Chapter 1908: Maria VS Odin [6]

"Touch of Death."

TRUUUM!

"NNGH?!"

Odin gasped as Hel’s mere touch withered half his body in a single second.

"A-Ahh...! AAAAHHH!"

He screamed in horror, swinging Gungnir and blasting Hel away with an explosive strike.

Maria caught her with tentacles of hair while Hel groaned, drenched in blood.

"T-That damn bastard! If he wasn’t so huge, I could’ve ended him already!"

"You’re incredibly strong, but you’re too small and fragile, Hel!"

"I know... wait... Let me handle this, Maria!"

"...You mean?"

"What else?!"

"...Fine!"

Maria nodded. Hel smiled as her entire form dissolved into a swirling mass of spectral ghosts. They pierced Maria’s body and began to possess her.

What Maria was allowing was something only Heroes and Saints blessed by their gods could normally achieve.

This was called "God Descent"!

However, Hel did not seize full control. Instead, she fused her powers with Maria’s.

RUMBLE!

The sky tore open as Maria transformed. Her Outer Goddess form took on aspects of Hel—her skin shifted from purple to gray, and her third eye turned silver.

At that moment, Fenrir and Jormungandr stepped through Helheim’s portal.

Their auras erupted with overwhelming force, growing to their absolute limits. Both colossal beast gods now rivaled Odin’s size.

"ODIN!"

"YOU WILL PAY!"

The two Divine Beasts clashed against him!

Fenrir clamped down on Odin’s right arm and began tearing it away. Jormungandr coiled around his body and sank fangs into his neck.

"D-DAMN IT! YOU FILTHY BEASTS! DON’T BITE MEEEEEEE!"

Odin punched and kicked wildly, but the two refused to release their grip. Covered in blood, they held him in place with desperate strength.

Then, amid the chaos, a crimson streak flashed. The Crimson Emperor and Sirius blitzed through the burning skies.

Their swords plunged into Odin’s chest, digging deep toward the crystallized heart that housed the evil god fragments.

"PIERCE DEEPER, SIRIUS!"

"I AM DOING ALL I CAN!!!"

Both vampires roared as cracks spread across Odin’s core. He groaned in agony, tentacles lashing out and hurling them away.

"BEGONE, BUGS!!!"

He opened his maw and unleashed a colossal beam of darkness and blood straight at them!

TRUUUM!

"Ngh?!"

But the beam’s path veered sharply. Razor-sharp claws tore into Odin’s neck. Sanguaroth roared, ripping flesh while halting the fatal attack aimed at his children.

"Sanguaroth saved us?!" Sirius stared in disbelief.

"He may be a vile evil god, but he knows we’re all in this together!" the Crimson Emperor said.

"GRYYAAAARRRR!"

Sanguaroth bellowed back at the vampires. They noticed half his body had already begun fusing into Odin...

"No! Is he...?!" Sirius gasped.

"Father, what are you planning?!" The Crimson Emperor was stunned by this sudden display of emotion.

Sanguaroth was never an emotional being. He was a monstrous deity.

Yet...

With most of his world in ruins.

Most of his children slaughtered.

And only a handful remaining, struggling desperately.

A father had to do what a father had to do.

"GRRRR...!"

With a guttural roar, he locked eyes with the Crimson Emperor.

No words passed between them—only intent.

And the message in those eyes was unmistakable.

"Protect our family."

The Crimson Emperor trembled with agitation.

"After all this time you...! WAIT! STOP!"

He screamed as the Bat God unleashed a final, earth-shaking roar. His Divine Core blazed and then detonated into a cataclysmic explosion.

BOOOMMM!!!

"NNGGH?! AAAAAAAAAGGGHHHH!"

Odin howled in terror as more than half his body disintegrated in an instant! Sanguaroth was gone—sacrificing his divine body and soul, detonating them before Odin could fully assimilate him and grow even stronger.

"H-He sacrificed himself?!" Sirius asked in disbelief.

"Father...!" The Crimson Emperor shed tears of blood for the first time in his existence. "Damn it! Now that Father has given everything, we’d better kill that monster!!!"

"A-Ahhhh...! Aaaaggghh! Die! All of you...! D-DIE ALREADY! WHY...! WHY MUST YOU TORTURE ME SO MUCH?!"

Odin began shrieking and weeping black tears. His ravaged body struggled to regenerate, but the process was agonizingly slow.

Sanguaroth’s toxic, acid-like blood coated him, constantly melting and burning his flesh.

"I HAVEN’T DONE ANYTHING WRONG...! I-I...! What...! Where...! Where am I?! Ahhh...! Frigga! FRIGGAAAAA!"

Odin’s words dissolved into nonsense. Memories surfaced and vanished in rapid succession. He was in a severe state of dementia.

"Odin...! You’ve done enough, Odin! Just rest!" Frigga shouted furiously from within the Ark Formation. "REST, ODIN!"

"FRIGGAAAAAAA! COME BACK TO MEEEEE! I AM SO LONELY!!! FRIGGAAAAAA! WHY DID YOU LEAVE ME?! AAAAHHHHH! WAAAHHHHH!"

Odin sobbed like a frightened child, his breakdown deeply disturbing everyone and igniting a mix of rage and dread.

Why had he become so utterly mad?

"Everyone! Charge!"

Maria—now fused with Hel—roared. Her power surged like an endless ocean of ghostly flames, black void, shadows, dreams, and nightmares unified.

The Ark Formation merged with her Dominion, flowing into her body.

At the same moment, everyone within the Ark was enveloped in black stars, each person becoming a radiant point within Maria’s new power.

An aura formed—a breathtaking constellation of stars—and every individual was one of those stars!

"Is this a Nebula of sorts?! No...! A Firmament?!"

Lucifer gasped, standing beside his daughter as he realized he had merged with Maria, becoming a blazing star within her Firmament Dominion.

This was Maria pushing herself beyond every limit—fusing with the Ark Formation, Helheim, Hel, and the auras of everyone present while devouring the dread, agony, despair, and pain of Yggdrasil’s dying people as hundreds of thousands perished every minute.

To save this world, her home, and every soul within it, even those who despised and feared her, Maria poured everything into this final act.

Her consciousness expanded. Her soul thundered. Her mind stretched infinitely.

Dreams and nightmares intertwined with those of everyone who joined her Firmament Dominion.

This Firmament-like Dominion was no ordinary creation.

It was the ultimate evolution of her technique—a convergence of all her paths and elements into a single point, then shattered to expand and flow everywhere.

FLUOSH!

Her Sea of Void Tears wrapped around her transformed body, forming a flowing black dress that extended endlessly.

As it flowed, space itself melted into void tears, fueling her power further.

"Come, everyone—come to me!"

As Maria called out, her allies rejoined her one by one. Each became a star within her Firmament.

Their Dream Hearts converged with hers, creating a mass of Dream so potent it allowed Maria to manifest a weapon capable of challenging even Gungnir.

"Crimson Emperor, Sirius!"

At her call, the two glared at Odin’s monstrous form as it rushed toward them—thousands of hands, heads, and tentacles surrounding them.

They had no other choice but to merge with her, even if temporarily. The idea repulsed them.

But what other path remained?

"Damn it!"

"Hmph. Just this once!"

The two vampires fused into Maria’s Dominion, transforming into a pair of blazing crimson stars that shone with blinding intensity.

Those stars joined the constellations within her aura as Maria continued to grow!

Hel’s powers flowed through her, stabilizing Maria’s existence so she would not collapse under the overwhelming pressure of it all.
