the side, almost bursting into tears, his presence is overwhelming and he is starting to pump his scent out in waves that feels like being drowned.

"Please leave us" I plead, getting weaker with his words, I don’t want to hear what he has to say, I don’t want to look at him, I just want him gone.

"Yujun asked me to make you..." he starts and I whimper, everything but my arms are weak, I want my brother!

"Yunah? Yunah!" my mates voice comes from behind as Gawon rushes in, she growls fiercely and pulls Chan off me, throwing him to the floor with speed and strength.

"Gawon! Gawon! Run away from here!" I scream at her, but she doesn’t listen to me as she attacks him, sitting on him and holding him down by his neck.

Something tells me he would have killed me and taken the baby easily, but he hasn’t touched me, could it be...morals? Or does he want me to give the pup to him by myself?

"You" Chan laughs as he throws her off him, Gawon doesn’t flinch as she gets right back up and attacks him again with full force.

I turn around, panicking as I run for the door with the baby, running to get guards to save us.

"Help! Help us please!" I scream and run out of the building, my shouts and jostling startle my niece and she start to cry.

Gawon’s POV

’This is the killer’ my omega hisses and the resolve grow, I want to kill him.

The smile on his face, easy and calm, reminds me of how he wasted my Unnie, how he used his words to end her young life.

Unnie didn’t even get to know the gender of her baby, this man...this man!

"DIE!" I scream and lunge at him with blurry visions, I can barely see anything and the pain shooting up my spine from when he threw me feels like it would make me pass out.

I push him against the wall, and he groans in a mocking manner.

"You have gotten strong" he gasps but doesn’t flinch, he doesn’t fight me, he just stays with his back against the wall.

"You’re not even sorry" I say with all the pain inside me, and he looks me in the eyes as he asks the worse question, "about what?"

"Cho Yujin! You asshole, you-" I scream.

"Cho Yujin is a thing of the past, Cho Yujin is gone" he says and I land a punch on his nose, the breaking noise is satisfying for a moment.

I have craved this for too long.

I punch him again and again and he just laughs, my knuckles get bloody and he grabs my hair, throwing me off by my hair.

The pain is searing but I push myself up again, breathing hard and clenching my teeth together as I go at him again, his eyes are gold now.

"You monster" I hiss, holding my side as I jump at him again, he slaps me with the back of his hand, and I drop to the floor.

On the floor, I grab on to his leg to pull him down, but he steps on my hand, pressing down hard on my hand with the heel of his shoe and I let out a loud scream.

"Let go, Gawon, there is nothing you can do" he says in a whisper, and I cry out in pain, I won’t give up, I want him dead.

He killed my sister, killed her child, tried to do the same to Yujun and now he dared to touch my mate.

With my other hand, I dig my claw in his leg, he groans and takes his feet off my hand to grab my hair again.

"I hate pesky omegas, and you’re the worse of them" he says to me, forcing my head up to meet his golden eyes and shut my eyes.

"You will look at me" he orders.

"You will not fucking win this" I growl to him and he smirks, "too bad, I am born to win, did you forget? I am a god" he says.

"Attacking an heir" Jaehyun oppa’s voice says from behind and we both look back at him, my head is spinning and my eyes swimming with tears.

He looks like he ran here, he only has on his white shirt, and his tie has been pulled on maybe in anger, his hair is a mess, but he looks handsome.

A smirk is on his lips, but his eyes are blood red, he looks mad and moves forward rolling up his sleeves.

"Attacking the right-hand man of an acting leader..." he says.
