"You’re so right.I have finally seen a man’s nature!"Lily was badly hurt.She felt that Tom had taken advantage of her and that made her hate Nina to the extreme.

Lily looked Sylvia in the eyes and said bluntly,

"I’m willing to cooperate with you.How do you plan on dealing with those two?"

Sylvia liked when a woman who dared to love also hated.She felt Lily was similar to her in some aspects.

"Now you hate Tom so much?Don’t you want him anymore?"Sylvia was testing Lily to confirm the ultimate purpose of their cooperation.

Lily rolled her eyes and said,

"It depends on whether he’ll change his mind or not.It all lies on if he has a conscience or not."

"Do you think Tom has one?"Sylvia asked with a chuckle,trying her best to arouse the determination of getting rid of Nina in Lily’s mind.

"Men change when they get rich.If you still want Tom,you have to work towards achieving it.After all the heart can be won."Lily nodded as she realized what Sylvia said made lots of sense.

Besides,Tom was a millionaire now.With Lily’s poor background,it was almost impossible for her to find a rich husband.

After pondering for a while,Lily asked.

"If I agree to cooperate with you,what do you plan on doing to Nina?*

"I’ll arrange it later."Sylvia spoke cautiously,since she wasn’t sure of Lily’s participation.

Lily quickly noticed that Sylvia had some reservation,she thought for a while and agreed, 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞

"Okay,I’m in,if you need to do anything,just let me do it."

With this,they were ready to work together to deal with Nina.As long as they got rid of their mutual enemy,those they loved would find their way back to them.

That night,Tom arrived his rented apartment to pack up his things,he didn’t inform Lily that he had won the lottery.

The moment he walked in,a delicious aroma filled his noise,he met Lily cooking dinner.

"Tom,you’re back so early,didn’t you have much work to do today?"Lily pretended to devoid of the knowledge that he had won a lot of money.

Tom really didn’t like Lily,despite the fact that she was an gentle as a dove,she still couldn’t tug his heartstrings.

"It’s rare to see you home so early."Lily added,Tom lied to her that his boss had allowed them go early.He excused himself and went into the bedroom to pack his belongings.

"Are you moving?,Where are you going to?"Lily asked the moment she reached his room to serve him dinner.

In order not to hurt her feelings,he came up with another lie,

"Yes,I’m leaving Lily,the company just transferred me to another city,for about a year and half.But you can stay here while I’m aware."

Lily had listened to the recordings over,and over again.Of course she knew that Tom was blatantly lying to her.

Playing along,she said,

"Since the company has decided to take you so seriously,you really need to seize the opportunity."

"Yes,I think so too."Tom nodded in agreement,he took out a huge stack of cash from his pocket.He put it in Lily’s hand and said earnestly,

"Lily,while I’m away for work,I need you to use this and take care of yourself.If you need anything else,just give me a call."

Seeing the cash in her hand,Lily estimated it to be about sixteen thousand dollars.The amount was really huge for someone like Lily.

However Tom had just won a lottery of eight figures!

It was just a scoop out of an ocean.The rest of the money would be spent on who?Nina?

Thinking of this,Lily felt really terrible,she knew a larger amount would be spent on Nina.All she could feel was jealousy and envy.

She calmed her self and flashed an appreciative smile to Tom.She got into his arm and said in a sweet voice,

"Tom,I really don’t need anything except you.Can you take me with you?"

"No..."Tom coaxedly pushed her off his chest,

"Lily,the place I’m going to work is very remote.You’ll be better off here than there."he added more soothingly.

Lily pouted unhappily and said,

"A man’s mouth is filled with lies.What if you leave and don’t return?"

"Why shouldn’t I?Don’t think about it too much."Tom smiled perfunctorily and touched her head in a bit to comfort her,he added,

"Just take care of yourself,a year will elapse soon"

Lily didn’t want Tom to leave.After he was done packing his bag and ready to leave.She couldn’t contend her emotions,she stopped him and said,

"Tom,don’t leave.I have a question to ask you!"

Seeing that Tom was about to leave,she hurried to him,and caught up with him.

Tom stopped and looked back at her.Impatiently he asked,

"What else do you want me to do for you?"

"You didn’t inform me about where you got so much money from?"She wanted testing him for the last time to see if he’ll tell her the truth or not.

Tom paused for a moment before saying,

"It was a buisness allowance from the company.You can have it.I don’t lack money."

As soon as he finished his words,he didn’t want Lily to pester him again,so he said,

"I’ll take the train tonight.I’m heading to the train station now.Don’t stay up too late!"

The previous time he was drunk,he had gotten intimate with Lily.The money he gave her,was his way of compensating her.

"Well take care of yourself.And don’t forget to contact me often."Tom added before walking out from the door.Lily stared sadly at his figure until he disappeared into the darkness.

Although she knew clearly that all he said were lies,she just didn’t want to expose his lies yet.

As long as she and Sylvia worked together to get rid of Nina,Tom would naturally come back to her and Harley to Sylvia,and everyone would be happy.

That night after leaving his apartment,Tom sneaked into the hotel were Nina stayed.

Nina had proposed to get rid of her late parents belongings at the house which had been burnt in the following days,so she would leave a few days later.

Tom had planned to accompany her silently.He didn’t want to disturb her,so he just stood in the dark.
