Reborn As A Ghost: Time To Build My Undead Army!-Chapter 1909: Maria VS Odin [7]
-----
"NNGH...! GAAAAHHHH!"
Odin screamed monstrously as he struggled to regenerate. He began fusing with the dimensional structure of the Heavenly Realm and Umbralheim, distorting even further. The surroundings shattered around him, dragging Maria and everyone else toward a collapsing dimensional singularity!
TRUUUUM!
Reality warped and twisted. Fragments of worlds flashed past Maria’s eyes and those of her companions, light, darkness, souls in torment, and even the distant laughter of children.
Among the chaos, she glimpsed twisted memories from Odin’s fractured mind: the days when he was merely a young warrior fighting for his family.
The fateful battle where he first met Frigga and joined forces with her kin.
How they slowly fell in love while shielding one another in battle.
How they stood side by side through countless conflicts, hands clasped at the end of each day, eyes burning with determination and the resolve to shape their own destiny.
"Frigga, you are the sword that guides my path to victory..." Odin had said, gently holding her hand. "Would you forever guide me toward victory, for the rest of our lives?"
In that moment, he offered her a beautiful ring he had forged himself from magic ore he mined with his own strength.
"Odin..." Frigga had smiled warmly. "Yes... of course! I love you!"
Frigga watched these corrupted memories while tears streamed down her face. Her hands trembled uncontrollably.
When had everything gone so terribly wrong?
Perhaps the moment they chose to flee Valhalla and conquer another world.
Or when they slaughtered other gods and seized Yggdrasil.
No—maybe far later, after thousands of years had passed.
His mind had slowly eroded.
And only now had Frigga dared to act.
But it was already too late.
"It’s all my fault, Odin...!"
As she wept, the space around them warped violently. Dozens of titanic, monstrous heads materialized—each one Odin.
Every face glowed with the eyes of different elemental divinities.
Among them rose three enormous heads bearing sharp, vampire-like fangs and blazing red eyes, overflowing with the blood energy of Umbralheim.
The main body remained hidden, yet Maria could sense it.
It was here—somewhere!
"FRIGGA...!"
"WHAAAHHHH!"
"MY LOVE...!"
"MY CHILDREN...!"
"DEATH...! DEATH!"
"JUDGEMENT BE UPON THEE!"
"I AM THE GOD KING ODIN!!!"
Each head expressed a different fragment of Odin’s shattered psyche—his fractured personality and decaying sanity laid bare.
"I can feel massive concentrations of energy in their foreheads!" Emeraldine shouted. "Maria! We have to destroy these heads—it’s a formation, some kind of dimensional barrier shielding the main body!"
"He’s stalling for time until he fully regenerates! We need to hurry!" Scarlet urged.
"Let’s do it, Maria!" Lucifer roared.
"Yes... let’s do it!" Maria answered, her voice steady despite the ache in her heart. She no longer harbored pure hatred toward Odin—not after witnessing this nightmare. "I will end your suffering, Odin. I will end your nightmare!"
With a roar filled with unbreakable resolve, Maria’s Aura surged violently. She condensed her entire being—and the power of everyone with her—into a single, titanic sword over a kilometer long.
Each of Odin’s giant heads was the size of a moon. The distance between them was vast.
Yet with one swing, Maria gathered the power of every star within her Firmament Dominion.
She unleashed her latent might!
Spectral Dream Ghost Carnival.
Nightmare Soul Memory Painting.
Dream-Soaring Blade.
Heaven-Tearing God Killing Blade.
All four ultimate techniques converged within her Sword Soul Heart, giving birth to something entirely new.
Her previous art had evolved.
Calling it a "fist" no longer fit.
Therefore—
As Odin attacked from every conceivable angle...
Maria’s eyes glowed bright gold.
The Spectral Ghostly Fist Art ascended to its next stage.
The Firmament gathered inside her sword. Countless stars—her people—shone brilliantly within it.
Their combined power manifested as near-infinite potential.
"{Myriad Firmaments Sword Soul Heart Dream Paths}: {First Form – Path Of Nihility}"
Her sword cut through nothing.
And yet—through everything.
In a single blink.
SLAAASH!
The onslaught aimed at her split apart.
Again and again.
Endlessly, until it vanished completely.
Through the Path of Nihility, Maria severed space itself, annihilating it.
She reached the first of Odin’s faces.
"GRAAAAHHHH! DIE! EVERYONE MUST DIE BEFORE MY MIGHT!"
Wrath.
With a single swing, she cleaved through his forehead. The entire head exploded open, revealing a glowing crystal within.
Odin’s crystallized madness!
Her strike erupted into a nebula of stars that engulfed the crystal and shattered it completely.
The head detonated.
The remaining heads roared and fired beams at her.
Maria evaded swiftly. The Path of Nihility carved a path of nothingness forward.
By unifying her mind with everyone and achieving absolute tranquility, they walked untouched.
"FRIGGA...! FRIGGA I MISS YOU FRIGGAAAAAA!"
Sorrow.
SLASH!
"WHY...! WHY IS THIS HAPPENING TO ME?!"
Despair.
SLASH!
"YOU! ALL OF YOU ARE TO BLAME! I DID NOTHING WRONG!!!"
Pride.
SLASH!
"IF ONLY I HAD MORE POWER, IF ONLY I HAD MORE!"
Greed.
SLASH!
Unified with her companions through the newly evolved Path, Maria cut down every one of Odin’s heads in succession!
Explosions tore through the corrupted, distorted space.
Monstrous hands and tentacles erupted, desperately trying to stop her.
But Maria spun in midair and plunged downward, slicing through everything in her way.
Through the Path of Nihility, she channeled the power of Nothingness she had once grasped—and pushed it beyond its limits!
SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!
Until finally, Odin’s formation shattered completely.
It revealed a colossal mass of black tentacles, eyes, and faces below.
"NO...! NO! GET AWAY FROM ME!"
Odin cowered at the center of this monstrosity born from his own madness. His wounded body curled into a fetal position, trembling in terror and agony.
"MAKE IT STOP...! MAKE THEM STOP TALKING INSIDE MY HEAD! AAAHHH! AAAAAAGGHH!"
In that moment...
Maria could no longer hate him.
She pitied him.
He was like an old man lost to madness, consumed by mental illness.
Far too gone. The only mercy left was to end him—and his nightmare.
"Don’t worry, Odin," she said softly. "I will end this nightmare and let you finally rest in peace."
Maria charged downward, clashing against the monstrous Outer God born from Odin’s insanity. It assaulted her with dozens of magical attacks, weapon techniques, and the relentless pursuit of Gungnir.
CLASH! CLASH! CLASH! CLASH!
"Gungnir! That’s enough!" Frigga screamed amid the chaos. "Please stop! I know you love Odin. I know you want to protect him...! We forged you with all our love. You were quite literally our first child...! We faced countless battles together. We lived through so much that you evolved into this... but this is wrong, and you know it!"
"...!"
Gungnir staggered at Frigga’s words.
The spear was no mindless tool.
It had lived for so long that it had developed a mind and a soul of its own.
"Frigga... Ugh...!"
It tried to respond, but the dark flesh encasing it twisted its soul as well, forcing obedience to Odin’s madness.
And in that fleeting moment of hesitation...
Maria seized the opening Frigga had created.
"{Myriad Firmaments Sword Soul Heart Dream Paths}: {Second Form – Path Of Genesis}"
Her sword blazed with blinding white light, hot as the sun itself.
With one decisive swing, she cleaved through Gungnir while its guard was down.
SLAAASH!
