Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations-Chapter 1234: Directly Into His Arms
Six o’clock? Jogging?
Jasmine watched Ian Shelby get into the car and saw it drive away.
"Jocelyn Morgan! Is he taking you for a run?" Jasmine was stunned. "Can you even get up that early?"
"Yes, I can!" the girl’s voice was cheerful, "I must be able to!"
She was like a lark, her eyes sparkling with happiness, "Goodnight, I’m going to sleep now! Early to bed, early to rise!" With that, she turned and went upstairs.
After she went upstairs, Everett Morgan smiled at his wife and said, "You see, young people today do have a sense of propriety."
Jasmine felt her worries ease, "It seems Jocelyn really likes Dr. Shelby, she’s willing to change for him."
"That’s what they call, the power of love."
It’s okay for Dr. Shelby to be a little busy, as long as she likes it. When it comes to love, outsiders never fully understand.
As elders, Jasmine and Everett Morgan focus on character.
The night grew deep.
The next morning.
Ian Shelby’s car stopped punctually outside the Morgan family’s villa.
Wearing a white shirt, he got out of the car with a graceful air, leaning slightly against the passenger side, waiting for the girl.
In no time, Jocelyn Morgan came out with a backpack on her back.
Seeing him, she jogged across the yard with joy, heading straight toward him!
Ian Shelby’s lips curved into a smile, "Good morning, little fairy!"
"Good morning, Dr. Shelby!"
"Let’s go to the riverside, you can get in the car first." He said, opening the car door for her.
"Okay." The girl slipped in.
Ian Shelby got back into the driver’s seat and soon drove away.
A few minutes later, at the riverside with a clear view, the moment of sunrise was stunningly beautiful. The entire sky was painted red, and the morning glow mirrored on the river, mesmerizingly scarlet.
The early morning wind was cool, and the air was exceptionally fresh.
Ian Shelby deliberately slowed down his pace to match hers, sensing her fatigue.
The beautiful morning glow bathed their faces, and as they ran, Ian Shelby took Jocelyn Morgan’s hand, "Are you feeling a bit worn out? Just hang in there."
"I’m okay!" she panted, her legs feeling a bit sore, as she usually didn’t exercise much.
After just two kilometers, fine sweat was already appearing on her forehead.
But in front of someone she likes, Jocelyn Morgan wanted to persist as much as possible, to prove she was not a quitter.
"Hang in there a little longer..." Ian Shelby said to her again, "Complete three kilometers before stopping, there’s no benefit in quitting halfway."
"Okay, okay." And she kept persisting, nodding with gritted teeth.
By the time she completed three kilometers, Jocelyn Morgan felt like her whole body was falling apart.
Ian Shelby took a bottle of water from the car, unscrewed the cap, and handed it to her, "Drink slowly, don’t choke."
"Thank you." She reached out to take it.
He was really so gentle!
He said, "I hope you maintain a healthy body, keep exercising."
"I will!" 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢
Then Ian Shelby drove her to have breakfast.
"Would you like to come to the hospital with me?" Ian Shelby asked.
"Sure," Jocelyn Morgan was very happy, "I can use your computer to write today’s update."
"Sounds good."
With that, he drove her to the hospital.
About 50 meters away from the hospital, there was a newly opened flower shop, and sitting in the passenger seat, Jocelyn Morgan spotted the sign, "Stop the car, I want to go buy something first!"
At that moment, Ian Shelby’s phone rang. While parking, he answered the call and listened to the other side, "Okay, I’m coming right away."
"You go ahead to the hospital, I’ll catch up later, no need to wait for me!" the girl said, getting out of the car, closing the door, and waving to him.
Ian Shelby had an urgent matter. He glanced at her figure walking into the flower shop and then drove towards the hospital lobby.
Entering the flower shop, a variety of flower scents greeted her, and the flowers were in full bloom, refreshing her spirit.
She could place some flowers in his office for a touch of color.
She had a love for life, with the heart of a little girl, especially fond of caring for flowers.
Downstairs at the hospital.
Just as Ian Shelby got out of the car, Vera Ford appeared out of nowhere, "Oh!" Her high heel twisted, and she fell straight into Ian Shelby’s arms.
He had just locked the car door and hadn’t reacted!
