Ariana Paul heard the news of Harley’s arrest an hour after,at home.

But she didn’t bail Harley out this time.She hoped that he would calm down in the police station for a period of time.

Tom had returned to the hospital.

He changed his clothes and entered the ward.Immediately he sat,he noticed Nina looking at him with her eyes wide open.

Tom went wild with joy.He held Nina’s hand happily and said,

"Nina,you’re finally awake!You’ve been sleeping for three days!"

Nina was not very clear headed.Nina’s head was still unclear.She blinked and tried to ask about her daughter,but she could not speak.

Tom then called the doctor to check Nina’s condition.Her condition had stabilised and she could be transferred to the general ward.

This was undoubtedly good news.

After Nina left the ICU,she looked at Tom and asked,

"Tom,where is True?I’ve been in a coma for three days.Is there anyone taking care of her?"

She could only remember that she covered True with her body during the accident.After the car accident,although she was lost consciousness,she could clearly hear her daughter’s cry.

Looking at Nina’s anxious face,Tom didn’t know how to explain it to her.

"Nina,please listen to me."

Tom didn’t know where True was either.He feared that Nina would hurt and feel depressed if she knew her child was missing.

Tom couldn’t imagine what would happen to Nina.

After thinking about it for a while,Tom concluded that True had died,

"True was lost in the accident.She was badly injured and couldn’t be rescued,"he said.

Nina understood what Tom said.Tears streamed down the corners of her eyes.

All her relatives were gone,and her daughter too.

Nina’s trembled at the thought of losing her daughter,then she fainted again.A few hours later,Nina opened her eyes and saw Tom still standing beside her bed.

"Where is my daughter?A funeral home?"Nina asked eagerly,tears welling up in her eyes. 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚

"I’m sorry,Nina.I was afraid that you wouldn’t accept it,so I decided to bury her alongside your parents."

This statement left Nina in despair.She realised that she had become the most lonely person in the world.

"I see.Thank you."Nina’s voice was cold.

Tom felt uncomfortable.The more he saw the calm,sorrowful look on Nina’s face,the more grief he felt.

"This is what I can do for you.I just hope that you can come out as soon as possible."Tom patted the back of Nina’s hand to comfort her.He knew it was futile,but it was his way of comforting her at the moment.

As long as they could return to their normal lives,they could have children again and hide all the sadness of the past.

Nina smiled sadly,

"Even if I walk out,where can I go?I have neither parents nor child.What else do I have?"

"You still have me!"Tom held her hand tightly.

Days later,Harley was still in the police station.He was sentenced to one month in prison for fighting.

Tom had been taking care of Nina in the hospital.Despite that she looked like a living dead,he still took care of her.

It was almost noon and Nina was hungry.Tom was about to go and buy lunch when he received a call from Lily.

He thought of the lie he had told Lily before and decided to keep it simple.

"Lily,how have you been?Don’t worry about me.I’m used to living in another city."Tom said everything in one breath,hoping to hang up immediately.

Lily was shopping.She was rich and didn’t need to go to work.She had been buying clothes and having beauty care for days.She lived a happy life.

The only depressing thing was that she couldn’t wait for Tom return home.

Lily,who was rich,didn’t have to worry about her living,but she was shrouded in loneliness.Hearing his voice reminded her of when they lived together.She missed those times.

"Tom,I miss you.What are you busy with?Can we chat?"

Lily was drinking coffee in a cafe and looking at the street through the French window.

Tom didn’t have time to chat with Lily.He perfunctorily said,"I miss you too.Let’s talk some other day.I’m working now!"He hung up the phone immediately and hurried into the elevator of the hospital.

Lily pouted and was annoyed when she noticed that Tom wouldn’t speak to her.

"I don’t believe you are so busy.You don’t want to talk to me!"She talked to herself angrily,sipped her coffee and dialed his number again.

This time,Tom didn’t answer the phone.When she dialed it the third time,his phone was switched off.

Sylvia comforted Carlee,so that she wouldn’t feel too sad regarding Nina’s death.

Carlee was fine now,and she was happy about Nina’s death.After all,it was an accident,not the murder they had planned.

"It’s fate.It’s better this way,since we didn’t have to spill a blood."Carlee said with a smile.She felt that Harley would have a bright future now that Nina was out of the picture.

Sylvia,of course,knew what was going on.She didn’t tell the truth but echoed,

"Yes,I’m also surprised.In fact,Nina was still young.It’s a pity that she died like that."

"It’s such a pity!But it’s not a bad thing for us."Carlee felt zero remorse.She continued chit chatting with Sylvia,she said slowly,

"Now is the time that Harley would act more bunkers.I worry about what next he’ll be up to if he’s released.It’s better for him to cool off in that police station,for a while."

"You are right.No matter how madly in love he’s with her,he’ll most definitely get over it within a while."Sylvia nodded in agreement.

After settling Carlee down,Sylvia asked for a leave from her,

"Mrs.Timothy,I’m going out to do something.My family called and asked me to return home."

"Then do so quickly.Remember to greet your parents for me."Carlee agreed with a smile,hoping for Harley to come out and turn a new leaf.

At least Carlee could believe one thing,that her son wouldn’t waste his time and affection on a dead woman.

The problem was the baby.It didn’t matter if she died in the car accident with her mother,but her whereabouts were unknown.It was bound to be alive in Harley’s mind.
