Unscented-Chapter 1048 - 990 Are You Happy Now?

Harley tried contacting Nina to find out about her whereabouts,but her number wasn’t going through.

Left with zero option,Harley had no choice than to turn to Jasmine for help.He asked her to hire a private investigator,to track Nina’s location.

Ten minutes later,Jasmine called back,she informed Harley that Nina har been involved in a car accident two days ago,and that no one knew if she was still alive or dead.

The news undoubtedly destabilized Harley,he felt totally numb for some moments.After regaining composure,he asked,

"How could Nina be involved in a car accident?Which hospital are they in?"

Harley felt his hands shake.For some unexplainable reason,all the misfortune seemed to be shrouded in the Paul’s family.

Not only that her parents had been killed in the fire,Nina who was the only descendant of her parents,was now involved in a car accident.

If anything bad were to happen to her.Harley didn’t dare to think further.He was told that the hospital she was admitted to was nearby,so he drove there hastily.

According to the reports.He knew that Nina was severely injured,and that her hands and legs may be broken.But he secretly prayed that it wouldn’t be bad to that extent.As for his daughter,he hoped that she was safe as well.

Harley arrived at the hospital in minutes,as soon as he walked in,he overheard the conversation between two nurses.

"It’s strange how people go into the ward,and not come out alive."The first nurse muttered.

"Isn’t Miss Paul,the one who occupied that ward?Didn’t she make it?"The second one asked.

"The doctor told me that,she couldn’t make it even after being transferred."

Hearing this,Harley was speechless.He wasn’t convinced that it was indeed Nina that they spoke about.

"Hi,sorry to bother you,the lady who couldn’t make it,is her name Nina?"He questioned,the first nurse nodded affirmatively,they excused themselves,leaving him to himself.

Harley felt his body tremble,he called out with a shaky voice,

"Hi..uhm,how about her child.How’s she?"

"It was only the lady that was brought in,so we do not have answers to your question"The first nurse replied rudely,before they walked away.

Harley squatted slowly,his strength seemed to had vanished.He stay in that position for a while,mourning the mother of his child.

Upon getting a hold of himself,Harley left the hospital to the police station,he needed to get all the information he could concerning True.

He was informed that True wasn’t found on the scene,of the accident,so they had concluded that,True must have flew out of the window,during the collision.And there was a river beneath the bridge.True must have fallen in and the current may have swept her away.

They were trained personnels,who were sent to search for True,but there still wasn’t any clue of her after two days.

Harley has just found out that his lover was dead,and now he couldn’t find his daughter.He left the station feeling heartbroken.

He walked into Carlee’s Villa expressionlessly like a walking corpse.The moment he opened the door,he heard his mother speaking with Sylvia. 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂

"I’m sure Nina is so happy now,but a woman who snatches other people’s husband is bound to die."

Carlee curved her lips unscrupulously and said sarcastically,

"I’ve never seen a woman so adamant.I’ve told her countless times that Harley is engaged to you,but she still pesters him."

Carlee turned to see Harley standing by the door,she was startled by his presence,but was also glad that he was home,with a smile she said,

"Harley dear,you’re finally home!"

Sylvia noticed the coldness on Harley’s face,he looked as though he was desperate for something.

"Harley come sit,and have a rest"Sylvia said politely tapping the sofa for him.

Harley ignored Sylvia.He stared at his mother and asked,

"Are you looking forward to Nina’s death?Will you jubilate if she dies?"

Carlee realized that it was too extreme to wish death upon anyone.She changed her tone and explained,

"I didn’t mean that way okay,I was just angered that you hadn’t been home for days,I was only concerned about you"

Carlee’s explanation fell on deaf ears,Harley muttered calmly,

"It doesn’t matter.I do not care if you were angry or not.Anyways,Nina got involved in a car accident two days ago and died,but your grandchild is still missing."

"So,your wish came through.Are you happy now?No one will pester your son anymore,are you glad?"Harley asked with a cold smile.

Carlee’s lips went apart in shock,she muttered in disbelief

"Are you kidding me?"

Harley went upstairs without uttering another word.Carlee felt cold shiver flow down her spine.She sat without making a move.Sylvia went to her and comforted her.

That night,Harley arranged the things that were left in the bedroom by Nina.There were some True’s clothings and feeding bottles.

He placed the items neatly on the bed and stared at them,the whole night.

Nina had passed through the dangerous phase,she stood a higher chance of waking up.

In the past two days,Tom had been with her all day.He was patiently hoping and praying for a miracle.

While standing beside her bed.He pondered on the amounts that he had spent on the death certificate.He knew he had to hold a fake funeral for her.Otherwise,Harley would find out the secret in no time.

In order to make Nina’s death more credible,Tom planned on going to the funeral home and fudge a funeral there.

At noon,Tom arrived at the funeral home.After discussing the situation with the funeral home owner.Harley arrived to see Nina’s body.

His face was pale as death.He walked through the large empty courtyard into the hall.

The hall’s decorations was just simple.Tom didn’t expect that Harley would show up so soon.

In order to convince him that Nina was indeed dead,Tom flew into a rage and scurried to Harley.

"Are you here to see Nina?Get out!You have no right to see her!"

With grief and indignation written over his face,Tom roared,

"If it weren’t because of you,Nina wouldn’t have ended up this way.You caused her car accident!"

Harley didn’t respond to Tom’s accusation,he just kept heading towards the coffin.

Tom knew that the was no corpse to see,so he tried his best to push him out.

Harley was finally irritated.His face become red and ferocious.

"No one can stop me from seeing Nina!"Harley howled and then punched Tom in the face

The two men wrestled relentlessly.The strength Harley displayed was astonishing.Tom was no match for him at all.

Tom beckoned for help the moment he was injured.The staff and police came out together,they held Harley down.

The scene was chaotic.The solemn funeral home didn’t return to peace until the police took away the bleeding Harley.
