Universal Sign-in: Ascending to Godhood With My 10x Rewards!-Chapter 30: The Ashgrove Battalionial Space
"Well, at least you aren’t going to wreck havoc and destroy the world or something," Marcus said.
Already done that.
"Your goal and mine aren’t that much different." Jericho declared, standing up. "You see, I’m someone who has waited all my life for an opportunity like this."
"What opportunity?" Marcus asked with a raised brow.
"An opportunity to leave a mark that’ll last throughout the ages. Protect people? Nonsense. That’s far too naive for an old man like you."
Marcus growled, "Hey, I don’t really appreciate you calling me an–"
"Open your eyes. There are no real heroes in this world. Neither are there real villains. There are only people with goals and dreams. And I plan to stand at the zenith of all those people." Jericho said, "And this apocalypse... what a perfect way to bring things down to an even field! And these powers, too. Two days ago, old men with money ruled the world. But what do you think would happen now that there are humans with powers like this?"
My eyes widened.
He’s making a lot of sense here.
"It means a new world order is in tow! One that’ll favor the strongest, and give them a chance to rise above all others." Jerry looked at Marcus. "You see, I know myself. I’m neither a good person nor a man who does bad things for the fun of it. Everything I do, I do for a reason." His smirk stretched wide, from ear to ear. A really crazy smirk. "Just watch me."
Does this guy know that he doesn’t even know how to use his powers yet?
I shook my head.
Marcus chuckled, shaking his head. "Whatever you say, cring– Jerry. Call me a goody two-shoes or whatever, but I’ll do everything in my strength to protect the people I can."
Jericho looked at me, almost bursting out in laughter.
I held back my chuckle.
Good. While they bicker, let me sign in.
Sign-in.
[Ding-!]

[Skill {Inventory |Legendary|} is multiplying...]
I frowned.
What the hell even is this?
Inve- what?
What a downer. I expected a weapon.
"Why are you laughing?" Marcus asked Jerry. It seemed they still bickered.
"I’m laughing because," Jerry still quivered in amusement. "You don’t know."
"Know what?!"
"You’re with people like Dustin and me."
"And so?"
"And so you’ll be corrupted. Sooner or later. It’ll be an absolute joy to watch."
As soon as I heard Jericho say this, my lips widened into a mischievous grin.
He’s absolutely right!
He has no idea.
Earlier yesterday, he told me he’ll save people even if it kills him.
Fast forward, after spending just a few hours with Jericho and me, his grand goal has been tweaked. No longer ’die to save people.’
We’re gonna alter that mindset for you, Unc.
You don’t survive a stormy sea by playing hero.

[Ding-! 10 × {Inventory} = {Ashgrove Battalionial Space |Primordial|}!]
Another skill, huh.
I’m not complaining or anything, but it could’ve been something better.
Like, maybe say, a damn weapon!
What the hell even is this skill?
Ash wha–?
I growled.
Status window.
As my status window appeared, I gazed down at the skill tab immediately.
I need to see the skill description.
=====
°Skills: Cold-Blooded|passive|{legendary}
Ashgrove Battalionial Space|Active|{Primordial}
=====
Wait a damn minute.
Primordial rank???
Primordial? Ain’t that one useless title the only primordial rank shit I’ve seen?
Ha.
What the hell?
I’m being ’wowed’ a lot today. And I just woke up a few minutes ago.
[Tap to see skill description.]
With my mind, I opened the skill description.
[Ashgrove, a battalionial space — a private, personal space where the old, dead gods stored their armies, treasures and every single item they possessed — once belonged to the now disappeared Primordial Guardian. It was a space where he stored his millions of insane clones and trained his billions of soldiers. Ashgrove is a growth-type skill.]
[Capacity: Size of a small room. The more your mana grows, the more the capacity of the Battalionial space grows.]
Reading the skill gave me goosebumps.
I swallowed.
Okay...
I think this is way better than a weapon.
Don’t you think so?
I blinked.
Huh? Am I speaking to a second person aga–
"So what are we going to do now, Duz?" Marcus asked me. It seemed he and Jerry had finally stopped bickering.
I stood up, and my belly rumbled.
"I’m hungry."
"I think I have a good idea," Jericho spoke, smiling mischievously.
Oh, damn.
"What’s that?" Marcus asked as he stood up.
Wait a minute.
My class skills have been unlocked?
My mind didn’t even register this.
"Guys from the groups went out to find food earlier," Jericho said. "And they came back with quite a lot for their respective groups."
"Oh yeah, Duz was still sleeping."
"He’s a deep sleeper. Anyway, why don’t we go hunt for our own food, hm? I think it’ll be a good chance to check out what I can really do now." Jericho uttered.
Scratch that food bullshit.
Just say you want us to risk our lives and security in a monster-infested city to find out just how much light you can generate.
I shook my head.
To be honest, I even want to find out.
"Not bad. I’m in." Marcus declared. "I feel like my punch might’ve gotten stronger, too. I might need a new hammer, though. Left my old one at that bridge."
"Huh?" Jericho hummed. "Hammer? And what bridge?"
"Oh." Marcus grinned. "Well, I fight with a hammer. Didn’t Duz tell you? And as for the bridge, you’ll find out... soon."
Jerry shrugged. "Whatever."
"So, you in, Duz?" Marcus asked me.
Why not? Would I ever miss out on a chance to Exp farm?
"Hell yeah."
But first of all, what the hell is this class skill??
