Unrivaled Soldier in the City-Chapter 54: I Have the Final Say
"Thanks, that’s a huge help," Lin Kuang said, giving the nurse a polite smile before turning to leave.
"That guy is so handsome," one of the nurses said, star-struck as she watched Lin Kuang walk away.
"Alright, that’s enough. Stop staring. Didn’t you see the beautiful woman next to him?" At that moment, an older nurse beside her snapped the younger one out of it.
Taking the elevator, Lin Kuang and the Witch went straight to the sixth floor.
Upon reaching the sixth floor, Lin Kuang instantly spotted room 608. It was impossible to miss, with two conspicuous bodyguards standing guard right outside.
Seeing them, Lin Kuang strode forward with the Witch following closely behind. After all, the fighting was Lin Kuang’s business; she was just here to watch the show.
As he approached the two bodyguards, Lin Kuang acted without the slightest hesitation. Before either of them could even react, he had knocked them unconscious.
With that taken care of, he pushed the door open and entered.
Inside the room, Han Fei was lying on the hospital bed. He was still aching from the beating Lin Kuang had given him. Being a coward, he hadn’t dared to leave the hospital and planned to stay under observation for a couple of days.
The more he thought about it, however, the more resentful he became. He had no confidence in dealing with Lin Kuang directly, so his thoughts turned to Liu Shiyu. He figured that if he captured her, he could use her as leverage to threaten Lin Kuang. So, he sent his men to do the job while he waited in his hospital room.
Bored with waiting, he had found a third-rate starlet whose head was currently bobbing at his waist, much to his enjoyment. What the two of them were doing was self-evident.
Seeing the scene in the room, the Witch spat in disgust and turned her head away.
Lin Kuang, however, watched calmly, his indifferent face showing no flicker of emotion.
Lost in his pleasure, Han Fei never expected anyone to barge in. The sudden intrusion jolted him, and he instinctively looked up. When he saw Lin Kuang’s cold face, he—who had been on the verge of climax—went completely limp. His eyes filled with terror.
The starlet was bewildered. She had sensed Han Fei was about to finish, but he had suddenly gone soft, leaving her confused. When she lifted her head and saw that people had entered the room, her face flushed with embarrassment and, more intensely, rage.
She scrambled to her feet, opening her mouth to curse at Lin Kuang and the Witch. But before she could speak, Han Fei frantically pulled the blanket up over himself, covering the ugly sight beneath.
"You—what are you doing here?" he stammered, his voice filled with panic.
He had suffered at Lin Kuang’s hands before, and seeing him appear now, he was genuinely terrified.
"What am I doing here? Young Master Han, you should know perfectly well, shouldn’t you?" Lin Kuang said with a chilling half-smile as he walked forward.
"You, you, you! Don’t come any closer! I’m warning you, stay back!" Terrified, Han Fei scrambled backward on the bed, nearly falling off.
"Young Master Han, calm down. Come on, let’s have a little chat," Lin Kuang said with a broad, unsettling smile as he reached the bed.
Seeing that smile, Han Fei looked as if he had seen the most terrifying thing in the world, and his body began to tremble uncontrollably.
"I—I don’t know. I don’t know anything! Don’t ask me, I know nothing, absolutely nothing!" Han Fei said in a panic, clearly giving himself away.
"Oh? You mean you know what I’m going to ask you? Is that it, Young Master Han?" Lin Kuang asked with utter contempt, seeing Han Fei’s frightened state.
"No, no! I—I—I didn’t say anything! I said nothing, I didn’t say anything!" Han Fei blurted out, trying to explain. But the more he explained, the more he admitted he was behind it.
In truth, Lin Kuang didn’t need to ask. He already knew Han Fei was responsible because he was certain that Chen Jianhua wouldn’t dare lie to him.
"Han Fei, I went too easy on you last time. I should have crippled you then and there!" Lin Kuang said coldly, his friendly demeanor vanishing in a flash.
"No, no, please! I won’t do it again! I swear I won’t! Please, forgive me! I really won’t do it again!" Han Fei pleaded, looking like he was about to burst into tears from fear.
"Shiyu, you tell me. How should we deal with him?" Lin Kuang asked, glancing back at Liu Shiyu.
"Uh, I—I don’t know either," the Witch stammered, caught completely off guard by his sudden question.
Hearing this, Lin Kuang couldn’t help but roll his eyes. This girl is usually so fierce, but she’s losing her nerve at the critical moment.
"Our Shiyu says we should cripple one of your hands," Lin Kuang stated nonchalantly.
At his words, Han Fei, the Witch, and the starlet were all stunned. The Witch hadn’t said a word!
"Wait, wait! She—she didn’t say anything!" Han Fei cried, his voice full of grievance.
"Cut the crap. If I say she said it, she said it. I’m the one in charge here!" Lin Kuang stated flatly.
"You—you’re being unreasonable!" Han Fei choked out after a long pause.
"Reason? Young Master Han, did I hear you correctly? You want to be reasonable with me? Is this some kind of joke?" Lin Kuang sneered as if he had just heard the funniest thing in the world.
Hearing this, Han Fei was struck dumb. It’s true... I’ve never been one for reason. I’ve always been the reason!
"Cat got your tongue, Han Fei?" Lin Kuang said with a cold laugh. "As they say, you might survive a disaster sent by the heavens, but you can’t escape the consequences of your own actions. You brought all of this on yourself today! I’m warning you, this is just a lesson. If you ever dare to pull something like this again, I’ll slaughter you!" 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞
With that, he lunged forward, pinning Han Fei to the bed.
Han Fei thrashed in terror, his muffled voice begging for mercy, but why would Lin Kuang let him go? With people like this, if you don’t teach them a lesson they’ll never forget, they’ll just go on thinking they’re untouchable.
SNAP! SNAP!
With two sharp cracks, Lin Kuang broke both of Han Fei’s arms.
Pain drained all the color from Han Fei’s face. His mouth was muffled, so he was unable to utter a sound and could only endure the agony in silence. The pathetic man fainted on the spot.
The starlet was about to scream in terror, but a single cold glance from Lin Kuang sent her collapsing to the floor, soiling herself completely.
Lin Kuang shot a disdainful look at the two of them, then turned his gaze back to the Witch.
"Let’s go. This is enough for now. If this punk ever dares to try anything with you again, I’ll cripple him for good!" As he spoke, a cold glint flashed in his icy eyes.
If it weren’t for the fact that this was a hospital, he really would have just killed Han Fei. But he couldn’t do that here; there would be no way to explain his actions.
