Chapter 64: Chapter 64: Women at War

Seeing Liu Shilin’s pretty face turn a noticeable shade of pink, Lin Kuang couldn’t help but smile. "All better?"

"Mhm, yes... I’m better. Thank you, Lin Kuang," Liu Shilin said, her face blushing. After all, such private matters were too embarrassing for her to bring up. Deep down, however, she was truly grateful to Lin Kuang. The pain had been genuine torture.

Lin Kuang naturally noticed the shyness in her beautiful eyes and didn’t press the matter.

"Shilin, I’ll go get the car. You can get ready," Lin Kuang offered a small smile and walked out of the lobby.

Watching him leave, Liu Shilin let out a sigh of relief. Her beautiful eyes quietly followed his departing figure, her thoughts a mystery.

A short while later, Lin Kuang pulled the car up to the building’s entrance, and Liu Shilin walked out to meet him.

Once she was in, Lin Kuang drove away, heading straight for the company.

By the time the two of them arrived, it was almost 9 AM. Liu Shilin’s issue had delayed them for quite some time.

After getting out of the car, the pair headed straight for the twelfth floor.

"Oh my, Shilin, why are you so late today? You two didn’t overwork yourselves last night, did you?"

The moment they stepped out of the elevator, they were met by the flirtatious Lin Guo’er. Seeing Liu Shilin and Lin Kuang emerge together, she couldn’t help but tease them with a grin, her charming eyes sizing them both up.

"Lin Guo’er, what nonsense are you spouting! Are you already in heat this early in the morning?" Liu Shilin’s pretty face flushed red as she snapped.

"Alright, alright, I get it. No need to explain," Lin Guo’er said with a knowing look. She deliberately winked at Liu Shilin before swaying her sexy hips and turning to walk away.

At this, Liu Shilin was so furious she ground her teeth. "That blasted Guo’er! Just you wait, I’ll find a chance to teach you a lesson!" she muttered fiercely before storming into her office.

Seeing this, Lin Kuang looked around innocently before following Liu Shilin inside.

The morning passed uneventfully. In the afternoon, just as everyone was finishing lunch and preparing to get back to work, a woman arrived at Yashi.

The woman was stunningly beautiful, with long, snow-white legs, a seductively slender waist, and an ample bust. However, her thin eyelids and slightly upturned eyebrows gave the impression that she was not an easy person to deal with.

"Manager Han, what brings you here all of a sudden?" As Han Qiaoqiao entered the company, Duoduo happened to see her and greeted her with a smile.

Han Qiaoqiao’s eyebrow twitched. "Hmph. Do I need to inform you when I visit? Who do you think you are?!" she snapped, her tone dripping with hostility.

Hearing her words, Duoduo froze for a moment. The next moment, her innocent little face filled with hurt. She was a naturally sweet and obedient girl. Her usual boldness was reserved for playful banter with her friends, so being spoken to so harshly by Han Qiaoqiao left her at a loss for words.

"Manager Han, there’s no need for that. Why are you insulting people?" Seeing Duoduo being treated so unfairly, Susu couldn’t help but stand up. A hint of anger colored her pretty face as she spoke.

"And what bitch are you? Do you have any right to speak here?" Han Qiaoqiao sneered, glancing disdainfully at Susu.

Susu’s face flushed red with anger, and her chest heaved slightly. She wanted to retort but didn’t know what to say. Han Qiaoqiao was from the Han Family, and their company was a partner of Yashi. If Susu offended her, the partnership might be canceled, which would result in a significant loss.

So, after a long hesitation, Susu said nothing at all.

Seeing both Susu and Duoduo rendered speechless, a smirk that was equal parts triumph and contempt crossed Han Qiaoqiao’s lips. She started walking toward Liu Shilin’s office.

It was only then that everyone noticed the two muscular Black bodyguards following behind her.

"Which un-brushed bitch is screaming in our company? Did you overdose on your meds this morning?"

Just then, Lin Guo’er emerged from seemingly nowhere to block Han Qiaoqiao’s path. Her words were scathing, showing no intention of giving Han Qiaoqiao any face.

Han Qiaoqiao, who had been feeling rather smug just a moment ago, saw her expression turn ugly at Lin Guo’er’s verbal assault. "Lin Guo’er, it’s not your place to speak! Get Liu Shilin out here to see me!"

Han Qiaoqiao forcefully suppressed her rage. She knew Lin Guo’er’s background wasn’t simple. In fact, the one person in all of Yashi she was truly wary of was Lin Guo’er. If not for her, Han Qiaoqiao would have used various schemes to ruin Yashi long ago. How else could this company have survived until now?

"Hmph, Han Qiaoqiao, stop showing off. You’re just a manager at the Han Family’s company, and I’m a manager at Yashi. What makes you think you’re above talking to me? Don’t you dare act all high and mighty in my presence! This is Yashi, not your Han family estate. If you want to throw a princely tantrum, go home and do it. Don’t cause trouble here!" Lin Guo’er said, holding nothing back.

She was already annoyed just looking at Han Qiaoqiao, and seeing her bully Duoduo and Susu ignited a firestorm of anger within her.

Hearing Lin Guo’er’s words, Han Qiaoqiao’s face grew even darker. She desperately wanted to scream curses at her, but she knew she couldn’t. She had to endure.

Taking a deep breath to compose herself, Han Qiaoqiao said, "Lin Guo’er, you don’t have the authority to decide this. I need to talk to Liu Shilin. This is about our partnership!" 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝒆𝔀𝒆𝙗𝓷𝒐𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝓶

Lin Guo’er stared her down. "What? Trying to threaten me with the partnership? Han Qiaoqiao, let me tell you this right now: if you dare to play dirty with me, you’ll face the consequences!"

Others might fear Han Qiaoqiao, but Lin Guo’er was utterly unfazed.

"Hmph! Lin Guo’er, don’t push me too far!" Han Qiaoqiao shouted, clearly losing control of her temper.

"Push you too far? Trash like you isn’t even worth my time to bully!" Lin Guo’er shot Han Qiaoqiao an indifferent glance before turning and heading toward Liu Shilin’s office.

Watching Lin Guo’er’s departing back, a venomous glint flashed in Han Qiaoqiao’s eyes, and her hands clenched into tight fists.

Lin Guo’er, there will be other chances. Just you wait! she thought, her expression remaining unchanged. Clearly, this woman’s schemes ran deep, and she was not one to be trifled with.

Meanwhile, inside Liu Shilin’s office, Lin Kuang had heard everything that happened outside with perfect clarity.

Lin Guo’er’s ferocity, in particular, stunned him.

But on second thought, he realized it made sense. Lin Guo’er has always been a fierce woman, after all.
