Tribal Sign-In: Immortal At The Start-Chapter 219: Barleyhen Town, Titles
Minutes later, the main entrance of Barleyhen town fell into Rion’s vision, and without stopping, the carriage entered the town.
Just as it entered, the sign-in system activated, and a blue screen flickered before his eyes.
[Ding!]
[Sign in at <The Barleyhen Town>?]
[Yes / No]
’Yes,’ Rion answered without a delay.
[You have signed in at the <The Barleyhen Town>!]
[You have obtained an active skill (Fast Hands)!]
’Huh...?’
[Ding!]
[Lucky spin is in effect!]
[You have obtained (No Reward)!]
[You did not obtain any reward.]
Rion’s expression immediately turned bitter, but the system was not yet done.

Before his very eyes, the profile screen began to change, and new words started to pop up all over it.

Just as he read the titles, a splitting headache struck him.
"Ugh!" A groan escaped him, and Calvus asked immediately, "Is there any trouble?"
Jamie, Dora and Zaelyane were also looking at him with a worried expression.
Shaking his head, Rion answered in a slightly heavy voice, "I am fine..."
Lowering his head, he gritted his teeth as the pain continued to intensify, and it was then that another screen appeared before him.
[Titles have been activated!]
[Title: Paradoxborn is in effect!]
[You can now listen and keep knowledge that should not exist!]
With that message, Rion’s headache began to lessen, and once it was completely gone, Rion sank into his seat. Breathing heavily, he muttered, "I shouldn’t have eaten that mushroom..."
Hearing him, Calvus and Jamie looked at each other in bafflement, while Zaelyane and Dora looked at him with confusion, as he had eaten no mushroom, but Rion needed to give Calvus a reason for why he was suddenly acting like that.
As for his own people, he sent a Mental Whisper to both of them. <I will explain it later...> Ď
Both of them continued to look at him. Dora snuggled closer and mumbled, "Please, do not do anything stupid..." Ď
He smiled, gave her a nod and decided to look out for a now.
Outside, his gaze fell on the houses that were built with both stone and wood; all of them had chimneys from which smoke was coming out, as it was already dinner time.
The path was also of cobblestone, and to keep it bright, lanterns were hung on the wooden posts surrounding it.
He could also see bigger buildings that were either taverns or some kind of staying quarters.
The town was bright with lanterns, braziers and other sorts of light-producing devices.
As they made their way towards the main estate of house Barely, the pedestrians — Citizens or not — stopped and watched the carriage pass with a smile, indicating the respect that house Barely had built under their fair rule.
But not everything was good, and not everyone was happy.
Rion could also see homeless people and beggars sitting by the road posts, and Calvus was aware of that.
However, he didn’t say anything and Rion didn’t need to be told.
He knew that not everything could be solved, and a world where everyone was happy was just a dream.
A few minutes later, the carriage stopped before a grand manor, and Calvus announced with a beautiful smile, "We have reached our destination."
Rion stared at the manor with gleaming eyes.
However, Dora had no reaction, which was strange for her, but for now, Rion decided to ask her once they were alone.
One of the three knights who were on the horses walked closer to the main iron gate and announced Calvus’s return to the guard inside.
The next moment, the iron gates cried open, and the carriage moved inside.
Rion’s gaze fell onto the beautiful garden surrounding the path leading to the main manor.
The edge of the garden was full of topiary bushes and various kinds of flowers, and at the centre of it was a pond which had a gazebo beside it.
As they neared for the first time, a person with an aura entered his Zone, and Rion’s gaze instantly shifted towards that person.
’Is that the count?’ He wondered and checked what the person looked like, and much to his surprise, that person was not the count but instead a knight.
The person was wearing similar silver-plated armour with a lion head at the chestplate; the only difference between Salis and theirs was that instead of two stars at the shoulder plates, they had three.
’Is he the captain of the silver lion knights?’ He thought, and the carriage finally came to a stop.
Salis was first to step down from the carriage, after him were Jamie, Calvus, Rion, Dora and Zaelyane.
The other three knights were already there, and with them was Yuura, who was staring at the horses with a bitter expression.
Calvus placed a hand on his heart and said, "Welcome to the Barely estate."
Rion smiled and responded, "I am very thankful for your help, Calvus."
Flexing his left arm, he added, "Let me know if you ever get into trouble and I’ll help you with everything!"
Calvus smiled, turning around, he looked at the young maid who was already standing at the entrance, and he said, "Aliyah, please show our guests their stays."
Aliyah gave him a deep bow and replied, "As you wish, young master."
