Unrivaled Soldier in the City-Chapter 63 A Bit Awkward
"It’s fine, really. This is a feast for me. Thank you, Sister Ruotong," Lin Kuang said with a smile.
Yang Ruotong seemed quite pleased to be called "Sister Ruotong." A faint smile graced her enticing lips again. Under the sunlight, her smile was an utterly captivating sight. For a moment, Lin Kuang was mesmerized, staring blankly at her face.
Sensing his stare, Yang Ruotong felt a flicker of annoyance. She was about to glare at Lin Kuang as a warning. However, when she saw the pure innocence in his eyes, completely free of any ulterior thoughts, her irritation vanished. She had never seen such profound, such pure eyes before.
It’s said that the eyes are the windows to the soul, revealing a great deal about a person. It seemed to be true. Her face flushing slightly, Yang Ruotong averted her gaze, no longer meeting his.
Only when she turned away did Lin Kuang snap back to his senses. He felt a bit embarrassed by his reaction but was relieved she didn’t seem to hold it against him.
After breakfast, Lin Kuang left. He had work to do, after all, even if the job required very little of him.
At seven-thirty, Lin Kuang returned home on time.
Back home, he didn’t see Liu Shilin or the little Witch. He knew the little Witch had gone to school, but Liu Shilin’s absence from the main hall puzzled him.
He didn’t dwell on it, though. Perhaps she’s just busy with something upstairs.
With that thought, Lin Kuang took a quick shower, changed his clothes, and sat on the sofa to wait. By eight o’clock, Liu Shilin still hadn’t come downstairs.
This struck Lin Kuang as odd. From his interactions with her over the past few days, he knew Liu Shilin was a very punctual person. She should have been downstairs by now. After a moment’s thought, Lin Kuang headed up to the second floor.
Standing at the landing, Lin Kuang asked softly, "Shilin, are you there?"
"Yes... I’m here." Liu Shilin’s voice drifted from her room, tinged with pain.
Hearing this, Lin Kuang frowned. Something doesn’t sound right.
With that thought, he walked to Liu Shilin’s bedroom door and knocked gently. "Shilin, may I come in?"
"Yes, come in," Liu Shilin replied, the pain in her voice even more evident.
Lin Kuang pushed the door open and stepped inside. It was his first time in her room. It was simply furnished with a bed, a wardrobe, and a computer on a desk. The walls were painted a pleasant light blue.
A faint fragrance wafted through the air. Is that her natural scent, or perfume?
His gaze immediately fell on Liu Shilin, who was in bed. Unlike her usual rosy, radiant complexion, her face was now pale, her lips had a purplish tint, and an expression of undeniable pain marred her features.
Lin Kuang took a few steps closer, his voice filled with concern. "Are you sick?"
"No... not really. It’s just a minor physical issue," she replied. For some reason, a blush crept across her pale cheeks as she spoke.
Lin Kuang frowned. He knelt beside the bed and, without a word, took her wrist to check her pulse.
Startled, Liu Shilin instinctively thought Lin Kuang was about to do something to her. To her surprise, however, she realized he was taking her pulse!
"Lin... Lin Kuang, you know medicine?" she couldn’t help but ask.
"I know a little," Lin Kuang replied.
Liu Shilin just murmured, "Oh," and fell silent. A blush colored her pale face, as if she were afraid of what he might discover.
A moment later, Lin Kuang released her wrist, a relaxed smile on his face.
"It’s menstrual cramps, isn’t it?" he asked with a gentle smile, looking at her pale face.
At his words, Liu Shilin’s face turned an even deeper shade of red. Her beautiful eyes were filled with an indescribable shyness, but she still nodded.
"There’s nothing to be embarrassed about," Lin Kuang said kindly. "It’s something all women go through."
Liu Shilin was so shy she was at a loss for words.
"If you have pants on under your robe, go ahead and sit up on the bed. I can help with that. Afterwards, go to the bathroom immediately, sit on the toilet, and you’ll feel better."
Liu Shilin was taken aback. She had been to the hospital several times without finding a solution, so she was understandably skeptical that Lin Kuang could fix it instantly.
"Trust me," Lin Kuang said with a reassuring smile. "I wouldn’t lie to you. Besides, what would I gain from it?"
At that, Liu Shilin nodded. He was right. As Lin Kuang had said, there was no reason for him to lie. With that thought, she nodded, shifted the covers, and sat up.
Liu Shilin was wearing a sleep robe that usually ended just below her thighs. As she sat up, it slid higher, revealing the better part of her long, white legs and even a glimpse of black lace. Lin Kuang caught only a glance before quickly averting his eyes. It would have been terribly embarrassing if she’d noticed him looking.
Once she was seated, Liu Shilin asked curiously, "Alright, what are you going to do?"
"Remember," Lin Kuang reminded her with a smile, "when I tell you to get off the bed, you need to do it right away. Go straight to the bathroom and sit on the toilet, understand?"
Liu Shilin didn’t speak, simply nodding with a blush.
"Alright, let’s begin!" As he spoke, Lin Kuang placed his hands on her back and began to gently knead and tap.
Liu Shilin felt a current of warmth enter her body, spreading through her and making her feel so hot she had the sudden impulse to let out a moan.
At that moment, Lin Kuang pulled his hands away. "Okay, go now!" he said urgently. "Don’t delay!"
Hearing him, Liu Shilin instinctively scrambled out of bed and rushed to the bathroom, sitting on the toilet just as he had instructed.
By this time, Lin Kuang was already back downstairs, waiting quietly on the sofa for her.
In truth, Liu Shilin had simply suffered from a few blocked blood vessels in her lower body. Lin Kuang had just cleared the obstruction. Once she passed the blockage, her pain would vanish completely.
Sure enough, ten minutes later, a visibly excited Liu Shilin came down from upstairs.
