Chapter 62: Slut 2

"Alright, I’ll wish you the best." Jayden waved off Zoe while he and Tyler ran to embrace Ryan.

Tyler pulled Ryan into a manly hug, "Bro, you’ve gotta tell me how you pulled that off."

Jayden shook hands with him just before the bumping shoulders with each other, "Mennn, you were like invisible." Jayden then added abruptly, "Wait..."

Ryan and Tyler raised an eyebrow while he made that look that told them he had something in mind.

Jayden pointed fingers at them, "I think we should call him, ’The living ghost."

They burst into laughter,

"Yup, I vote that", Tyler raised his hand.

Ryan smiled, still looking at the testing ground like he didn’t believe he actually just cleared it at his first try.

Mr Tony smiled at the group before calling team two into the testing arena.

They turned out to be some bunch of copycats, imimicking the exact moves Jayden’s team implemented, and yeah, things did work out for them.

But you know the saying, ’Only someone who can back up his grades earned it.’

Let’s see how they’re gonna hold up during exams.

Jayden winked at Zoe before her team was called but she just smiled and nervously went ahead.

She talked to the professor a bit and then... what’s this? The whole of team 3 was going at once.

Jayden nodded, "Teamwork!"

Zoe’s team stood outside the first set of traps, first testing what command hides behind each trap trigger.

Ella’s heart almost escaped her when she stepped on a trap trigger with vertical markings.

She stumbled backwards and fell to the floor, looking at the tall pillar of earth in front of her.

Soft girl choices, only walking on trap triggers with horizontal which wouldn’t give them much trouble like the rest.

Zoe gave her a hand up, then they entered the trap one after the other.

The first person stepped in, and the other two took care of the blade projectile. Then, while moving to the next trap trigger, another of them stepped into the former before it reset.

Hopojng and defending each other, they cleared the first set of traps with teamwork.

Natasha and Ella seemed to be happy working together with Zoe since he was always very harsh and repulsive.

Zoe led them through the second lane, counting from the left, and on reaching the hammer section, they held hands together, and Zoe’s hairy fox tails began spinning like the blades of a helicopter and eventually lifted them over the hammers.

They could have just flown out of the testing grounds but I guess Zoe found the bunny interesting.

They landed and immediately started circling the arena from one angle, while the bunny, completely aware it was outnumbered, chose to keep its distance and walk in the opposite direction of the circle, forgetting it was supposed to be gatekeeping.

Like Ryan, they walked out freely but this time, with the power of teamwork.

Zoe raised both hands proudly, and the entire team slapped their palms against hers in one synchronised high-five.

Zoe looked at Jayden from afar and a silent message of appreciation passed between their gazes.

Mr Tony acknowledged the group strategy before the test proceeded.

Some past others were launched into the sky, a few used the wrong lane but no one was unlucky to meet the glorious face of the hammers.

Guess the school infirmary doesn’t get any customers today.

Let’s not forget Troy’s group, you know that rage when you forget the density of the wall and then you punch it?

Times that by ten, that’s exactly what Troy’s group was feeling.

First the humiliation of watching all teams with wack beast go before them was frustrating then to crown it all up, the supposed weakest team was taking their spotlight.

Troy blazed past the whole test in mere seconds and only Jayden and the professor saw the exact routes he followed

Rowen was just as good as his beast, jumping here and there until he cleared the whole test in less than thirty seconds.

And with Benjamin’s octopus tentacles, not a single blade touched him and covering distance quickly was even less.

And even with their anger, they followed every little detail, Mr Tony gave, only because they weren’t missing their chance to nuke Jayden’s team for good.

Mr Tony called the last candidate, "Your turn Sir Draco." He stamped his foot to the ground, and the traps changed format into a more complex structure.

"I believe having you train with the same low-grade traps as the others is a big insult, so this is for you, certainly not a training too, just participation, that’s if you wish to join in."

All students turned to baby Draco who had been quietly working on his lollipop, although he looked less imposing all of a sudden, but dragon tamers were always worth the respect.

"Look at you, being all honoured," Jayden hit his shoulders playfully.

Baby Draco’s eyes gleamed while looking around him.

This was the dream, where all eyes would be on him, worship him, fear him, where he would have his very own spotlight just like his father.

He forced a regal tone in his childish voice, "I would have loved to, but I’m not done with my lollipop."

The professor bowed slightly, "As you wish, sir."

He raised a foot to flip back the training arena into the normal field it was then...

"Wait." The professor froze in place.

Baby Draco gave Jayden the lollipop, "Protect it with your balls."

He went to the start of the test, "The goal is to get to the other end, right?"

"Yes, sir" the professor nodded.

Baby Draco looked at his arm, "Right now I should be at least B rank," he clenched his fist, ’I should still be able to handle that technique.’

He took in a deep breath while the arena went silent, all eyes fixed on him, waiting in anticipation.

Whoosh....

His leg shifted and he vanished without a trace.

No, there he is, standing at the other end of the tunnel.

"Flash step."

The crowd gasped for air, while Jayden’s team amusingly leaned forward, "What was that? Teach me!"
