Chapter 32: Octopus House!

British Imperial Family...

In the Training Grounds...

The ninth prince of the imperial family, Edward Smith is sparring against servants.

He single handedly dealt with 9 servants at once.

His sword cut through the air in clean, controlled arcs, forcing the nine soldiers around him to retreat step by step. Steel rang sharply, breaths grew uneven, and one by one, their formation broke.

’Catch..;’

A final swing ended it.

His blade stopped just short of the last man’s throat. The soldier froze, eyes wide, chest rising fast. The others were already down or had stepped back, unable to continue.

Edward lowered his sword. "That’s enough. Leave me Alone."

They immediately bowed and left without looking back.

Edward turned away, rolling his shoulder slightly, as if the fight had been nothing more than routine. His eyes had already shifted elsewhere.

His personal servant Lassi stood at the edge of the ground.

She hadn’t moved since arriving. No signal, no interruption. Just waiting. Edward had noticed her during the last exchange, and that alone was enough for him to end things early.

He walked toward her, taking the towel from her hand. His fingers brushed hers briefly, but neither of them reacted to it openly.

"What’s the news?" he asked.

"You didn’t see the announcement?" Lassi asked back.

Edward wiped his face slowly. "What announcement?" 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮

"The Clark family made it public. Tony Clark is getting engaged to Lily Frost."

Edward paused for a fraction of a second, then continued as if it didn’t matter. "That was bound to happen sooner or later. Powerful families don’t stay separate for long."

"This one matters," Lassi said. "If the Clark and Frost family join hands, their influence will grow beyond control. They’ll be strong enough to pressure even the imperial family."

Edward gave a faint smile. "You think my father will sit quietly and watch that happen."

"The emperor is already making his moves," she said. "There’s no solid plan. Tony Clark doesn’t leave his family estate, and no one can reach him there. That’s the problem."

Edward stopped wiping his face and looked at her properly. "So, what can I do?!"

"I want you to act," Lassi said with a decisive look.

Edward let out a quiet breath. "That’s a big sentence. Say it clearly."

"Stop the engagement before it happens," she said. "Do it yourself."

Edward studied her for a moment. "You’re asking me to deal with Tony Clark."

"I’m telling you this is your chance," she replied. "If you succeed, your position in the family will change immediately. You won’t be compared to your brothers anymore."

Edward folded the towel and handed it back to her. "And how exactly do you expect me to reach him? He doesn’t step outside."

"He does this time," Lassi said, taking out a small slip and placing it in his hand.

Edward glanced at it. His eyes sharpened as he read.

"Seventh Octopus House," he said.

"Yes, He’s going there with Lily Frost," she continued. "He is purchasing supplies for the Nine-Lotus-Academy."

Edward looked up. "And inside the academy, I won’t get a chance."

"You won’t," she said. "Your brother Mark is there. Once Tony enters that place, you won’t be able to touch him."

Edward folded the slip slowly. "So this is the only opening."

"Yes... This is your chance." Lassi replied with a serious look.

"And you’re certain about this information?"

"I wouldn’t bring it to you if I wasn’t."

Edward stayed quiet for a few seconds, then he stepped closer to her face. "If this works, everything changes. We can rule this family!"

Lassi didn’t respond to that part. She placed a key card in his hand. "Your jet is ready. Some loyal soldiers have been arranged to assist you."

Edward looked at the card, then at her. "You always prepare things in advance."

"I want the best for you." she said.

Edward smiled slightly. "Good. Then I will bring the good news... Wait for me!"

He turned and walked away, already focused on what came next. There was no hesitation left in him.

***

Far above the Tibet region, the sky was broken by the movement of a warp jet cutting through it at high speed.

Inside, Tony stood in the center of a circular projection ring, completely absorbed in a multiplayer shooting game. Light flashed across his face as he moved, aimed, and fired without pause. The rhythm of the game was steady, controlled, almost effortless.

A final shot ended the round.

Tony removed the glasses and stretched his neck slightly. "Winner Winner-Chicken Dinner."

"It’s boring," Julie said from her seat, clearly annoyed.

"You’re the one who wanted to come," Lily replied.

"I wanted to see the Octopus House," Julie said. "Not sit here watching him play games."

Tony glanced at them. "You can still see it when we get there."

"That’s not the point," Julie replied impatiently. "Do you even understand where we’re going?"

Tony leaned back slightly. "Not really. I never looked into it. Dear wife, can you explain the octopus house for me?" Tony asked in a playful tone.

Lily lowered her sky orb. "The Octopus Houses are controlled by the Octopus organization. Simply, Seven elders, seven locations. They regulate the martial world, control resources, and manage information."

Tony listened quietly.

"We’re heading to the seventh one," she continued. "It’s identified by a red theme and a trident symbol. It’s also the most resourceful among all seven houses."

"Who controls it?" Tony asked.

"Lady Jasmine," Lily said. "She’s the only female elder, but that doesn’t make her weaker. If anything, she’s more unpredictable."

Tony nodded slightly. "Sounds like a place worth visiting."

Julie looked at him again. "That’s all you have to say?"

"What else should I say?" Tony replied. "We’ll go, take what we need, and leave."

Julie shook her head. "People spend their entire lives trying to get access to places like this."

Tony picked up his glasses again. "Then they should try harder."

Lily didn’t interrupt this time. She returned to her orb, scrolling through updates about the Nine Lotus Academy.

Outside, the mountains were getting closer.

The snow-covered peaks stretched endlessly, silent and still. The kind of place where nothing moved unless it had a reason.

And somewhere ahead of them, another jet was already on its way.
