Unscented-Chapter 1040 - 982 The Children Are Missing.
"Don’t worry.Maybe someone saw something,why not check the list and see who’s not here?"One of her friend’s suggested.Melissa listened to her friend,she stood up and began checking the list.Two of her friends weren’t present at the moment,and no one knew where they were.
Melissa placed a call to them swiftly.When the answered the call,they said to her.
"We’ll be there in a jiffy.
When they made it back,they talked to Melissa about what took them outside.
It turned out that they had just a seem woman holding the two babies.At first they thought that she was friends with Melissa.
However,when the woman was about to take the children out of the edifice,they had stopped the woman,but this woman told them that her name was Claire Gibson.That they should channel their questions to Melissa.
They were worried that something was wrong,so they trailed behind,but they were ward off by the men which accompanied Claire.They were anxious to come tell Melissa about it.
They had thought they’ll be back within a minute or two,hence they decided not to call her,but the scurried back the moment they received Melissa’s call.
After Melissa had heard their yarn,she said to them,
"Please help me find Claire.Yes,I have some conflicts with her,but it has nothing to do with the kids.If anyone finds her and stops her,please inform me straightaway."
Her friends found her reactions strange,one of them asked,
"Shouldn’t we inform the police first?Isn’t this a case of kidnapping?Or is she really your friend who just forcibly took the children away?"
Melissa didn’t have the luxury of time to explain the situation in details.
"She has a right to hold the kids,but I must be informed before she does so.And today,she wasn’t meant to take them away.
"Today’s the kids hundredth day.We’ll discuss about the details later.Please just help me find the children first."Melissa pleaded with trembled lips.She pulled one of her friends who witnessed the incident,they both went to the place were Claire was last seen.
When they arrived the location,there was no trace of Claire at all.She requested her other friends to look around,but neither the children nor Claire was found.Melissa sat on a seat in the hall and cried unconsolably.
If she had instructed someone to go welcome her friends,rather than leaving the kids,she was certain that the kids wouldn’t have been taken away. 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺
"Don’t cry.Crying wouldn’t resolve this problem.Let search for the children instead.Maybe Claire hasn’t exited the hospital yet.They might have just hid somewhere with the kids.Shayna said to Melissa.Melissa found Shayna’s words reasonable.She hurried to the hotel with her.
When they returned to the hotel,the asked others if they had seen Claire.However their responses were negative.Melissa went into the hotel and demanded for the surveillance footage from the receptionist after informing them of the happenings.
"We just want to watch it here,we don’t need a copy"Melissa added.
"Unless you have the relevant documents,or a signature from the relevant departments,you don’t have a right to a copy of the surveillance footage."The receptionist explained calmly.
Melissa nodded as she didn’t need a copy.When the video was played.Melissa saw Claire disappear from the screen,but couldn’t decipher where exactly she went.
This was also because the hotel’s surveillance cameras were only aimed at the inside of the hotel.There was only a little part of the outside that was captured.
At this moment,Melissa felt very helpless and was oblivious on what next to do.
"Why do I have to to be tortured over and over again?"Melissa muttered with trembling lips as tears rolled down her eyes.
"Melissa,I think you can get in touch with Claire from Murray,why don’t you give him a call?"Shayna suggested.She was aware that if Melissa called Claire herself,she most likely wouldn’t take the call.If Claire was that morally upright to answer Melissa’s call,then she wouldn’t have taken the children away without informing her.
"Yes,yes.I’ll call Murray right away."Melissa took out her phone from her purse and called Murray.
"The number you have dialed is not answering.If you want to leave a message,please leave a message after hearing the beep."
After hanging up the call,Melissa tried to call again but the result was exact.Melissa couldn’t help but feel a little infuriated.
She knew that the decision of whom to raise the children belonged solely to Murray and Claire.It was not wrong for either of them to take care of the children.But since she had taken back the children angrily.They were now her responsibilities.
Melissa dialed a familiar number without hesitation,when the voice from the other end came in,Melissa narrated to them what had happened.
"Did you call the police?What if Murray calls you back soon?"Shayna questioned realizing that matter had escalated.
"There’s no need to wait any longer.I have to ensure the safety of my children.No matter what Claire wants to do,I have to be ready for her.She was determined to use her last strength in searching for her kids.
